      I love paper crafting. I’ve tried other methods of creating, but paper crafting, sewing, and miniatures are my preference. Paper and fabric allow for many personal touches. Miniatures are becoming harder for me as my vision fades. I frequently depend on a wheelchair to get around and can paper craft from anywhere with a little pre-planning.

      @norabaker1591 I always make a template too, sometimes even more than one until I get the measurements right. I always write measurements down as I go, so that I don't forget. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!❤

    This is so sweet and simple! I love it! Thanks for sharing this low-tech project. I always wind up having so many supplies and tools around me when I finish greeting cards. It can be exhausting knowing I have to put everything back where it belongs...made more difficult since I haven't finished organizing my art space. I am going to enjoy this project knowing you have made a way for my sanity to be intact at the end. May God bless you, your mom, and your cousin. You are making a difference in so many lives and our future as a community of hopeful people. ❤️🐧🩵

    I'm so glad I ran across your channel. I love trying everything once or twice and have a whole art store in my tiny 585 sq ft retirement apartment - I keep saying if I loose either one of my neighbors and will use this apartment as my craft room with all my supplies identified by just a 360° twirl (as if). I know I have most supplies but one thing, "art glitter glue" and many artists use it. I hope you or someone answer my question! I am homebound so I order on-line. What exactly is the glitter glue?? Whenever an artist I'm watching uses it they use it in a place where glitter would never be noticed. What am I missing?? School starts next week and I thought it would be a nice "Be My Friend" gift for my granddaughter to give to her classmates. You did a great tutorial, thank you for that!!😊

    • @GlueLala
      @GlueLala  2 місяці тому +1

      I have made them so the notepad can be replaced. However, because the cover is just cardstock, I have found that by the time I get to the end of the notepad, the cover has been pretty worn out, so that's why I just Glue the notepad down. I've never tried making a pen holder though, that gives me something to think about!😃

    Great idea and video !! Just wondering 1. how you could make the note pad replaceable to keep the same cover? Also, personally I like to have a pen or pencil with my pad, the pad doesn't do if I loose or forget a writing tool 😢 😊. 2. How could you incorporate a pen/pencil holder?
    Would love to see how you would make this cover with these two features.
    I am so new at this the only thing I have, that you used, is a pair of scissors 😅 but you and your video makes me want to do it. Keep making well explained videos you're great !!! Thank you so much for sharing.

    Why do your teachers need school supplies? You made a lovely gift, but I just wondered why they'd need pencils etc? Surely the teacher has her own and all children have their own too? I love the gift idea and the notepad cover, the question is just genuine curiosity. 🤗

    • @GlueLala
      @GlueLala  2 місяці тому +3

      Unfortunately, the funding in schools does not cover all of the supplies needed, so teachers have to pay for a lot of it out of pocket!

    • @tamielizabethallaway2413
      @tamielizabethallaway2413 2 місяці тому +4

      @@GlueLala Oh wow! That's awful! Why should teachers have to provide the stuff out of their own money? That's not good enough!
      Our schools in the UK have all the stationery and art supplies that's needed. Occasionally if it's a cookery class, then children may be given a note to give to their parents, telling them they need to bring a (£) pound or two for next week's class, something like that. But that's only because obviously schools don't stock fresh ingredients.
      It's a lovely gift idea that you made for teachers, and I'm sure they are extremely grateful, but at the same time it shouldn't be necessary to make up for the lack of sufficient government funding. Especially a rich country like AMERICA for goodness sake.
      The world is falling apart lately i think. These last couple of years have been so weird you couldn't make it up! Our government's are funding bullsh!t causes, but not ones the people need. Cost of living is difficult, and I don't know how you guys make ends meet because your groceries are 2-3 times the cost of ours.
      Buying pencils for teachers...? Who'd have thought THAT would be necessary! 😳
      But anyway, thank you for replying. Your work is very neat (major bonus points from me for that! I do appreciate a quality neat crafter! 🤗) and so I have subscribed to see what more delights you have made.

      We always have kids without supplies and we supply them our selves if parents can't afford them. Some generous parents send extras so that no one has to go without. You'd be amazed at how much $$ teachers spend out of pocket for the kids in their class. All donations are very welcomed.

      @@marilynnirkkola3483 I understand kid's themselves not having supplies... Well, the odd one or two occasionally, not as a regular occurrence. But I think it's awful that the teachers have to pay for the things the child needs to learn. They pay for the building right? Electrics, water, gas, heating, cooling, maintenance, there's books in the library, desks, chairs, gym equipment etc. If sports teachers don't have to buy balls, whistles, or baseball bats (for example) why should academic teachers have to fund their supplies? 😘

      @@tamielizabethallaway2413 …..we don't have to, we chose to. In every classroom there are children from poor families who struggle to get food on the table let alone buy school supplies. At one time they were provided by the school…budget cuts changed all that. I kept snacks in a drawer for kids without recess snacks. I cut up fruit on Friday afternoon and the kids enjoyed the treat. For some kids fruit is an expensive luxury. I bought hats, mitts for kids without..started a knitting group of parents who knitted hats etc for kids without. I've lost track of how much I spent out of pocket to make sure my kids in my room have what they need to be able to learn…you can't teach a student who’s hungry or cold. I taught 5-7 year olds. A lot of parents are very generous in helping as well.

    Beautiful job -- stenographer pad, not legal pad, just so people will be able to find in an online search.
