Its not really a straight foward answer. Put it in the fridge if you need it to last longer but in the pantry is the best place to keep it. Room temperature sauce is always going to go better with food than cold sauce.
Unless you’re coating your whole meal in tomato sauce the temperature of the sauce wont affect the food. I feel like there’s smth not FDA approved about it sitting in the cupboard.
