Having to reset your timer twice was hilarious - it's just the sort of thing that would happen to me 😂 I really enjoyed This Green & Pleasant Land. Love how your day revolves around cooking meals & the joy of getting a freshly baked loaf of bread - a sign of the times!!

The Stopping Places sounds like an interesting book and I've added it to my list of books to eventually read. I loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society book (which I listened to on audiobook) as well as the movie! I've accidentally reset or left my timer going too long for reading many times. I have been using a reading app to track my progress which has been a big help (it's called Bookly if you're curious). I started reading French Milk by Lucy Knisley which is about her adventures in Paris just out of Art School and I'm really starting to enjoy her books which involves a lot of sketching, some photographs and is in black and white. I read An Age of License by her which was also interesting and takes place many years later. David looked really proud of his haircut that you did for him! The cake looks delicious (I love anything with mango in it). Loved the dance break! Also the pasta looked delicious. Sorry your reading clock was accidentally reset twice and congrats on a successful reading bank holiday!
I watched Steel Magnolias recently as I thought it would be a nice comedy with Dolly Parton in... how wrong I was 😂 glad you knew it was a tear jerker before you started it! Also - excited that you started This Green and Pleasant Land. I loved it so hope you do too! 😊

Also a tip for potatoes, take them out of plastic bag and put in drawer or somewhere else dark and dry, also can put them in paper bag!

I cut my husband's hair and all of his coworkers thought he got it done by a professional--quite a compliment! You did a great job.
