Loved this! And I'm so glad you enjoyed Rachel's Holiday. I re-read this one last year and thought it hadn't aged too badly. This one and This Charming Man are my faves :)
So much to love in this video. So the towels. I love. The popcorn outfit. I love. The space outfit. I love. That fancy pants chopper thing, I need. Agree on Tina Burner, Tina Bogstandard I called her. I want Symone or Olivia to win. Loved this. You have kept me company while I have been sorting the house. More please. Mwah x
So good!! I can't believe it's been a year since I watched this last year. I'm so glad you changed that audiobook - as soon as you pressed play I thought I couldn't hack that narrator! Hope you loved the henna wars, I did. Well done anyway, thoroughly lovely to spend the weekend with you so to speak 🙂 xoxo
Well done Lauren! I love long reading vlogs, so this was a treat! I had your company in the kitchen with me, and managed to make a chilli and a cottage pie while watching 😁!
What a lovely cosy video! I liked Rachel's Holiday.. it wasn't perfect, but there were some things I could identify myself with and it doesn't happen often while reading or watching movies. Please do keep making cosy vlogs like this! :) You're such a great couple, you and David. And I like to watch you cook!
What a fab video, I loved it! I almost always listen to audiobooks at 1.4 speed, otherwise i don’t tend to listen as closely. Thanks so much for making this happy video.
I loved watching this video today while i was working. It was like having a friend keep me company. Might try 24hrs reading over the 4 day Easter weekend.
This was a delight! David doesn't like lime 😂 I find that I'm exhausted when I finish work before having time off - think all the adrenalin starts leaving your body or something.
Loved this vlog! Love seeing how much you can both fit into a day! I should maybe set myself some wee challenges cos sometimes I feel like the days just disappear and done nothing!
I do love me a Lauren and the Books vlog and this one was an absolute joy! I can only imagine how long it took you to edit and I’m so glad you did it! You’ve inspired me to try and commit to that much reading in a weekend! Maybe THIS VERY ONE, gasp! Not sure I have it in me to vlog it, though, haha!
I was in the same place with Burnt Sugar this week and finally finished it today! It has it's merits but for me it felt like hard work throughout and there just weren't any sparks of light/hope, it was all so bleak.
That was so good. You are so busy! I was impressed with that curry. Have now a couple of days later just received my copy of the book in the post and made that curry . Very good thanks.
I’m so glad you said this! I struggle so much with audio books because I feel like most I’ve started sound so robotic and boring. Within minutes I’m thinking of something else and not listening to the book at all because it sounds like the teacher from the Peanuts! I’ve only made it through one audio books before, Black Girl Unlimited by Echo Brown, the author read her books and she works in theater doing one woman shows, so naturally her narration of the book was fantastic. The book is amazing as well. I highly recommend!
I love this Video Lauren and David - It was a Beautiful Video. Now David - you are suppose to read some every single day - why shame on you for not reading some every single day - haha! I watch your Video on Friday Morning - the 26th of March. I am reading “The Conners Of Conner Prairie” by Janet Hale. This Book is mine. It’s a Non Fiction Book about the Indians coming to the States Of Ohio - Indiana - Michigan and about their lives. There is a real place in Indiana called Conner Prairie. This is a real interesting story. I love this Book. I got 5 Books on Hold at my Local Library. I am going to go pick them up early this morning. The weather where I live at in the State Of Indiana we got high winds last night plus pour down rain and cold out. It’s our Spring Weather. David - Please behave yourself and do some reading. Take Care Lauren & David Happy Reading ❤️🔰🔰❤️
I'm catching up on a lot of videos and LOVED this super long one from you! Now to crawl into bed and read more of Exciting Times- which is not exciting me at the moment and I am considering dnfing it :(
i really enjoyed this video, it was like a coffee table book in video form, if that makes sense? watch a bit and come back. also i love the yellow chair, where’d you buy it from, if you don’t mind me asking !!
I did miss your vlogs!! I really enjoyed this one (reminds me that, following yours last year, I did the challenge myself, right before bloody lockdown). Each time you said the word 'cuppa' it triggered something in me, making me WANT TO DRINK A CUPPA TEA. I did have one, though. I read Rachel's holiday back in early 2000, translated to Spanish (awful). Then I read the whole Walsh family saga and I think I liked it back then... Not sure I'm up for chicklit anymore. As you say, most of those books have not aged well...
Love this long vlog. How do you read so quickly🤣. Feel the same with Burnt Sugar- tres disappointed ☹️. But, Piranesi I am loving...bonkers , crazy but, getting to the part it all starts to make sense. David and lime...loved your straight face- no lime in this curry 😂😂😂.
Lovely video Lauren, and a real treat at over an hour! Loved seeing you David and Minnie (is it bad that I laughed when Minnie hit you?!) I like those towels at the beginning of the vlog, where are they from? And well done with the 24 hour reading, good job! Best Wishes 💕📚
I got such a good reading sesh done while my partner watched 4 hours of Justice League 😂 Burnt Sugar was beautifully written in parts but I found it so toxic and uncomfortable! Really excited for Small Pleasures. I LOVE the longer vlogs 😍
Love this video! Your reading vlogs are so lovely to watch! Was hoping you/someone else in the comments could answer a question about audiobooks? When you redeem your credit (on Audible for example) do you have a time limit on the book or do you get to keep the audio version forever?
Thank you so much for this bumper vlog - your vlogs are the absolute best for chilling out to! Completely random but David at 1:04:42 looks exactly like the portrait of Lytton Strachey by Carrington from the Bloomsbury Group. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Carrington_-_Strachey.jpg
David comes in from the lounge.
Lauren :"Is there room?"
David:" There's always room"
You guys are THE CUTEST!! 🥰
Amazing video thank you, love how bright, positive and upbeat you and David are (and your flat is so much fun to look at) 😀
So nice to have a long video to watch this weekend, I love this!
Loved this! And I'm so glad you enjoyed Rachel's Holiday. I re-read this one last year and thought it hadn't aged too badly. This one and This Charming Man are my faves :)
That rainy day coffee shop ambience is my absolute fave!
Thank you so much for taking part in the sprints and always just being a good egg
I'm loving this extra long video! I don't watch all in one go, but keep coming back every time I have time to watch some youtube
You are my favorite booktuber. I love your enthusiasm.
Awww this was such a nice video! Loved seeing a bit of your daily life. Congratulations on making it to 24 hours!!
I’m watching THIS while drying my hair! I always pop in my earphones and watch booktube

Just thought your reading at home vlogs are the best thing on UA-cam but loved the longer vlog even more!
I am so motivated to read after watching this!! Just in time for my week of annual leave ☺️
This was so much fun to watch!! Well done you for finishing that chunky read 😍
I love how Minnie was helping you to change bed sheets xx
Love the pink kitchen roll! She did sound very robotic on that audio book 🙈 Thanks so much for sharing so much of your life and weekend with us! x
This was a delight! David doesn't like lime 😂 I find that I'm exhausted when I finish work before having time off - think all the adrenalin starts leaving your body or something.
