Thank you for the tip with the crimp bead cover. I have struggled with using those and now I will look forward to using them! Aunties Beads is the best!

Thank you. I've been looking for something simple like this for my mom because she's always putting her glasses down and can never find them she's always running around like a chicken with their heads cut off looking for them so this is going to help her out a lot thank you so much ♡

THANK you. I just ordered some stuff from Fire Mountain to make my eyeglass holder because I wear 2 different glasses, one for close and one for far away. It's a pain to switch between them so I thought I would have my close glasses around my neck. This was a very good video!

I went to the website link for the materials used in the video but I didn't see the exact same beads. Where can I find them?

I went to your web site to look for the ring (which Tammy below referred to) but couldn't find it. I typed in eye glass holder, and numerous other words... nothing came up to match the ring holder in the video.

Can I use stretch cord making the eyeglass holder? I have eyeglass connectors I got from joann

    • @cindywells9119

Hi! I am not the creator of this video, but I hope I can help. The main concern with the stretch cord is that crimp beads can sometimes cut into the stretch cord and weaken it. When stretch cord first came onto the market everyone was pretty much told that crimp beads work perfectly fine with stretch cord, but after having more than one bracelet fall apart, I have noticed that currently the prevailing wisdom is to knot it, then seal it with glue or clear nail polish before covering it with a large-holed bead. If you can do this it might be reasonably durable, but in terms of functionality, the stretch isn’t usually that important.

Great video, but I see a lot of questions from viewers and no responses. Is anyone still there at AuntiesBeads? I would like to see some of the answers to the questions. ??? Thanks!

I made the eyeglass holder but when my friend went to use it, the beads fell off. I know I squeezed really hard on the holder bead. I don't know what I did wrong. Help.

Hi! Not the video creator, but I hope I can help. Despite having had a lot of experience with beadwork, I have had this happen more than once. If you are using crimping pliers, as usual you start with the inside indentation that-when pressed- puts a nice dent into the crimp bead. The important thing to keep in mind when you are finishing it with the outer indentation in the pliers, is that you want the pressure to fold either side of the dent over it so that they completely surround the dent tightly. I found that if I didn’t pay careful attention while doing that final fold, that the final step somehow pushed the dent outward again, giving it very little hold. When doing the final step try to hold the pliers on the side where the dent goes inward during the first step, with the top and bottom on either side oriented vertically. That seems to help, and always give your work a thorough tug test before you continue, as even when incredibly careful, I have had some crimps that I had to redo.
