This is really a good MOS. This is similar to been a network engineer. The army offer me this job back in 2010 and regret it not taking it because I was burn out from going multiple deployments. Now I’m going for Cyber as an officer.
Cyber is a good field too though. Only thing that sucks is having to wait for the MOS you WANT to open up or having to settle for something else and maybe reclassing.
I’m a 25n who just got through school and I’m currently at my first duty station. The school sucks but I feel confident in my MOS and don’t have any regrets so far. If anyone has any questions feel free to reach out or comment and I’ll try to get back to you.
@@392.Scatjae stupidly easy. The AIT is long and when I was there it was super restricted and I don’t see it changing any time soon which is the worst part. Stuck on a military base for 6 months with nothing to do but workout, go to panda or subway or go to the PX. That’s the worst part. You’re dealing with AIT bs too where you’re a “soldier” but you’re treated like a baby who needs its hand held at the same time. The school though is ridiculously easy. When I first got there I was intimidated by all the equipment we had to “learn” but in reality we would do simulators, take turns on the equipment doing things a monkey would be trained to do and then waiting in class for forever. When I left they installed internet on the computers in the classroom finally which made it more bearable but be prepared to spend 6 months in a school doing what could be done in 2-3 months. You might get accelerated if the class is small enough but I wouldn’t count on it because we are very over strength rn.
@@392.Scatjae yes you can use notes for most of the tests including the end of course ones. 25n is the longest and most thorough course so imo they are adding 25q and 25l to 25n. They are all merging into 25h and I’m pretty sure we require the shortest amount of “refresher” time in the schoolhouse but this hasn’t been officially approved yet and it’s slated for like 2025 or 2026.
To be fair setting up a TCN takes a bit of elbow grease and the UACs are pretty heavy but yeah, majority of us are sitting in a JNN for 90% of our work day
Personal experience. U will not be doing ur job AT ALL. Been out AIT a year and never done my job. I can mopp a mean Floor. Go 25b. Do not choose 25N it's not vidal at all.

🎉
Most of the equipment used in this video is older than the soldiers operating it.
Still works just fine though.
