Very cool. My great grandfather traveled from ulster Ireland to Liverpool England in the late 1800s. He was split on where he would immigrate Australia or the USA. He chose the USA, but I’ve always wondered what kind of alternative universe would have been created had I been born in Australia rather than America. You guys have an awesome country and culture. All the best.
That's a real interesting story mate! Fascinating to think of the old fellas making those desicions back in the day! When did he end up immigrating to in the U.S? Thanks for watching.
@@TheBeardedBushranger sometime in the 1890s I believe. He became a Boston cop, and later a doctor. His son, my grandfather, fought in WWII in Germany. I think it’s interesting as well. I’m a big fan of the British isles though as well. I’ll be back in Ireland in august. My grandmothers side immigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1798, and slowly made their way down to Boston in the US. My moms side came through Ellis island in 1915 from Connemara.
Hi bushranger, if you want to look at a newer bushie, please order the book Camp 64 from the Camp 64 Cafe at Dimbulah Qld. He went from Camooweal to Birdsville on foot with goats as his pack animals.
Hey Luke, I believe the whole bushranger aesthetic will be super popular with overseas audiences especially, as well as here at home. Super excited for the future and wish you all the best!
There you go mate .. privlage of the first ever comment on this channel goes to you 😂 Yup .. I'll be explaining in more detail in the month to come .. but basically it comes down to struggling with youtube growth cause I have my hands in too many pockets on lukes little tribe. This channel is all about zoning in on a very specific niche (that in my experience, seems to be popular - and there is not much out there) Thanks for getting on board.
The Swagman may be more appropriate for your channel than the Bushranger, I like what you are recreating. Please show on the map where you are travelling.
Yeah mate, though the name swagman was already used by my good mate the silly swagman so I went with something else. Also I would of used bushman but I liked the very Australian connotations of bushranger. And yeah lots of different places I'm traveling, sometimes I show on a map, other videos I give a general direction. Thanks for watching.
Hey mate, I made a longer video on Lukes little tribe explaining the shift. You can find the link below. As for the outback swagman hike, I'm goign to re-release the whole thing as a 50 minute vid on this channel once I get monitization to kick in. ua-cam.com/video/I8DBClgjXew/v-deo.html
Hello my copper brother ! You told me to check your new channel with traditional bushcraft ,so here I am! Best regards! Let's get stated! Like and sub from me! 🌳 🌲 🐗 🌲 🌳
@@TheBeardedBushranger yeah I made it because when I was super small my dad would tell me about the Emu war, 10,000 rounds made us run 986 of us had found the gun. We prayed for help to come, Then he and his cast iron catapult came ,Oh how the cannons roared, filling fickle hearts with fear so they may flee, That day the sun was dimmed by ten thousand flying flaming emu's. My father made much funnier and vivid stories, have a good day
