And… suddenly I hear him playing… and my brain can’t remember the name of it… Dancing to that many times!!! Oh my!!! Getting old? 😮 my brain just doesn’t give it to me 😂😂😂😢❤😅
Thank you for loading this episode, this was very interesting. I have ancient DNA ancestry from the Orkney Islands, so this was very interesting to watch since I haven't seen much of these islands.
Thanks for posting! Digging the taped-off-the-telly aesthetic. Love John's moment when they're questioning his ditch 😂He was and is the unsung hero of Time Team. Probably my favorite TT special, though I've not seen nearly all of them. You wouldn't happen to have Special #20 "Life on the edge 1000 BC" would you? Can't find it anywhere.
I love that the advertisements are left in. &it took me half in to realize that “ hey man these ads are from the UK”. I’m in the states. It’s weird that your ads are only distinguishable from ours by accents
In Canada the rather deep drop into the Broc would be fenced off. In Britain and Europe there seems to be a sensible few that if you're such a twit to not notice a 20 foot shear drop you are a rather waste of oxygen.
A good deal of the motives of the prehistoric people was, though, kind of philosophical. It seems archaeologists are stuck with it, whether they want it or not.
In the interests of archaeological context, I like the inclusion of television adverts relevant to the period.
AGREE !

Orkney is easily one of my favourite places in the world. The number of ancient sites you can visit is amazing . Bit windy though...
Thank you for leaving in the commercials. They made me smile.
The adds are great. So much better than you tubes adds lol. short and sweet.
Thank you so much for uploading this. It is on my top three lists of Time Team episodes and has been missing from UA-cam for years. 😊

Thank you so much for uploading this wonderful special.
It's my pleasure!
Watching them work in those conditions just makes you appreciate those ancient people who built that stuff even more. Amazing.
This is one of my favorite episodes. I was just thinking about it too.
Love the UK culture. Music, drink, and friends. Love it

never seen this thank you❤
I must make a correction: women don't fart. Women have always told me so, and I know that they wouldn't lie.

Like the old commercials.
love the old british "adverts"
You are really brave to go in there
Very interesting !
"Shrouded in mystery" equals "We don't yet know."
Looked it up, sadly currently deemed permanently closed.
it wobbles like jelly hahahaha
I’d like to see them strip a section of turf off maes Howe to expose the stonework.
❤
remember the adverts 😅
The Adverts were pure Punk Rock & Archeology great😊
PC WORLD!!!!! circa 2000
What is the Swedish folk song Gärdebylåten doing at 29:30 in Orkney?
Tack!!! ❤ Thanks! ❤😂😂😂

It's a bunker
'The Orkneys'. Cringe
archeologist need stay with ''finds'' and leave ''philosophy alone.
