That’s what the new campaigns missing. Cpt. Price’s bold initiative to get things done by any means necessary. Also the score plays a big role on convincing us how severe the mission really is. I like cutscenes and all, but watching the characters move like this feels more immersive.

I myself don't speak Russian, but what I believe he is whispering about is how his men will wipe out the village clear. Since he went alone with Price, Gaz (RIP), and Soap (RIP), he may have a hidden earpiece or mic. I believe his contacting someone in the tense fighting on the streets. As we see when the team of four defeat the helicopter troops, Sgt. Kamerov informs then. So he wants to make sure that his men have enough support even while he's not present. Tho he begins to take his objective more serious than that of Price.
I think both sides had a simple dea, but difficult once the battle took place l; Price and Co. help Kamerov take the village and in return they'll get a path that views Nikolai's location. But Kamerov may not be the easiest to work with, this is scene when the meet before going up the hill; how he tries to take off, but Price insists he comes with his team.
Then works out well, even tho Gaz insists to "beat it out of him", Price wanted to wait until situation is more in their favor and Kamerov cannot deny it.
I always liked Kamerov in the CoD series, he would ultimately always help but may not of had the best of relations with Price and Gaz. But he proves his loyalty and friendship when saving at the end of the game.
