You really have some strange taste. Once again you put one of the best entries Belgium ever had at the bottom. I think you have some Belgium issues. Israel, Poland and the United Kingdom are all top 10 material. Not one song in your top 5 deserves to be in there. I totally agree about Malta, boring as hell. But this is your decision and opinion and the only thing I can do is at least respect that!

Gunvor’s song fell into what I call the Helluva Elva category, elva being 11 in Swedish. It’s a good mid range song that never quite makes it into any country’s Top 10.
Wow! Malta and Israel 2nd and 3rd last ones... Belgium and Norway so down too... and for my great surprise, Spain in a 2nd place, in doubt as if it was the 1st... Romania is a very good one too, Malina's dress was made by an aunt of hers living close to Madrid. Sweden is my favourite one.
In the case of the Turkish entry, I have to disagree. I mean the song is AMAZING. But hearing Turkish just ruins it for me. I wish the same song had been sung in Greek or a Slavic language, but the Turkish words are just weird. My personal faves of that year were Turkey, Slovenia and Croatia.

For me easily the best ESC year from 1997 to 2001. Once you get past Macedonia, Greece and Hungary weak songs and the freakshow from Germany, things get very good. Dana was the diva but my fave was United Kingdom. Also love Cyprus, France, Croatia and Turkey. Sweden took a really long time to grow on me.
I am reviewing older ESCs now, and 1998 is the first year since 2005 for which I can say is actually GREAT. Usually, there are some dodgy songs, but the worst ones here are just ''meh''. I think that about 10-15 songs are really GOOD. I absolutely agree about Romania... it's a stunning song! In a very competitive line-up, I think that my winner will be between Romania and Cyprus. I also love Estonia, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, among others. My country (Croatia) also had a great song. And I agree... Diva is not a good song. It's iconic for representation reasons, and Dana really broke the barrier. But as a song... calling it so-so is perhaps an accolade too far.

Croatia is at my 3'rd place, isn't that high enough? xD I wrote in the video what I like about Spain; There's just the feeling in the song and his voice, and the melody. It also sounds very 90's ballad-ish, and I love that sound. I'm from Sweden.
+Agafya's Eurovision Your viewer might use mobile. The description is quite weak there. I use mobile myself, and it's quite unreadable 99% of the time. The best final so far to read your description is 1986 and 1996, at least parts of 1996. So I consentrate on the placing, not your comments and give you my favourites.... hardly with comments.
I put my comments in the videos to give a proper explanation why I put them in the order I did. If they're using a too small advice to read it, it's not my problem. My videos are made to be seen on a computer screen. Asking questions such as "why did you put X before Y?" are so silly since I give a proper, clean reason in the god damn video.

Hi, I watched ESC 1998 last week, so I come back to your video! Here is my review for your top 25: 25: I really like this song, but I understand why you don't. 24: I agree with you. This was overrated, just because it's in English... uninteresting, as you said. 23: I'm happy that my country won that year, but the song is far away from being the best song that amazing year. 22: the novelty act of 1998... hilarious! But there were better songs. 21: I disagree. Well-deserved last place! The performance was just awful... 20: a cute song. I don't find this kind of songs nostalgic, maybe because I was born in 2004, so I didn't live in the 90's. 19: I like this song. Croatia is at my 3'rd place, isn't that high enough? xD I wrote in the video what I like about Spain; There's just the feeling in the song and his voice, and the melody. It also sounds very 90's ballad-ish, and I love that sound. I'm from Sweden.
+Agafya's Eurovision Your viewer might use mobile. The description is quite weak there. I use mobile myself, and it's quite unreadable 99% of the time. The best final so far to read your description is 1986 and 1996, at least parts of 1996. So I consentrate on the placing, not your comments and give you my favourites.... hardly with comments.

I put my comments in the videos to give a proper explanation why I put them in the order I did. If they're using a too small advice to read it, it's not my problem. My videos are made to be seen on a computer screen. Asking questions such as "why did you put X before Y?" are so silly since I give a proper, clean reason in the god damn video.

25: I really like this song, but I understand why you don't.
24: I agree with you. This was overrated, just because it's in English... uninteresting, as you said.
23: I'm happy that my country won that year, but the song is far away from being the best song that amazing year.
