I keep forgetting that The Italian Job on the PS1 (which is actually pretty decent) has absolutely nothing to do with the remake and is weirdly enough based on the 1969 original.
This was one of my first PS2 games so I'll always have an unjustifiable love for it. The other 3 I got with the bundle were Jak 2, Ratchet and Clank 2 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Good times!
Hey, same here! The walls in the races were just a suggestion, so you could just roam around free will, on split screen no less. Me and my cousin used to play catch around the city, and it was glorious!
Whenever I hear "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!", my mind always jumps to the film/series The Trip, cause Rob and Steve never shut up about it.
That very short Mr. Bean reference hit me right in the feels. I loved watching that show with my older brother. The Christmas episode is one of my favorite bits of TV of all time. Thanks for the memory!
I played a lot of this in my youth, I thought it was okay. Racing through the storm drains was quite fun. But the most fun thing Ben and Peter didn't touch on was the 'up on 2 wheels' button
The ps1 based on the original movie is pretty awesome. You end up learning multiple areas on above and below the city until towards the end it all comes together. Cool.
It may be the worst game ever ... But it has a special place in my heart for being the best , and first. It's been 16 years and i still seem to remember everything
If you guys think THIS is bad: you absolutely have to play the PS2/GameCube game Roadkill. It was Twisted Metal meets GTA -- it even says it on the back of the box. This one is one of your funniest plays yet, though.
Gotta say: the choice to have the Billy and Dick graphics gently rock back and forth was an odd one, but also pleasantly soothing? It's like watching one of those bobbing water birds.
When are you guys going to be back? I miss you guys in live action. Masks or no: more worst games ever. Please? Sit six feet apart. Thank you all for all you do.
"We are the self-preservation.. society.." TIJ theme tune holds up. TO THIS DAY! How many memes will hold up for 50 years? OK, I'll give you Leroy Jenkins. But other than that?
I was going to donate some less than stellar games to charity but I feel as though the underprivileged have been through enough. How do I pass the burden onto you guys?
I used to play this as a kid. When you're small you don't notice at all whether a game is good or no... I played so many trash games that apparently and unbeknownst to me were utter sh*te :(
Loving the channel, though bit of a different comment that you may not be used to. How do you put a Mr Bean clip in (or any clip that's not yours) and ensure you do it correctly (legally n shit ha)? I'm starting a youtube channel soon (something completely unrelated to games actually) but very interested. Really don't want to be kicking a can of worms here - though I'm guessing you've done it properly so knowing what to do there myself would be very helpful! Thanks guys for the very fun reviews
You guys keep missing opportunities to bring back “This is your first warning. One more and you’re finished” which is my favourite WGE running gag. Car based games should consist of nothing but this line from now on alright? ;)
the 68 Italian job was brilliant for many reasons, the cast, the unbelievably creative use of tiny car and just overall the vehicular choreography, decent scrip, great cinematography, just the fact they had pretty much unrestricted access to entire town somehow, and probably one of the best heist movie themes ever. the abomination from 03 is precisely none of those things the German mini is massive car compared to the proper one, the cinematography is dated noisy nonsence, writing was just... catastrophic attempt at rippoff, oh and dose it even take place in Italy? was it not in LA or something.
This game doesn't look half as bad as TRUE CRIME: STREETS OF LA. That game is truly broken. It attempted to do everything the GTA series did but without the precision gameplay mechanics, good storytelling or just overall polish. SO MANY FUN GLITCHES THOUGH.
The original Italian Job is my all time favourite film, Knowing there was a 'sequel' was bad enough but this game is a travesty, quite frankly, it pains me to watch x
Catherine Morrison It’s not a sequel though. And this game isn’t too far off from the PS1 game that was based on the original either. Driver style gameplay on a map with lots of jumps and shortcuts
@@adamspain9324 I loved that one! Edit: The WGE episode, not the game lol. Was it a vidiots episode or TJ? I wanna go and re-watch that one after re-watching this lol.
People talking of remakes. Can you believe Avatar: The Last Airbender is getting a live-action show remake? Personally, I don't think we need it. What we do need is more WGE.
I have a game I wish to send to you, don’t care how much it will cost me because the shambolic of game I have will make you laugh so hard well I’m just gonna stop there, would anyone know how I send you this such game. Thanks
Googled "Handsome Rob Italian Job" to find out if his name was a joke on his appearance.
Jason Statham played Hansome Rob... so I still don't know.
You have no idea the possibilities of mild lysdexia + weed + "Handsome Rob Italian Job" that are created all at once
"The Italian Job: L.A. Heist" doesn't even make any sense.
LA Heist (spanish for italian job) makes most sense
The more quarentine episodes come out, the more hungover it's sounding
Lockdowns aren't quarantines
I keep forgetting that The Italian Job on the PS1 (which is actually pretty decent) has absolutely nothing to do with the remake and is weirdly enough based on the 1969 original.
AlexTenThousand that game was made in 2001 and the film remake didn’t come out until 2003
It was tough, but fun. Reminded me of the first Driver game.
You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!
C'yoar blimey
Jim Morrison said this to groupies for years...
@@OfficialFingazMC LOL, good one.
As a resident of Southern California, Hollywood and LA are definitely two different places.
I have such a deep love for this game cause I played it a ton when I was younger... it's definitely not great...but I can't not love it ❤️
I recall renting this game from Hastings for a weekend and playing it all the way through and really enjoying it
Same man I loved it!!!
the voice in the cutscenes is Quinton Flynn
otherwise known as Raiden in Metal Gear
This was one of my first PS2 games so I'll always have an unjustifiable love for it.

" Ross burger, Burger king "
I see you Ben.
How dare you remind me of the terrible years I spent working at B&Q.
I played a lot of this in my youth, I thought it was okay. Racing through the storm drains was quite fun.
But the most fun thing Ben and Peter didn't touch on was the 'up on 2 wheels' button
Can't really fault them for the game not having a tutorial and the control selection not showing them the actual controls
The ps1 based on the original movie is pretty awesome. You end up learning multiple areas on above and below the city until towards the end it all comes together. Cool.
"Ahnfortunately, that silly caaw 'as gon an' borrowed the blaady Parkistani ambassadah's cahr."
God job Ben and Peter are so entertaining because this game is so boring!
Will it be as bad as the film remake... we shall see...
It may be the worst game ever ... But it has a special place in my heart for being the best , and first. It's been 16 years and i still seem to remember everything
There was an Italian Job joke in Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw which stars Jason Statham
Honestly doesn’t look that bad. Probably would have thought it was fun as a kid
When there was only one pair of tire tracks in the city, it was when Handsome Rob was towing you.
Thank y'all so much for doin' what ya do. A welcome distraction.
Wait, seriously? Dig the tunes, man!
If you guys think THIS is bad: you absolutely have to play the PS2/GameCube game Roadkill. It was Twisted Metal meets GTA -- it even says it on the back of the box.
This one is one of your funniest plays yet, though.
The guy who voiced Charlie Crocker in the opening cutscene voiced Raiden in MGS2.
In the story mode it said 'rental rampage' and I thought it said 'rectal rampage'
It works as a sex joke AND an IBS joke!

Is there even a pause menu map? I mean, it should have a mini map too instead of that useless radar, but a pause map would at least be something.
"Hello I'm Jonathan Steals-cars" LOL
Our family car when I was young was a little yellow mini. Man I miss that car. 😊

Surprisingly or not searching for Climax Brighton brings up some interesting results...Also the map is basically L.A/GTA V

I think I went to school with Jonathan
Steelescars.
The music makes me think of that Spooky Swamp level from Spyro Year of the Dragon. Anyone else?
Get in Get out Get Steven (Seagull)
I found this comment helpful.
I was immediately like, “dude, it’s Raiden!”
Looked it up… yep. Quinton Flynn.
Thanks So Much💚I needed this🖤🤘😝
Plus the Mini Coupe's of 2003 were bigger than most hatchbacks of the 90s lol
In 2003 them minis were so cool and then they ruined by releasing about 3569 versions of them making them bigger everytime
Can we p[lease unpack the fact that Peter has never seen the original Italian Job.....

Why have I played most of these racing games??
I think you guys seemed to have a lot of fun playing this one.
Is that the voice of bloody Raiden from Metal Gear? All I can picture is that man/woman hybrid thing driving around L.A in a hair dressers car

One of the many sub-par PS2 games I had back in the day along with Starsky and Hutch and Knight rider. Wonderful.
You played a treasure trove of WGE episodes my dude, reapect!
Starsky game was SO limited!!
TP has a real problem with driving on the right hand side...
Your only suppose to ruin an entire cinematic legacy !
The whole point of the Italian job is the bloody cliff hanger. How do they do a sequel lol
I think it was a remake rather than a sequel. 🙂
Oh yeah, a literal cliff hanger 🤣
Is that an action figures of Eric Cantona in camo fatigues?
Roses are red
I hate to wait
The gameplay starts
At 7:28
I had a mini Cooper S and I can't tell you now it sounded nothing like this one 😂

I enjoyed this game despite never beating it. It had a kickass soundtrack.
"Like Brum" hilarious.
Me and my brother would get on the multiplayer and play tag. The campaign was so damn boring to me but that game of tag was exhilarating.
I'm surprised by how mediocre this game seems. It's like one of the least shit games to ever appear on this show.
How many of these worst games ever have been movie tie-in games?
no cinemas because it was a CD game?
AIRTIME!!!
Love Michael Caine in that thumbnail
Pure and split second were too awesome
Super fucken pumped for this one, thanks TripleJump
