Guy sent 22 cards, they’ll only insure them up to $500 a piece or 11k total. They were lost. This guys is assuming they are all PSA 10s and calling them 375k. A couple Luke sky walkers in there and that number is real easy to get to in his head. I’m sure none of them would actually get 10s. but regardless, this guy signed up for a max declared value of $500 a piece. Look out Game Stop!😄
He’s right to pursue for the value if he sent rare cards. This is just one the court of opinion is too cloudy. Just gonna have to let the lawyers and police deal with it.
$375k turned into $11k real fast! 🤦♂️ I never understood the argument of using a group submitter bc you are worried about shipping unless it is someone local like Boca & SGC. I use bulk submitters bc return shipping is much cheaper and grading the cards is usually a little cheaper as well
Dude sends in a bunch of crinkled up 1977 SW cards, claims the value as PSA 10, makes a ton of noise about how the big bad evil company lost his $375k order. Basically he's trying to extort GS out of 11k or whatever he wants to settle for. That and he talks like an emotionless AI robot.
If you are submitting that much in value, why are you not sending direct to PSA instead of going to GameStop? You would pay less. Something doesn't make sense.
THIS STORY IS A TOTAL LIE!! Anyone who actually graded with Gamestop knows that this is not even possible with the way their process is! If he lost $375k worth of carss he would have had to grade 1875 cards at $200 value per card! The declared value can only be $200! So if he is sending 1st ed Zards at $200 declared value... silly mistake then. #2: YOU CAN ONLY DO 100 CARDS PER ODDER! So he would have had 19 different submissions that just evaporated out of the system?? Hmmmm. Weird. #3: YOU SCAN IN EACH CARD 1 BY 1! You dont just hand them 1000 cards and walk out the door. You go through each card 1 by 1,and have to say yes or no right there on the spot! #4: THEY TAKE PICTURES EVERY 20 CARDS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES! Cmon, you dont think Gamestop thought of that? STOP THE GAMESTOP HATE! This is a cool program for people that dont want to pay all the crazy fees to be a platinum club member! I myself am a platinum card member and still sent cards with GS because its cheaper if you are doing 20 or less cards! If you watch any GS grading video, you would instantly see all the holes in this story! Why didnt he show a receipt? You have to pay grading fees upfront!
IF this guy is telling the truth, he has to be one of the biggest idiots ever....... Why would you send an expensive submission to a 3rd party like GameStop just b/c PSA said they are affiliated with them????? Just send the cards the way you've been doing it, straight through PSA. HUGE ASSININE MOVE !!
I’m sure when someone hands off their cards to GameStop, they give them their contact information. So I’m also assuming that GameStop prints their own shipping label, so why isn’t the tracking # then passed onto to customer so they can track the package?
Oh my The cards submitted have to have a declared value So typically when you submit cards you go with the highest value of gem 10 Raw those cards maybe about 11,000-20,000 So the settlement offer makes sense Then there is a whole thing of you accusing him of lying Again, you have to go with the declared value Which is if those cards gem 10 Then that would be the 300,000+ Lesson here, boys, and girls Is do not use group submitters Submit the cards yourself Then, of course, don’t use PSA Lastly, again too many ads!
What kind of serious card collector/grader would submit this value to a company that specializes in video games and just dipped their toe in card grading? Common sense is not common any more.
Scammer. Or a fool if you are submitting anywhere close to that dollar amount through GameStop without the proper insurance. $375k is worth flying the cards there yourself.
Wether this story turns out to be true or not, the fact that this dude comes out immediately and jumped the gun so fast is very suspect. And to be honest, this is how crazy rumors and false narratives explode at a rapid fire pace, as MANY people may only see his initial posting, or may jnot even care about cards but just be scrolling and see a video with the Title "Gamestop loss $375K etc..." pass by, and that is a headline that sticks in most people's memories regardless of how the story turns out. If it tunrs out this is a scam and the value of $375K is a lie, as he somehow "planned" for the package to be lost, ie., this woud not suprise me one bit cus it sounds like when someone is doing something dishonest, they are immediately documenting everything along the way to cover their tracks and lend credence to the scam. All it would take is knowing where Gamestop puts the packages at while they await pickup Most stores just lay the boxes up against the wall behind the counter. It would not take much for him to drop off his cards, and then when no one is looking, reach around the counter and grab his package back. Anyway, like I said, his story could be 100% true, but a normal person, upon learning of something, seeks first to fully understand what is happening, and does not run out to their car and post videos. Very SUS!
well that answers my question of who's dumber - Blowout Cards or this guy... its clearly this guy. At this point he should be happy with the $11k and NOT GETTING SUED by GameStop.
Just thinking out loud, but if I had cards I valued at anything over $100k that wanted to grade, I’d be on the plane myself and enjoying a hotel stay while PSA did the super express/walkthrough. Hand delivered to me on both sides of the transaction.
Just throwing this out there... since he's fighting with Gamestop corporate to get comp'd for the lost cards, he might just be saying it's $375k, and posting it online for leverage. Also in the video you see that the $11k offered was for "22 cards", so if he submitted more than that, they're either denying the rest or for some reason they're negotiating cards individually instead of a bulk lot, which is just stupid.
People want to use group submitter because they will have someone to blame and expect them to compensate when it is lost in the mail. Regardless how many times you tell them and make them sign a document of no insurance if lost/damage in transit, people will still hold the group submitter responsible and will make a lot of noise until they get paid out. Otherwise, they will mail it themselves for less money.

Here's the thing. Gamestop doesn't fill out a total declared value on your cards. All they do is take pictures of your cards and put in in the system. If your cards are stolen or lost, Gamestop will be responsible, not psa. A fair market value of each card will be given for each card. I did 3 submissions and recorded a video for each submission, writing down the market value of each card. So if anything fishy hsppens, I will get properly compensated or will get a lawyer, show the videos, pics etc, and win a huge settlement. Most ppl aren't as thorough as me. The guy here with his 375k declared value has no proof of anything. One has to ask, why? And how can he be so stupid?
