100% Feel you on the QC, i pulled 2 Skenes : 1 refractor dimples all over the border, THEN Skenes /299 had dimples across the surface. 1 or 2 very fine dimples in obscure spots will pass the smell test at PSA, however some of these are awful.
Man I take the Jones all day. He helped my fantasy team. Pulled a /25 true orange of him out of one of my megas. 3 out of 5 boxes had autos too so I had to order more
I pre-ordered a jumbo and it had an enormous amount of quality control issues on the more common cards. My experience was that all of the "refractor" inserts had those surface bubbles (not just the All-Star cards). Every single one of them. And the base cards were extremely off-center, but the surfaces were fine. Not slightly off-center, but extremely off-center. Way worse than what your megas had there. I found that really odd that a $400 box had such low quality. I guess that's the world we live in now. I had zero complaints to offer though, because the box also had a 1/1 Josh Jung Future Stars superfractor auto, a gold mini-diamond Jasson Dominguez image variation, and a Jordan Beck Radiating Rookie. So, I took the good with the bad on that one. By the way, the X-fractor lines you are seeing are just part of the sheet.
That is an amazing, odds defying experience. You may want to consider playing Powerball and MegaMillions as well as a few $50 scratch tix while the golden horseshoe remains affixed over your head.
I always thought the on card autos in update was their first rookie card and the sticker autos were for players that had their first auto in topps chrome.
Opening any of this product for the last 5 years is a kin to taking money and throwing it in the trash pretty much. That's what I do when I open any of this garbage, it ends up in the trash. Not even worth the space it takes up. LOL - boggles the mind eh?
@@DanWalls-q4f You're not alone. I've thrown 100% of the cards in the trash on some of the boxes I've opened. Pretty much stopped buying any retail releases anymore. Unless I get the urge to throw away an extra $40 down the toilet LOL

My two megas were awesome. I hit a red lava /5 in one and the other box had a true blue auto and an aqua /199
Topps wanna Make Basecards Great Again! 1 base per pack is crazy.

Out of 2 Mega’s I got a Skenes base, Colton Cowser SSP, Caminero Raywave, Ben Brown (pitcher) /25 and others.
I've opened 4 boxes...QC on mine was 3x worse. My black and white parallels are off center 20/80, no lie. You got a decent box on pulls as well.
We opened 3 mega boxes and haven't seen quality control this bad since 2022 Topps Chrome Update.
One of my 35th anniversary card is like that. A lot of little popped bubbles 🫧
A lot of shine because there are literally 100's of worthless parallels
Seems like you need to clean those chrome cards and then send it to PSA

I noticed major issues with my mega box as well. Paul Skenes refractor was cooked. Almost every card had print lines or gnarly scratches.
New owner, same ole’ topps! 😂😂😂 could’ve sworn the Bobby Witt year was crappy too.
I'm sure QC will get better in the next few years when they're printing 3x the stuff.
Sad to see how common the xfractors are now.

Nope
Unannounced speckle refractors
Topps: "those are SSSP 'Moon Surface' Refractors". Wax is a scam in the first place and now filled with PSA 6s.
🤣
😂
Thanks for taking the hit. You are card Jesus. You suffered so others don’t have to. Will not be opening this garbage.

Agree and I thought I was the only one who threw 70% of the cards I open straight to the 🚮
