- I've been using this for about 2 weeks since I recorded this and I'm in love with it. We'll take another look at it in a year and see how it held up but so far it gets two thumbs up.

I've watched your video several times. I go back and forth between my bag on wheels and the 16" open top Tough Built bag. I favor the bag on wheels but i have trouble when loaded lifting the bag into the back of my pick up. Have a good week.😊
From what I've gotten from your videos, you're also a forklift road tech like myself. I have the exact bag and I absolutely love it after 7 months of use.
Yep, I’m a Lifty Boy 😁👍🏻
I’m about to start an apprenticeship for lift truck service, any specialty tool recommendations from either of you guys?
@davidreinacher7653 I've only been a forklift guy for about a year. It really depends of what you'll be working on. All the punches, including brass, a big pipe wrench, amp clamp meter, hydraulic test gauge set. Just to name a few.
@@chadstoudt2580 thanks for the response just trying to compile a good list before I start lol
@@davidreinacher7653why are you laughing out loud?
You can tell someone is a mechanic when a tape measurer clip registers as a place to hang an impact driver. 😂😂 love it!!!
What is this “tape measure” you speak of 😜
@@FunkFPV Measure once, cut thrice!
The metal clip bar and the way the lid can be strapped open seem like a huge convenience improvement.
Absolutely. And the mesh pocket. Really well thought out
Absolutely 👍🏻
@@FunkFPVlet me get your old bag. I got 100$ on it.
The fact not 1 specific measurement was given on difference sizes other that ah just a little , or its pretty much the same is why i subbed.
When i was an electrician, the tough built pouches were absolutely fantastic. The ability to set one up for rough in, one for service/trims, then have a pouch for staples/wire nuts, a drill holster, and a hammer hook. Put the clips on your belt and adapt to the scenario
I haven't found a bag yet that can survive long term. Through multiple flights, different environments, chemicals and hydraulics, nothing seemed to last. Then I decided to use a pelican case and build multiple layers of foam and aluminum where every tool has a tool controlled environment/home. If there is a tool missing it shows the color of red foam. (Black foam is the top layer that holds the tool.) I know exactly what's missing by a first glance. I usually make my cases with 2 to 3 layers depending on the trip I have to make.
I had a pelican fall off a Q400 horizontal stab, and it survived intact. Yay! Plus it's water proof incase I have to go for a swim.
The layers take up space that can be used for tools but you have a very necessary reason for knowing when a tool is missing. Our LAME was always picking up _"new"_ tools from light aircraft that were left in the machine before flying them to NZ.
Impressive it survived a fall from so far up. Says heaps for the durability of the product. 👍
If you ever want to go back to a bag or backpack try veto pro pack
@josephking6515 I don't sleep if I'm missing a tool.
Funny thing: The worst thing I have ever seen left in an engine cowl was a set of rubber chocks and a huge prybar!!! The aircraft went for a flight and came back for a service check.... wow!!! Chocks weighed close to 50 LBS. 😂 What on earth were they prying??!!
I enjoy using toughbuilt tools, and their belt is a real game changer for me. I work facility maintenance at 2 sites and being able to change out the packs from the type of job without lugging around unnecessary tools is great and the change is quick and seamless. Great to see you review this bag. Rock on FPV, and enjoy the new addition to your workday.
I smile every time I use it 😊
@@FunkFPV Are you still talking about the bag? 🤷♂ 😀
I'm a cabinet installer, and I used this exact same bag and loved it for about 6 months before i out grew it and switched to pack out boxes. before you count out tough built pouches and the front bar they can be a game changer, their drill holsters are very nice, the big plus is adding to the amount of storage and reduces the clutter on the inside. also the clip on the left side is for a tape measure.
Good on ya brother! Hard working people deserve hard working equipment 👍
From my time as an electrician, my main reservation about tool bags is the tend to soak up a bit of everywhere they've been.
Given that i used to do work on trawlers , in fish factories , dairy farms , pig farms , a variety of industrial units... you can picture how the stank could build up.
But it's horses for courses , and it depends on what array of tools you carry .
Agreed , I worked in a waste energy plant for 2 days and I had to pressure wash my veto backpack and get a new harness
For sure! I use the tough built bag for retail and office environments. For filthy places like oil-change shops, food service, etc I switch over to my Ridgid boxes.
I started using toughbuilt when I became a lineman. No longer on the pole but I still use my belts and bags when I need to. Good stuff. Takes a beating 💯
I appreciate the fact you left the bit at the start where the light fell in the video, gave me a chuckle.
Haha 😜
Toughbuilt has been killing it. If you haven’t picked up one of their 2 in 1 utility knife/scraper tools yet, it’s like a fidget toy for simple men like myself lol.
I just dont like buying the replacement blades..
Hi there
Looks like you found a bag that works for you.
I like the toughbuilt brand and use the pouches daily and love those.
Their stuff lasts even with daily use.
Looked at this bag myself but decided to go with the Stanley FMST1-80148 rolling bag.
Simply because the layout fits me better as a electrician.
And seeing this video with your honest no nonsense style shows me that for me I made the right choice.
I’m convinced you will enjoy your bag for some time, seems to fit your setup perfectly.
Keep doing what your doing, I really enjoy your style of video.
It’s a far cry from the fake hyped stuff out there in UA-cam land.
Your humor and sarcasm never fail to make me smile.
Greetings from a Dutch sparky
Thanks bud. I really appreciate that ☺️👍🏻
I've been using one of the toughbuilt bags for about 2 years now and it's been great. I don't have the rolling one because I go into people's homes and was worried the wheels would mark up their floors. Hope it serves you well.
plastic wheels usually doesn't leave marks
The Clip at 5:24 above the wheel is not a tool holder it is for your tape measure. Could we see your Funk o POP collection at some point? Just curious which you have. Keep up the great content! Thanks!!
thanks for the tool order and all the kind words! the double dongle has many uses, great for interior work also
I got a Kobalt roller for Christmas one year. The handle broke within two months, half the bags developed seam tears, and the side compartments sucked.
Jd tool is a tool. Got his tire plug kit and it was junk. When I made the comment that it was junk he made a comment about my wife. The guy is a child
I enjoy you and your videos that you make, your funny, and I'm bettin you are a load of fun to work with.
Time is going by too fast I remember watching the video on the old bag, felt like yesterday
I’ve had this bag for about two years and the only issue I had was the wheel bearings picked up some strings and dirt and destroyed them. I replaced them with some sealed bearings from Amazon and that did the trick. Rolls better than new. No other issues at all no rips holes or tares. Been a good investment 😊
Clicked for the MIB reference. What about old hotness
My man! I've been using that toughbuilt bag for 2 years and I could pass it off as new!
I also use this brand of tool storage. its durability is acceptable. the misc pouches work well if you want to mitigate your tool load due to what you are working on. Purchasing multiple pouches is costly but it does let you kit out for what you're doing. I also mount each inside the van for storage when not in use. You may catch some shade on a bigger jobsite for your little kid toolbags but them knuckleheads take 2-3 tries to get their pants on in the morning anyway.
7/10
I can’t believe they have named a tool bag after my Ex wife.
the little metal clip on the side is probably sized for a tape measure📏
always nice when you move into a tool bag that works great for you... I modified a packout and it's amazing now with the mods..
I always thought that when we put a fix it in that it magically got fixed I never thought that there is a real person actually having to drive out with tools and fix the thing. Like when it breaks it’s three days and the elves made it run again. Super neat to see the other half of the machine world
I bought the 3 piece craftsman plastics tote, like those.
Broken in a week, do not buy, cheap plastic.
That bag looks sweet! I love tools and bags that are built to purpose. Seems like this was definitely test driven before it was released by toughbuilt.
Looks like a good upgrade, if I had to carry more tools I would definitely consider that one 👍
I remember back in the old days, you usta end your videos a short different than "there ya go". 😂
#Getfkt
LoL UA-cam doesn’t like naughty words 😂 If I drop an F-Bomb they only show to half the people.
I’ve had mine for about a year and a half. I doubles as a seat if you need it. Never had a problem with the wheels like all other bags. I never bought into the clipping add ons. My handle broke on a trip to Mexico, on site glue and some tape fixed it. Only problem I actively have with it is the screws that attach the handle keep backing out. For the dollar, 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Put some red lock tite on the screws that keep backing out. Should help keep them tight
Wasn't expecting to see a Men in Black 2 quote in my subscription feed today. Nice
😎👍🏻
Yeah, but does it come with a cricket?
The metal clip on the side is for a tape measure
Thank you for all of your hard work after work.
Massive mouth toolbag was my nickname in highschool.
Haha 😛
i have been rocking this bag since they came out. before i was a multiple bag guy. i have been using Tough Built pouches for many years since they came out. small metal clip on side of bag is for tape measure. in my van i have a full set of 20 volt dewalt tools on shelves. in my rolling bag i have all 12 volt tools and my daily use hand tools. if i need to hog on something i grab the bigger tool. i keep my less used tools in the front outside pouches cause i have three tool belts that are my daily drivers, and it makes it harder to get tools out from behind tool bags. you are going to love this bag. If I'm doing any work "Rollie" (rolling tool bag) and my electrical, hvacr, plumbing or electronics bag goes on top. it has been such a great tool. for stairs up no problem down sometimes i have to tip the bag back a little more. if Rollie when missing i would cry and buy another one. i hope you have the same experience that i have had with mine. love the channel. keep up the great work
Oh no!!! 🥺 I so have to go buy this buy now 😖 And I just bought the L Massive Mouth one 6 months ago. 😅
Awesome Video, can't wait to see the follow up. 🥰☺
I've had mine for 1.5 years. Holding up pretty good. Couple pockets in the front have holes from screw drivers. You can also sit on it
Does anyone make a quality backpack style tool box?
Klein makes one that looks pretty good.
Well….There you go.
I've watched your video more than i can count. 80 yr old DIY and Love my bag. The tech clips are a game changer with 5 pouches. Again, thanks for your post. 😁
What makes the tough built worth a million is the tech clips. Didn't use at first, but now I Love em. I have 4 tech clip pouches that holds my impact, screwdrivers, and anything you need. 😊
My wife calls me a tool bag, then she hits me.
Mine too 😢
If you haven't tried a set of knipex pliers wrenches, man, you'll never go adjustable wrench again 😂. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as a professional fitter I vouch for them. They have never slipped once, never marked the surface either.
7:00..VIM TOOLS sells magnetic can holders...could pick up a couple and attach them to the steel strap.. they're strong enough and won't fall off.. the can either..I think they're 40lb magnets...
Got all giddy with 'This one is about 70 bucks......came back to Earth at---more than this one.' Still at $130.00 it's a decent price for good quality.
Been running the tough built for a few years now and love it
If you need more space Thoughbuilt makes a larger rolling tool bag. The XXL 22 inch, ive had mine for over a year and its amazing. Fits a circular saw, grinder, oscillating tool m18 and m12 impact and drill plus a pactool snapper shear and a couple of other attachments for the drills. Thats just the inside of the bag. Oh, and the bag still fits in the trunk of my 2004 sedan. Thoughbuilt bags are awesome.
I do like those ToughBuilt tool pouches and thier quick slot system. I just mounted a bunch of them on a board and separate my daily tools out into job groups. Electric, plumbing, drywall, general, etc. Held up well over the last half decade.
I own the ToughBuilt belt and tool pouches and have to say they work good! I was thinking of getting that tool bag couple years ago but I went with the DeWalt TSTASK instead but I did go to Lowe's and they have the new ToughBuilt Stacktech I think it's called? WOW I think I will get the new ToughtBuilt next 😁
I notice how many UA-camrs have 100’s of thousands of subscribers (695k in this case) but the videos only have an average of 50k. What’s up with that?
If you use the packout system, I'd be curios to see if the crate would hang on the metal bar in front. Awesome way to haul parts and shit...
As a garage door tech I’ve been really liking the tough built pouches. I put the clips on my ladders and clip the pouches to them with my most used tools. Saves me trips up and down ladders and gets my 👍
I'm a geek for these things. The ToughBuilt looks bad ass. Cheers from Eng;land!
So im not gonna lie about it, my table top gaming hobbies made me buy into travel cases. Wound up buying ridgid to match my tools and saved 60% or so not buying game specific products. Plus i wont have to worry if some klutz falls on my storage cases. I just wish the wheels had a stair rail/roller built in.
Steel bar for magnetics, mesh pouch, and keep-open top DEFINITELY worth $70...!
Been using a Milwaukee packout as a tool "bag" at work. Expensive as hell but highly recommend if you got the cash. No more wearing out and can carry parts on top without squishing. Transferring to a corporate job though due to some back issues. So some new coworker gonna get a nice setup.
I am also a forklift field tech, most guys including myself use the Milwaukee packouts, there’s no other way I would go besides the Milwaukee packouts.
Diggin' the Men In Black thing you did there. Thanks for the demo. Ive always loved your vids, but especially now as im going through a tough time and really need the laughs. Kepp it up, my friend. Love ya.
Keep your chin up brotha', if you are into tools and this is your kind of channel hang in there. Time heals all wounds.
Nice tool bag is it waterproof👍🏻.
It probably water resistant.
Saw these in Lowe's. Quality looked good. Made in the Philippines. Picked up that rolling tote. Only complaint is interior tool pockets arent deep enough for some tool's. Could of went all the way down to base.
I HAVE THIS BAG and it has served me well! It is worth its weight in gold, have had it almost a year and has been worth the 90 bucks i dropped on it!
Edit I dropped 90 bucks on it because mine is the XL version, overall dimensions are a good bit bigger than the one demonstrated in this video.
I’ve been using a Milwaukee tool backpack for years. As my job description changes I’ve added more and more tools. I had to put it on a little folding two wheel cart. Now I’ve taken to hanging things off the cart.
I keep coming back to this bag. I’ve heard the bar blocks the front pouches from putting tall items in it. Are you noticing that? I wish it had all the outside pockets on the inside. If I go this route will need to decide if I go L or XL.
My first impressions were…
1. The clip over the wheel is for a tape measure
2. The Velcro on the top is to hold an looped extension cord
3. The paint job on that bar didn’t last long. The first tool to touch it scratched it three times.
But definitely a nice bag.
Good vid thanks. Was looking at veto but can't justify the price. This is very helpful. Also tub o' towels for the win
I recon those tight side pouches are for screwdrivers. Ever put your screwdriver in a pouch all floppy only for it to fall out later when you move your bag? These won't do that.
Also, that metal clip on the one side by the wheel...will it hold a tape measure?
honestly you sold me on this bag, like you said i can get a whole lot done with a well picked set of tools. whenever i have to do road calls i scramble to get my old school sears flip up tool box and my little milwaukee bag and somehow i'm always forgetting something. quick question, where'd you get your combo wrench loops? i got the new mac rbrt wrenches and the pack is pretty handy but i want one for my harbor freight line wrenches. great video, gave me a lot of ideas on how to improve my mobile set up. thanks!
The name sound like something overhead when walking into the breakroom in the middle of a conversation: "...extra large, massive mouth tool. He didn't even leave a tip."
With winter being 5 months up here and much of my work in apartments with no elevators, I use a backpack style bag but my zippers are shot and its time for an upgrade.
I don’t putting the impact outside with a clip is a good idea. It worries me that you might bang it against the wall or the clip might give out.
I know this video is a month old but, if I may suggest, get yourself a set of Knipex wrench pliers, those are life savers even if they are costly. Worth the expense.
14:13 what is this keyring contraption? I could use something like that to hold drivers
Bauer ain't bad for the price. Thanks for the review.
Nothing wrong with that bag at all. For the price it’s great.
I went from that toughbuilt to the world of Milwaukee packouts and I tell you it fella like a car I keep improving for the next showing.
Did you have a look at the Large ones? Have you done any modifications? I’m looking at adding more
Pockets
Been using a piece of crap husky bag that’s got a few holes in it from the two wheel cart I used drag around on. Got a 4 wheel cart to put it on so cockroaches can’t get in since I work in kitchens. Like it a lout better after I cut the “extra storage” pouch out of the center of it.oh well, probably time to get a new one
I gotta say funk im a service technician for a material handling business. And i have found that the Milwaukee packout is the best system to work out of being out in the field. Look into it after your tired of your new tool bag
Hahaha I’m not really sure if I’m broken or not but I even laughed at this one in places. Have a beautiful day brother 👍😂
On another note, you should really add some basic first aid to your kit! Never know when you are going to slip and doom a finger or eye! Best to have some basics on you!
14:11
What is that red Milwaukee thing that you have your hand on?
That’s a little magnetic light. It’s a little expensive but it great for small places.
@@FunkFPV
Oh, Thanks for letting me know that
Yeah milwaukee is expensive but you're getting qualit the product, When I start up my lawn business, I only will use Milwaukee Dewalt and Riged products
With the only exception of antique tools because their cheap, They look really nice and they're high quality. Because old stuff is really high quality.
I made the same switch almost a year ago. That toughbuilt bag has been awesome. The metal bar makes it hard to get some things out of the front pockets but that’s my only complaint with it.
I’ve been using it on forklifts for over a year. It’s still holding up strong even through the wonderful winters up north lol.
How's the retractable handle holding up? That seems to be the biggest complaint.
I love my ToughBuilt setup! I use the tool belt with shoulder straps, then click on the pouches. When I'm done with a pouch, I hang it with extra clips mounted in the vehicle (the clips have screw holes). So far I have a right pouch for framing, a right pouch for electrical, and a left pouch for multiple trade tools like a 7 in 1 screwdriver, basic pliers, body panel pop tool, and a utility knife. I'm looking to expand. Pro tip: I hang my Dewalt batteries (six 5AH batteries) below the pouches. It saves room and the batteries are numbered to keep track of recharge life.
Exactly!!!!
I been looking at their stacking boxes, because clearly i want to pay too much for storage, as well as the pouches.
You really should consider making some audition recordings and forward them to some talent agents of open call for acting. You got the voice and humor for it.
The tight, flat pockets on the side might be for a ruler, could also be for a small square. Should fit there, could be useful for some.
Right tool for the job. Looks like a great bag! Thanks for the informative video!
I love your TikTok videos where you rate peoples stupid inventions. You’re just hilarious in those.
Floppy-doppies lmao I've known a few F.D.'s lol definitely stealing that one
If you ever have a need for a tool pouch, the removable ones they make are great because you can put them on and take them off fast. I would consider that tool bag just for that rail for the tool pouches.
HEY... put those gel packets back in that bag... free rust protection.
I love your videos and this one made me want to get one of those bags myself
I was going to suggest a cliptech pouch for your multimeter, but you have that covered.
Can't believe you've resisted a massive mouth joke!
Haha 😛
