Great video of a landscape much more like the western U.S. than the east.

HI There, just stumbled apon your video's as I'm planning a hiking trip to KS next week. Oct 1st-5th. What time of yr was your video taken? I hope there's water crossings while my pup and I are there. How much light pollution would you say there was in the park at night? Would like to grab some night photgrophy & telescope viewing. Thank You for your videos!

Thanks for the questions! I went the third week in October. The water crossings were easy, I don't know for sure if they will be flowing or not, but probably at least some of them will be. We were the only campers in the park that night, and it was beautiful, so not sure if maybe that's the low season for them or what. If I remember there wasn't much light pollution, (they have 3 campgrounds, so it may depend on which one you end up at). If I remember right, we were at the Rockin K. You do have to camp in a campground unfortunately though. Couple other Kansas places that are great are Elk River Trail (couple days to do this one) and Kansas Badlands (just an hour or so to visit). Not sure if you'll have time, but if you do, I'd recommend both of them. Hope you have a great trip. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
