Foggy's most driving force is loyalty. He spent years being unwaveringly loyal to his absolute best friend in the world and totally honest. It isn't so much about the law and vigilantism. It's about the betrayal of trust, that everything he thought they had was colored by the greatest lie Matt ever told. Matt was his rock, the one guy he could always rely on and trust. He just found out his world was an illusion and the ground he felt secure on has crumbled away. People with a high level of loyalty based on trust do not cope with great betrayal very well. There's no way to talk yourself out of that betrayal.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best episode in a superhero show, hell, in ANY show ever!
You want to keep in mind that season 1 takes place right after the first Avengers film. There are only 5 superheroes and they’re all unmasked. None of them operate on the street level either. Daredevil is the one and only masked vigilante at this point in the mcu.
In defense of Foggy, he did gave up a good paying promising job to start a whole law firm with Matt. He betted his whole life on him and to be met with this betrayal. His best friend committing vigilantism; a thing that represents everything Foggy is against as a lawyer, and Matt simply lying to him from the start. It’s a hard pill to swallow for most people who believed their friendship was full transparency and w/ sacrifices being made because of it.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 except Matt did see black and white. His argument with the Punisher proves it. He was also preaching black and white to Foggy the whole time they've known each other. He just made excuses for his anger issues. That's so hypocritical. It might not be wrong in a grey perspective but it is betrayal at its upmost.
This episode pulls on my heartstrings poor Foggy and poor Matt this episode is so well written and acted and these actors have such great chemistry. Foggy has every right to be angry Matt was his role model Foggy could be a big time lawyer at a prestigious law firm and making great money but he chose to start from ground zero because he trusted Matt and he believed in Matt. But Matt violated that by being a vigilante which goes against all the principles of being a lawyer. Foggy in my mind has every right to be angry but I understand why Matt does the things he does given his past experiences
Such a great reaction! It's so good to watch this with you again... Takes me back... And your reactions are so genuine and heartfelt. Seeing you fall in love with the series and crush on certain characters is super fun. BTW arguably every superhero is a vigilante!
Although he's not a Marvel character, you should react to The Blue Beetle trailer with Xolo Mariduena (Miguel from "Cobra Kai") that dropped this week. It looks great and I haven't seen a comic book movie since Captain America: Civil War. I'm not a DC fan, except the early Batman movies.
This episode is probably peak MCU vigilante origin and peak MCU friendship. Peter and Ned Bucky and Steve are amazing and I love them. But they have nothing on Foggy and Matt. Also daredevils reason for going out dealing with an intensely mature theme even for disney was very risky and it paid off big at the time. I hope they keep kingpins and Matt's origin the same for daredevil born again ! No reason to change it all... other than for Kevin fiege to claim ownership by making his own origin for daredevil which would be unnecessary. Im fine with fiege redoing elektra and the hand but that's it. Changing anything else would be overkill.

Yeah I don’t understand people who can’t sympathise with Foggy and are frustrated with him.
@@xxraptorxx8180 That's because Foggy was seeing everything from a black and white perspective, not a grey one like Matt.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 he is concerned for his friend and his well-being as well as his own

Watching bad guys scheme against each other is always fun to watch 😎
This is how you drama, people! They drama'd TF out of this.
(Yes, I used drama as a verb. I can verbify anything.)

Are you going to connect the other shows to it like Luke cage and Jessica , punisher?
Definitely looking into Jessica Jones l 👀
@@abi_corinne jessica jones is really great definitely a slow burner
Between Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa) and Gal Gadot, I kinda want to move to Israel. Ok, maybe just visit, but still.
