hire her for what? Mattel doesn't really need artists. their dolls aren't supposed to be one of a kind and gorgeous, they don't care about quality as long as they get their cash.

I usually don't really like the lashes you put on them because I feel like they're just way too long for the size of the dolls, but for such a big doll they worked perfectly, love it!

I don't repaint dolls (I have done one and quickly learned that I do not have the right materials/brushes/sealant. The only thing that went well was rerooting lol) but I do make monster high doll clothes and doll furniture. I spend my spare time watching many things, including doll repaints. I absolutely love OoaK dolls and hope to be able to completely customize them someday. Thank you for showing the process. I love seeing it done on a larger scale!

It's interesting to see that the doll had a nice sculpt underneath the ugly factory paint... And you made it even better. I would have been interested in seeing a reroot of a doll so big but I guess reattaching the head would probably be problematic 😂 excellent job!

thank you! I would say that the best way to start is to practice first on paper drawing eyes, and if you can do it on paper, you will be able to do it on dolls as well

The bigger dolls really complement her detailed way of going into the eyes and making them look extraordinarily realistic. I feel as though it's easier to see everything and that it's more comforting to look at and not as squished up as the smaller dolls which come off as more hyper realistic. Which is that almost unsettling type of cool.

I asked my friends and family for any art supplies they no longer use. That's how I got most of my acrylic paints, glitter and a large collection of beads. It really helped cut down on cost.
