I love that you don't waste people's time with 5 minutes of pointless chit chat at the start! Love your videos!
Yup!! That’s the whole reason I started this channel.
Dude, I super-appreciate the straightforward way you drop this information. You're not trying to make a glitzy documentary with a soundtrack and a hot blonde; you're just teaching. That can be refreshing. Thanks.
Thanks my dude! Yeah that’s why I started this channel, I would get so frustrated at those types of videos
Wasn’t planning on making a video? One of the best ones yet! Subscribed and hit that Noti bell my guy!
Thanks for the sub! Im glad this video was helpful!
I know absolutely nothing about building out a van. Yet I'm doing it. Very slowly. This video helped so much!!!
So glad these have been helpful!!
Congrats on your collab with Renogy!
Thanks!!! I’m super excited
I appreciate all the details you go through on each of your video segments
You’re welcome :) thank you!
Jim from Ohio 🇺🇸
Thanks… ✨very helpful✨
Thanks Jim from Ohio!
Thanks. Just starting our build as well and we truly appreciate you adding the links to the parts you used.
Helps paint our picture even better.
Glad it helped :)
Just got a Transit high roof. This is very helpful! Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Super helpful, so glad you filmed it!
Glad it helped :)
Great information Colton. I've enjoyed every video you've produced. Cheers mate.
That’s so nice. Thanks Rob Thomas!
you are a wonderful human for explaining this! thank you so much!
Thanks for your video's. I am building my own conversion and could not do it without your input. Many Thanks
Thanks Darren!! Good luck
Carlton how you doing sire I love all your work. I have a Ford transit that I’ve framed based on your tutorial however I’m afraid I can’t risk doing the electrical wiring is this a service you could provide please ?
This is a great explanation. Thank you!
Thanks you!!
I love your videos, thank you very much!
Thank you!!
Another fantastic guide to vanbuilding. Thank you, Colton. Comment to manipulate the algorithm Al Gore Rhythm?
Hahah thank you B. Al Gore Rythmn 😂
Which do you like to do better- batteries or solar generator? Which one is less complicated?
This is all going to a Goal Zero! I personally think it’s easier
Thanks for the info. Doing a ton of research. Retiring teacher
I have a question. I just mounted four 100w solar panels on the van roof. I have a Jackery 2000 that I am going to be using. Do you connect your panels in series or parallel? I am not sure which will be better for boondocking. And, as always another great video. This is probably the 3rd time I have watched it. I did keep your video on the Maxxair fan instillation on the computer while I put mine on 2 days ago. I just wanted to check and make sure I was doing it right. Thanks again for all the help.
Just got a van-electric needs explanation for us newbies! thx!!
Hey man! Does the GoalZero come with the cable to trickle charge from the 12v cigarette lighter? I didn't see that one in your part list? Thanks for these great videos!
I assuming for the Goal Zero if you had a 12v outlet already installed at the back of the van you could eliminate the need to run the connection to the front cab and just use the one in the back if you didn't cover it up access to it?
That would be correct!
Commenting just to comment to get your video out there to more people.. Though I am unsure how that works
Perfect! UA-cam rewards videos with more interaction. So more comments means it gets out to more people :)
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds what happens if one person comments.. Say 100 times? Does that count as 100 times or does it only count as one as its only one person commenting?
@@Tracor3k99 hahaha I have no idea 😂
Very informative & appreciate that you don’t ramble on in the intro
Thank you for the informative videos!!
Anytime brother!
Algo bump. You rock!!
Thanks for another great video!!
Welcome!
I can not find the 12v max output cable with the different ends on it?? Thanks, Jack
I’ve also had a trouble finding them. I use this now amzn.to/3NFA09m
Thanks again, great stuff.
Thank you Robert !
Thanks!
thank you!
You're welcome!
Helpful video! 💜
Glad I could help!!
Is the electrical box mounted on the roof UV-rated for direct sunlight?
Many plastics will deteriorate rapidly under direct sunlight.
yes
Thanks
Welcome!!
Thx
it would be nice to have a diagram of the whole system on one page.
great call on the renogy products, great quality and easy to set up! You the man!
Yew!! Thanks brother
What made you decide to bump this van up to the Goalzero 3000X vs. the 1500x?
This van is the 1500x. This one I’m currently building has an AC unit so I went to 3000x
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds Which A/C unit are you going with? Thats what im really strugging with on my build currently. Would love your advice.
@@ilovefrogsALOT01 fresair !
🔥🔥🔥 video
Thanks!!!
At 4:11 when you say “ends” does that mean you just leave the two ends of the wire free and not connected to anything else? Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! Yes it’s not connected to anything
I thought the max output cable isnt needed for the x models?
Perhaps edge seal the plywood
Perhaps
Show people how to draw a schematic. It makes things so much easier.
❤❤❤
Awesome
Thanks!
LEGIT
Thanks man!!
I want to do this so bad 😃
I believe in you!
Where is your product link
in the description!
I wish I understood this. I'm just not getting it from watching videos. Gonna have to pay someone to show me how to wire my van.
cooll
Thanks
CAUTION!
Wire nuts should not be used for vehicle connections. Use the correct automotive connectors.
Soooooo sheeeeeeee
Bussin
Doesn't matter what the comment is.
Sure doesn’t !
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds this maybe a bit beyond the topic, but is the 6000x essentially a 500ah unit at 12V? Looking at solar for my van, and these Goal Zero units seemed to have stepped up their game for the inverter/charge/solar/12v circuit capabilities.
You’re making it painful to watch. You are over explaining. I think most people that take on a job like this has some type of practical sense.
You’d be surprised. A majority of my audience first project building something ever is a camper van. So I try to be as thorough as I can for them. Sorry it felt slow for you
Thanks
Welcome!
