    My 2 cents: Born female, molested by dad n brother through childhood. I hated being female. Dressed to cover my hideous body, no make up, no femininity allowed bc that means I’d be raped. I’m 64 now, about 7 yrs ago I finally started wearing make up, female clothes etc. I love being female. Not ashamed or scared anymore.
    My instincts were protecting me all those yrs. But it was never really about me not being female.
    I loved motorcycles, and lots of manly things, but I also loved lace and colors etc. but never showed that side of me. Very very tomboy.
    Anyways my advice is wait b4 you start hormones or altering your body. If I had done this 40 yrs ago, I’d be sorry now. I was just an abused girl trying to survive this world. It would be awful to come around psychologically in my 50’s only to see I had chopped off my boobs and lived as a man my whole life just to be safe from men.
    Love to all💜

      Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your experience with us. Everyone's story is different, and as I said in the video that's what makes life great. Our paths haven't been easy But they do help with awareness. With that, your experience, while valid, is not the same for everyone.

    There are way too many absolutely heartbreaking stories I've listened to of people saying they regret ever transitioning in the first place. And a lot of them are from people who transitioned at a young age... So, I truly hope anyone that feels the need to transition pours a tremendous amount of research and thought into this before they make any drastic changes to their body.
    The last thing you want is to go from being disphoric in the body you were born into, to permanently traumatized from everything that went horribly wrong in your attempts to make yourself feel more like you.

    • @SoftServedGentleman
      @SoftServedGentleman  3 місяці тому +3

      I think there's a common misconception with other people thinking it's easy to be trans. It's an entire process. We are changing our entire lives and it every aspect takes an incredible amount of research. Detransitioning is even MORE difficult but sometimes it's necessary for multiple reasons. Doesn't mean their experiences are invalid and doesn't mean younger trans peoples aren't valid either.

    • @sondrahurd6336
      @sondrahurd6336 3 місяці тому +1

      @SoftServedGentleman No, absolutely, it doesn't mean they aren't valid. But, I do think some people rush into the medical aspect of it way too fast. You gotta be ready, and fully aware of everything that might backfire. Also, definitely research the medical teams. If at any time it feels like they are treating you as a science experiment instead of a human being, then run. It can be hard to accept, but sometimes it's the doctors who tell you 'no' that have your best interests at heart.

    valuable advice. I also had the experience of being pushed back in the closet when I came out as non-binary to family 10 years ago. my advice would be: don't let people gaslight you into believing that your gender dysphoria isn't real or just needs to be ignored. I tried my whole childhood to be a girl and it only made me more uncomfortable with myself. whether or not you decide to physically transition, socially transition, or whatever, those feeling are real and deserve to be treated however you decide to treat them.

    Everyone transitions differently. Basically, isn't it important to tell people that they can also transition without* any biomedical interventions ?
    Do you "have to" take a Rx (T or E), and "have to" get surgery....... to be validly Trans ???
    Are you JUST AS VALIDLY Trans ... if you don't opt for those biomedical interventions ?
    Or are you seen as "less valid, less trans" ???

      @@SoftServedGentleman I don't see a difference of opinion as hate. A lot of people watch a wide variety of channels on a specific topic and get a more rounded perspective of the reality surrounding certain topics and issues. Although transitioning might work for some there are really many, many regrets and then they cannot get her balls or their breasts or their penises back. I have seen this regret across the age spectrum. As young as late twenties till deep into the sixties and seventies. I think the one commentator made a good point when she said do not change your anatomy. Live as the opposite sex, but don't cut stuff off which cannot be put back. You can never ever in your life experience true sexual pleasure if you do that. The doctors cannot make a clitoris or a sexsually functioning penis. Just one more testimony of how great God is and that God is real. Us humans would like to think that we know everything and can do anything and fiddle with God's creation and yet we know nothing and just messes up as far as we go.

      Stop while you can.
      Please, I really mean that - you are probably a coolass "gender nonconforming" weirdo, like I am.
      Whatever you want to do or be, but think you can't because of your sex - just do it! There is no need to destroy your body to "better fit" peoples weird hangups and stereotypes, concerning this made up "gender" thing.
      There is no wrong way to be a boy or a girl.
      It's like with height. Men are taller than women on average. This doesn't mean that a woman who is taller than 85% of men is suddenly a man somehow - or less of a woman, or anything like this. She would just be unusually tall, but still 100% woman. Same thing if she was more masculine than 85% of men. She would just be unusually masculine, but still 100% woman.
      Gender is fake. "Gender Identity" is even faker.
      (I'm not saying people are lying - I'm saying that gender is an idea in peoples heads, like other beliefs and ideas. But it's not something unchanging or intrinsic, like for example being left or right handed is).
      Sex is real. There are exactly two sex and they are biological categories, created by evolution because of how mammal reproduction works - and they CAN'T change. Everyone knows it. Even animals knows it. Some people just pretend otherwise because of ideological reasons.
      If you have body dysphoria related to the fact of your sexed body, that is of cause regrettable and I'm sorry for you. All body dysphoria are very serious and distressing mental conditions. But they should be treated - not affirmed.
      Transitioning is like treating anorexia with liposuction and diet pills.
      Read the Cass review. Actually read it. Read the WPATH files.
      I'd say I'd pray for you, but that always sounds hella condescending and I'm a hardcore Atheist.. But.
      Please.

      What you are doing is the exact opposite of how the fight for freedom concerning "gender" (actually sex) is supposed to go, and have been going since the 60's.
      Just be yourself. Don't damage your body. Fuck stereotypes.
