Thank you for sharing your adventure on the Himalayan. Your experience reflects the reasons why I purchased my 2022 Himalayan 10 months ago -- to explore the mountains and valleys of Central Pennsylvania, especially the dirt and gravel paths that have been a challenge for my Vespa GTS scooter. It looked as if you had some cold times on your ride. Winter approaches here and I'm uncertain how much I'll ride the Himalayan in cold weather. I rode the Vespa yesterday with the thermometer hovering at 21F. The Himalayan doesn't have the winter accessories that the Vespa does, things like heated grips, bar muffs, and the cowling that protects feet and legs. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. You do a great job making videos!
Thanks for the kind words. You will not regret your Himalayan purchase! I did ride in cold weather but with good clothing this was sufficient for me. Temperatures got close to freezing but didn't get below 2 degrees celcius (35F). The days when I encountered rain were cold and I didn't have water proof boots yet so I was soaked and stopped riding for the day and stayed in a cabin for the night. Heated grips are available from Oxford I believe. The air cooled engine will help you keep a bit warm around the legs 😁.
It was around mid May. When going more inland it was still a bit too cold for camping in a tent. Due to the weather my route was more inland than planned. From Kristiansand up to Jotunheimen and back down more inland via Oslo region. Have fun on you himmi!
@@FerdyHoutstra Ypres West flandres Belgium.Maybe i take the Volvo Boat(this is a cargo ship that leaves from Gent zeehaven 3 times a week).They have always spare cabins to take some tourists with their trip .It takes longer to travel but for me i save 400 kms drive.Not sure what i will do but this is also an option for me.
thanks for sharing your adventures with us. I never see a mosko moto reckless system on a himalayan ... is it the big one with 80 liters? is it possible that you can make a short video of the mounting at the himalayan?
Thanks! During my Norway trip I did average 31 km on 1l of fuel. But this was not really off-road. I just finished a 2 day offroad route giving the himi a hard time but still doing 26km on 1 liter.

Correct it is the reckless 80 liters. I'm not at home the coming weeks but I will make a video later.
