Fury out boxed and controlled a 10 year world champion with 18 successful defences. Joshuas fight with wlad was exciting but Joshua could have lost that and looked beat and if he wasn’t the younger more active fighter I think he would have lost. But fury beat wlad more convincingly this is boxing not a knockout competition

Because neither is afraid to lose, they know someone has to. So do the fans.
The problem is with new boxing casual fans because they don't want the big fighters to lose, or else they cancel them. AND for none of them to lose to each other, that means they must not fight each other, right?
They just care about hype and the flavour of the week, big talker, and not about real boxing. Hence the upcrop of UA-cam stars making ppv fights before some fighters who have been fighting for decades.
These casuals are messing things up for REAL FIGHT FANS, because a lot of fighters don't want to fight each other now for fear of their reputations and social media cancel culture, which has turned into real-life cancel culture. In football the teams don't decide who to play, they get told the play schedule for the season, and everyone knows, including the fans, when the games will be and against who and where.
Maybe they need to do something similar in combat sports, especially boxing, where fighters get demoted in the official rankings if they don't comply, and get taken out of the chance for title fights. Then having that directly affect the money they make in fights.
Then I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have to wait for 3 years for fights to get made.🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
