Not sure how close to death I was, but I woke up the night before Easter with serious abdominal pain when I was twelve. My mom thought it was just my normal set of stomach issues, but my dad quickly figured out something was wrong and drove me to the hospital. Threw up twice on the way there. I had appendicitis, and it was caught early enough that it was removed with no issues. It didn't even burst. If we had waited longer I don't know if I would've been so lucky.

Definitely lucky. My cousin’s appendix burst and it was an extremely painful experience. It’s a fixable one ofc, but you’re lucky to not experience that pain. And ofc surgery becomes way more risky when it bursts

About the story with the wallet, I’ve heard that just giving in isn’t always the best since some people will still try to hurt/kill you even if you fully cooperate with their demands. Honestly, when you think about it, these armed people are already threatening you with bodily harm over no fault of your own, why would you trust them to not hurt/kill you after the fact to get rid of some evidence?

I had an exam last august, I told my family I hadn’t been feeling well and they all said “oh, exam stress!” I thought so too, I passed out after I finished my exam and woke up roughly 10 minutes before it was over. We went to the shopping centre to celebrate but I still wasn’t feeling well, I stayed in the car instead of celebrating. That night when we got home I kept throwing up, passing out, falling, having nosebleeds etc. So, my mum dragged me into the bath to lower my temperature, hoping it’d help. When I got out of the bath she had to slap me to keep me awake, I remember telling her “mummy, it hurts so much, I can’t breathe”. She told me to just keep my eyes open, to stay awake. The next morning we went to the hospital, we couldn’t go that night because there were major car accidents that blocked the road. When we went to the hospital they ran over 8 blood tests on me, they pulled my mum out of the room, came back in full gear, nobody was allowed to touch me. They told my mum to prepare for the worst, and to say goodbye now just in case. They told me that I had necrotic tissue in every test they conducted, basically either cancer or I was rotting inside out. They gave me medicine, a bunch of antibiotics because once they ruled out cancer and the rotting, I continued to get worse, turns out I had food poisoning and my body was rejecting the medicine. I secretly stopped taking the medicine behind my mum’s back, I got better quickly. There were 8+ other kids with the same symptoms. A boy I’d briefly made friends with who had the same issue didn’t make it. The entire ward was filled with teens and kids who were crying and screaming in pain because we all were quite literally dying. I went on holiday 3 days after I finally stopped fainting and got sick again, UTI, then turns out all along I’d had this UTI and that’s why my body was so weak when I got food poisoning. So, now that I know how I got food poisoning (the tap water) I have to be extra careful. Nosebleeds still happen a lot but that’s just genetics :p. I really do believe that if my mum hadn’t continued to slap me, I would’ve died that night.
Update: currently in the hospital, they assume I had a stroke today so I've been here for 9 hours 🙃

I wasn't swallowing water or underwater, but I remember that I was struggling at a wave pool after I unintentionally slipped off of my tube. The lifeguard noticed I was struggling, and she helped me out. I still swim, but I steer clear of that wave pool.

I was seconds away from death because of acute appendicitis. It had taken my family over an hour to actually leave to take me to the ER because they wanted to play on their phones before taking me. I was hallucinating from it.

I had a close encounter with death. I forget how old I was, but I was sucking on a jolly rancher and it went down my throat and got stuck. Of course I tried to do the Heimlich maneuver on myself. Luckily by then my stepdad noticed what was going on and did it to me and got the jolly rancher out.

How are you doing my dear sweet friend? How are you feeling? I hope just great!! In the very first story, that is just so messed up because your former friend who almost k*lled you gets let out on bond until his actual trail begins. He free to roam and wonder the streets like nothing ever happened. I just hope and pray that you stay as far away from him as you can. What kind of sense does letting him out on bond make at all, but this is America though. In the second story, the main protagonist is extremely lucky that they got checked out a few days earlier because if they hadn't then the worst would've for surely happened to them. In the third story, the main protagonist is very lucky to still be alive, and RIP to that poor woman though because she didn't deserve go out like that at all. In the fourth story, I am happy that you're still alive. In the fifth story, I am very happy that horror movies actually saved her life. Her husband is a complete disgrace. Exactly why do divorces take so long to go through and get settled. In the sixth story, I can bet that those boys went on to become full fleged psychoess. I love you!! Have a great day!! Stay safe!!

For the thumbnail story/ 2nd story, I hope the student gets punished accordingly…Incidents like that, shouldn’t be swept under the rug just for the simple fact that they didn’t go through with their little plan to off people. Also, I hope OP in the 3rd story is okay, it must’ve been horrifying to experience that…
