VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Sydney and Albert used to live in a van and quickly realized that space and headroom were on their priority list for comfortable living. They sold the van, bought a bus, and returned to the road! Their current rig is a Blue Bird with so much character. A unique garage has standing room and enough space to host outdoor gear and quality tools.
The interior has an L-shaped kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a queen-sized murphy bed, and a nicely organized cabinet storage. The bathroom has a full shower with a skylight that opens to their future roof deck. These two tow a jeep for quick transportation from the parked bus and love the luxury of a larger rig.

What a nice interior! You did a good job of making it practical and pleasant. One suggestion: how about making a flip-up extension so you can sit comfortably at your counter? Happy travels!

I am in LOVE with that kitchen!! So much bigger and spacious than many other bus homes or "skoolies" as they are called.
The adjustable legs on the murphy bed is genius

I really love the kitchen and the bathroom. You do need a hangout space. Like a couch. Maybe reconfiguring bed so that it is a sofa by day. Making a wider spot for dining could easily be made with hinged piece of wood to fold up.
That would work if you had a futon type set up. I have one on my porch. Very comfy bed at night and couch by day.
I really like the unique layout you have in your bus....gives you so much livable space. Very well done, and so smart to know your limits financially and actually stay within your budget...it's very wise living within your means.

what a lovely job this couple have done. I like the aesthetic too. It's great this young couple made the decision early to be nomads. They can work remotely and/or go where the work is. It's also great they didnt go madly over-budget, thrifting items and reducing expectations. It pays to live in your space for a while before perfecting things.
Really love what you did and the layout is? I wouldn't say totally unique, but unique enough that it's one of our favorite homes.

This is one of my favourite bus ever. It has many of the same ideas I was thinking about. The first thing I thought while seeing the kitchen was "that counter needs more overhang", and then it was mentioned. The overhang might be a slight inconvenience when opening the drawers, but the comfort of sitting at the bar more than makes up for it. Love the Murphy bed and the shower at the back. That's an awesome build.

That kitchen is fantastic and a generous size, I like the counter tops, pendant lights, and the big sink. The floating shelves and vanity nice touch. Installing a Murphy bed was a great ideal. The rig is open, it has an easy flow. It seems to be bigger than what it is.
Nice size bathroom, big shower, and you can access your garage from the inside by walking into it. I love the extra touches as well.

Papa San chairs are really comfortable. A 1’ overhang helps with countertop dining.

Later on when funds allow you could add an outside manual extend awning so you can extend your space and sit outside in the shade & maybe BBQ. I would love to have your set up. You've done an incredible job! 👏
Love the Murphy bed and by doing that you bathroom and other living areas can be more spacious

Add some extra wood under what’s their at the counter the extension will give you the extra overhang, you could even put it that it folds down. Also that could be done on the end for exits space.
i like the kitchen towards the front with the bath towards the back
You both did a good job. There's a lot of features that are just really neat. I like your lights in the kitchen and LED lights down the wall in the kitchen. You both have a great thoughts in your designs.

You talked a few timeS about Budget well you have done a great job with what you had and its also good to see that you did not wait around to have the money before you moved from the van to the bus ,Its always hard when setting out and your doing just great ,,

I really love the layout of this build except one thing, no couch or chairs to sit on in the living room area 😱 Maybe they are using the Murphy bed as a couch too? Something they should think about is making one of the platform legs that the Murphy bed sits on when folded out into a long cushioned bench so that when the Murphy bed is folded up the leg becomes a bench or couch type seating. Other than that this build was very clever and beautiful.

I really like your build and the way that you put so many things from Thrift Stores and other places is great. It looks so nice and homey.
Really nice place. Nice lights in kitchen, the bedroom is pretty nice. You can add a couch under the bed. Bed up, couch down. Your shower floor be cute to line the floor with pennies.

Well done! I noticed there's no couch or living room seating, just stools at the bar. Why not install a bench seat under the bed so that when the bed is up the bench can come down for sitting (or slide-out one on opposite side of room)?

This is a very good idea for students because they don't have to spend money on renting an apartment, that's if they don't use it to be going wild with friend's. That what a young man did when his father fixed a van for him to live while in college and he crashed it drinking with friend's, now he regrets it but to late don't have to say anymore. The one thing I've seen is people STORING FOOD, AND PET FOOD BY CLEANING SUPPLIES. THATS A BIG NO. ...The packaging isn't impervious to the Scents, etc , of Cleaning Supplies, especially laundry products!
