Truly gorgeous example. My first Mercedes was a 71 280S. Burgndy paint with bamboo leather. It was a column shift auto. Still one of my favorite Mercedes and I'd love to have another some day. That white steering wheel and shifter really make the interior pop.
You have a lovely car in beautiful condition. I have a 1969 280S that's my daily driver, with a 4-speed transmission, sunroof, air conditioning, manual steering, windows and seats, in DB834 Moss Green Metallic. I love the way it drives and handles. I bought in 1999 with 200,000 miles on it, commuted in it for a couple of years, retired in 2001 and have put just over another 200,000 miles on it. It's been in four accidents, and after one a decade ago, I had it repainted, reupholstered and rechromed. I live in Southern California, so rust isn't much of a problem.
@@vaasuagrawal4062 the price depends entirely on c=the condition of the car. According to the Hagerty website, they can go for anything up to about $25,000 for a show-ready example.
Very tidy 108 you have there. Fabulous cars and values are only now starting to reflect their value as a classic. The parts book is incredible. I have a ‘69 280 SE and also a 2 w111 2 doors (a 3.5 coupe and 220SE cabriolet) and they look great together.
Longer wheel base wasn`t W109.. Both W108 and W109 was in longer wersion. W108 was like elegance trim and W109 Avantgarde, more chrome, better specs inside

another great review Nick well done!!
Thank you for, yet another fantastic video
Nice review and beautiful example. I'd like to know a little more on the aftermarket AC in the boot? Could you ask the owner? Thanks
Nice video Nick, I want one now!
What an incredible looking specimen.❤
I had a car like this. Folks, make sure to replace all the rubber hoses in your old cars.

Those old Mercedes were built like tanks, not like these flimsy American cars.
