This video legit makes me laugh every time I watch it and I don't have high self-esteem so that is saying something. LOVE YOU, WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE TRY???
Easter treats please thank you 🥰🥰🥰

Jen: "I like to be invited into spaces."
Me: Jen's a vampire?
1:08 Kristin looks a princess and Jen has the most beaming smile today. The world is happy for a hot minute.
I was thinking the same thing!
❤️ this comment
I’m a WFM baker & the raspberry pie cookies are FIRE. I buy them in bulk, keep them in my freezer & eat a couple per day. They don’t really sell well at my store, and I don’t understand it at all. Everyone needs to try them ASAP😭 The brown butter cookies are our best seller by far.
Me too! they sell well at my store so I never get them anymore. especially closing shifts.
“I think we’re desperate for acid” - me at a music festival lol
😂😂😂😂
I was just scrolling through really fast to find a comment about the. closing music to like. But I had to stop on this one. Just too good.
My husband is Dutch. You’re supposed to put your stroopwaffel over your coffee cup and steam makes it gooey and delicious. 🤤
that’s interesting! i’ve never tried stroopwaffel or even seen it outside a package i don’t think, but i think it would be great with hot cocoa! i don’t partake in strong coffees so usually i get a cold drink lol
@@cashmoney865 For me it would be too sweet with hot cocoa, but they are amazing with hot tea. Something like a ginger lemon, mmmm 😋
Legit!! The difference in experience between eating a cold, hard stroopwafel and eating a warm, soft, gooey one, is indescribable.
I'm so glad you told us!! My son loves these & we never knew to place over the coffee cup. Thx!!
I wish I would’ve known this sooner!
I mean, they did face the void... The mildly soul-sucking void that is the Amazon empire. But they faced it, one cookshie at a time
Fun fact!! Sometimes sugar isn’t vegan!! I learned that recently from working at a vegan bakery, sometimes they mill sugar with bone meal to make it fine and whiter!!😱😱
Like how powdered sugar has corn starch as an anti caking agent?
Kkristin: “Acid is underrated in cookies”. Also Kristin “why is lime in cookies?!” 🧐
Kristen, your hair and outfit looks SO much like a porcelain doll I had when I was a kid. So fun!
Quote of the Day: “The one thing the British got right is saying you should put Jam on cookies.”
(You’ll love Jim Jams)
As a British person I feel like I should be insulted by the idea that the only thing we've got right as a country is putting jam on biscuits (cookies), but I'm struggling to think of counter arguments so have to reluctantly concede you might have a point.
I would have argued that also got universal healthcare right but given that we then elected a government that wants to sell it off, I also have to concede.
There’s also the Spice Girls
We also don’t have random mass shootings every day
NHS ❤
Trader Joe's is probably saying "Whew, it's not me for a change."
17:34 Kristin really said: “She left the plastic of Barbie Land to embrace the plastic in Los Angeles.”
what a warm hug of a video :)
The Easter cookies aren’t fondant, they’re royal icing, which is basically just sugar and egg white.
16:53 Wait till you find out there’s an Indian ice-cream flavour called Kesar Pista which is saffron and pistachios.
That sounds delicious
I think you were expecting the macaroon to taste like a macron. A macaroon is a chewy coconut cookie, where a macron is the French almond flour cookie. Still valid criticisms, just wanted to share. :)
"Trying to pull the stroop over your eyes" should absolutely become the new phrase 😆
Texture in chocolate chip cookies MATTERS. Super Carlin Brothers did a hilarious episode about cookies a number of years ago.
I forgot about that episode!! So freaking funny!!
yes! I love a GOOD chocolate chip cookie. too many are dry and crumbly and flavourless (looking at you chips ahoy and anyone who enjoys them... jk.. kinda). I make browned butter chocolate chip cookies and they're a textural and flavour DREAM!
Can we get a little commotion for the dress?
It's a romper!!!
It’s SO pretty!!
I am SO HAPPY to hear Kitchen is in the Browned Butter Krispie Treat camp, they truly have ruined all other Krispie treats for me. Petition to incorporate them into a Little Food Fight or something so that Jorn can try them!
As a new subscriber who has been binge watching all of your vids this week, I never clicked faster!!
OMG WELCOME!!!!!
I will be making browned butter rice krispie treats asap, thank you, they sound gooooo good!!
do it do it do it do it :D sprinkle some flake salt on top too if you have it. fantastic.
I've been following you two on UA-cam for the last 12 years
cant tell you how much i RUN after 12 to see your upload. Makes my Friday! xo
Speaking of Oreos have you ever done like tasint every oreos flavor? I'm so fascinated by how many different flavor combos there are
I wish Oreo would make a sampler tray, or at least multi packs! Sometimes I want to try a new Oreo, but don’t want to take the risk on a whole container
I'm so glad you filmed this, so I can live vicariously through someone who can afford to shop at Whole Foods 😅
Kristen's hair looks so ringlet-y. Envious!
Agreed, I would do stupid things for those curls
Did I just hear Kristen say “when a movie is too much like a book” when has that ever happened?
13:20 That's a classic Italian cookie, the Florentine!
I just gotta say that mango macarOOn is nothing like a french macaron cookie. Macaroons are usually passover friendly and definitely more cakey than a cookie and usually make with a coconut base vs a macaron is a sandwich cookie made with almond flour.
Just saying not the same even though the names are sooo similar.
this is one of my biggest baking pet peeves! I understand it's easily confused, but people will still get it wrong after being corrected lol
I’m surprised there weren’t any gluten free cookies in the mix. Jen’s hair looks so good btw! ✨
Sir Champion Guava Lemon Lychee 😂. I don’t usually laugh a lot but the joke was perfectly executed
Awe I love that y’all liked the vegan chocolate chip cookies! Those are mine and my husband’s favorite!
Highly recommend trying all the Whole Foods non-cookie bakery goods. Depending on your location they have some bomb scones, bagels, donuts (and I know they’re not baked but same section of the store) mochi
At the end of the video, it looked like Kitchen and Jorn had a cookie hangover
As someone who had a loaded box of cookies/biscuits that has been whittled down to one and a half packets, this is going to give me some hope.
(3:32) FYI, not all sugar is vegan. Make sure you check that packaging. ✌🏿
Exactly. Some is processed with bone char.
Where I'm from sugar isn't labelled as vegan if it's not processed with bone char BUT I did learn that the major sugar manufacturer in my side of the country has two plants, and one of them uses bone char, while the other doesn't (apparently, so sayeth the internet). The sugar in my city comes from the one that allegedly doesn't use it!
hooo boy I have strong opinions about oatmeal raisin cookies! I LOVE them. Growing up, I'd always hear people complain about them (the internet phenomenon where people were like, "nothing worse than biting into an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and realizing it's actually oatmeal raisin") and I NEVER understood that because I had never, ever encountered an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie in the wild, they were always oatmeal raisin! I've always been of the opinion that if you've been duped by an oatmeal raisin cookie then that's on you lol but for real, they're soft and chewy in a completely different way because raisins add to the moisture content while the oats add the chewiness... just so so good. I'm still a fan of a good chocolate chip cookie though!
Can we please have “I’m Just Okay” merch? Love you both!!
My face lit up when I saw you guys posted a video

As a british person the only biscuit(cookie) that we have jam on that i know if is a jammy dodger.....and they arent that great lol. The jam is sooooooo chewy.
I’ve been waiting for this one !! Hope you both are doing okay ! ❤
I worked in the Bakery for Whole Foods for many years. I can't wait to see what you try!
Woohoo! Good day folks ^^
i dont know, if its just me or im projecting.. but i can really tell how fond kristin is with jen, it shows in her eyes when she was looking at jen... and it was not the first time that i notice it. ❤😊
Jen I used to have super sensitive teeth to sweet and cold. Tried the sensitive toothpaste and it did nothing. My dentist put some sort of treatment on them and they have never been sensitive again. I have no idea what the treatment was but it sure worked!
This video is unhinged in the best way! Laughed out loud so many times.
Kristin looks super cute in her romper and curly hair!
It's been a minute since the last gluten-free taste. I'd love another one
I sincerely love it when y’all talk smack about a food and then freakin’ LOVE IT. 😂
Top tier physical comedy with the hard sugar cookie head bonk - I had to rewind several times 😂
“I like to be invited into spaces” sounds a little too vampiric for my taste 😳
Cookshie sounds like 1920s slang for something very queer.
Cookshe/they
Honestly I heard coochie 😂
I'm a former Whole Foods baker and it is wild to see the variety of new items since then! The cookies that are baked in-store are definitely dependent on the baker though, since a lot of them will over-bake things because you can still package & sell them vs getting dinged on shrinkage because of having to throw out underbaked items that can't be fixed. Plus (spoiler alert) SO many of the bakery items are just shipped frozen to the store, defrosted, and then frosted/filled or just packaged as is. Idk about y'all but I do not consider, for example, a doughnut that was made off-site, frozen, and then just filled from the Bucket of Jelly by a bakery employer that morning to be a "fresh bakery item". Or breads that are par-baked off-site and then just crisped up in-store (which is all but a couple of their breads, at least when I worked there). I think there needs to be more transparency in grocery stores, especially high-end ones, about what is ACTUALLY made fresh in-store vs not.
Your videos are one of my favorite parts about Friday nights ❤
Great video!
Also, both of you have exceptionally good hair in this video especially
I really enjoyed this! I became alleric to nuts as an adult (not peanuts, though. They're a legume) and that means I can't eat anything from 99.99% of bakeries due to the potential for cross contamination. I miss baked goods so much. Watching you eat any baked things is the next best thing. Thanks for being my proxies!
I love the combination of Jen's description of what is wrong, and Kristen saying what caused it.
Brown butter rice Krispy treats are AMAZING! I'm never going back to making them any other way.
16:53 Jen saying this made me instantly think of the pistachio cake my grandmother makes that always gets gobbled up. She hasn't made it since prepandemic which makes me very sad as Im not willing to make it for myself since that means I will end up eating it all! Anyway, thank you both for the video. Im gonna go try not to think about pistachio cake.
Honestly I was excited to see this, I was really overwhelmed by all the cookie options at Whole Foods. I don't think I would've picked the pie cookies myself, so next time I'm at Whole Foods, I definitely will!
Peanut butter cookies were the first type of cookie I learned to bake.
I would love it if yall made a video going into detail why penalty box bad foods are bad. like i love when kristin talks about the science of food
Ha! “These cookies making me sad as hell” has me dying
Kitchen’s hair is so pretty. The curls! 😍😍😍 Jorn has beautiful hair too
Not all sugar is vegan! Some sugar is sifted with bones, so check with your sugar processing plant and supplier.
WHAT?!?! I have been vegan for years and just heard about this, that's super distressing information
@@rinesserinpeta has more info about it on their website. Look up bone char in refined sugar
You guys had a total sweets marathon!
I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life lol
I work in the whole foods bakery and the brown butter chocolate chip cookie is the best cookie i have ever had. I'm sad you had stale one because when they are fresh, its divine!
Continuing to ask for Brie to referee the fight box items 🤣
I agree that tartness can make an amazing cookie. I have a red currant jam thumb print cookie that I make at Christmas that looks unassuming, but people will literally fight over it.
Love Kristen's hair and outfit today.
I've always been curious about what you do with all the food that's left over once you're done filming? Especially ones that are really bad/just okay.
You should do the Whole Foods ice cream flavors. They used to have an incredible coffee and donut flavor that I haven’t seen in ages.
Do yall have Fresh Market on the West Coast? The almond pillow cookies are so delicious. You could try the cookies from their freshly baked section!
CONGRATS on 500k!!!! You guys deserve it and so so so so so so much more!!!
Your friendship is so nice to see.♥️
I can't accept the british ever doing anything right, but I do love jam on cookies. someone tell me that another group invented that lmfao
Fun fact: most processed sugar (at least in the US) is not, in fact, vegan because it is refined with ✨bone char✨.
Jen did so good describing!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those brown butter Krispie treats at first watch and on Amtrak trains are bangin
Try every Whole Foods hot bar, salad bar, soup and pizza!
I feel validated about the brown butter chocolate chip cookies...I very excitedly bought them because ~all the cooking shows~ love using brown butter these days, but they did just taste like average cookies to me. I'll have to keep searching for that actual brown butter dessert experience I guess lol

brown butter rice krispies are SUPERIOR, yes!!!
i always watch your show at night and get crazy hungry🤤🍪🍪🍪
Cookies are my favorite snack/dessert and I completely agree with your reviews and I also love Oreos
Their pastry is amazing do a show on that. Those pretty artisan cakes are at most bakeries but at Whole Foods they taste as good as they look.
the pineapple pie cookies really look like something we have in SEA which are pineapple tarts! its a chinese new year treat
The double chocolate chip cookies are better in the mini form. Sprinkle a bit of Malden salt on top, and they're magical. I'm old AF, and not a fan of sweets usually (unless they are not especially sweet). Those wee guys, with the salt, are awesome
That’s not fondant!! That is royal icing.
Basil lime cookies are a good lime cookie in my opinion. 😊

"Let's start with something I think will be good... Oatmeal raisin cookies. I do not like oatmeal raisin cookies." Girl (nb) 😭
Did my favorites dirty: brown butter chocolate chip and everything but the kitchen sink. Must be a difference in the bakers at the locations cuz in New England it slaps. Interested in trying the jam ones because of your video though 😊
This is the best thing that British have done *chucks a thousand of years of British history*
The secret to eating the brown butter chocolate chip cookies is that before you it one, microwave it for 3-5 seconds!
You two are lovely and funny as ever ❤
“Falling apart… doesn’t mean you are mentally unstable as a cookie just that you are moist” amazing
