*Spoilers ahead* I was reasonably scared to death as a kid when Zero turned back into a Maverick on Xtreme mode. Ten years later, after viewing Destined Battle: X vs. Zero, I finally gained the courage to fight Evil Zero. Turned out, my kid self was right. I was petrified and heartbroken, respectively. This music perfectly epitomizes the true feelings of that moment where best friends entered a mortal fight.
Then you may not like nightmare zero made from zeros DNA after x5 and so I won't spoil it but if you need details he comes back
@@dannygorman3456 That fool was a piece of cake. Stunlock and the very silly noise he makes as you do so makes "Nightmare Zero" a total joke. And yeah, I know Zero comes back ;)

Nightmare Zero actually has a way more advanced AI than X5's, the one in X5 does have an instantkill attack though
@@marx4538 Lemme clarify what I meant. He was way too easy if you used the Z-Saber, as stunlock is some strong cheddar. On an X-Buster only run? Oh brother. I remember he combined tactics from both "Brainwashed" Zero (X2) and Maverick Zero (X5). Welp, there goes any thoughts that a no-powerup run is anything close to sane. One point goes to you, good sir.

oh yeah, the saber stunlock does make him laughable... because if you used it on the highest level version of him, he uses a unique crescent slash attack similar to his Maverick one from X5 and then becomes more aggressive... but due to an oversight in the way boss levels work in the game you can't fight that form without hacking.

This is a great remix. I was randomly listening to music from Smash Bros to see what I could use for my future custom stages. I listened to the intro of this one a couple times, and I kept it on my radar. And then when I fully listened to this song, I started really enjoying it. The song was a bit shorter than I thought, but it's still pretty cool. I'd imagine it WOULD be epic to listen to in a single combat situation.
you bet! The feeling when you are fighting Zero (Or X in that matter) really makes this song hit 1000x harder!

Although this song has been remixed A LOT, so I suppose waiting to do it now when the tide of remixes had finally come to a halt would be the better decision. I wonder how you'd reimagine a theme like Zekrom's battle theme from Poképark 2: Wonders Beyond. It's pretty short, but you're really good at adding your own spin to these types of themes.

Since the Metal Gear Solid bosses already have names that sound like they belong in the X series, I wonder if there's a fitting remix of that theme.
