Now this is snowboarding
It's refreshing to see an event not focused on who can do the biggest, most difficult triple cork. Now I wish they would remove the jumps from the slope style and just make a longer rail section. Guys like mark have 5 tricks on rails, and of course the jumps, and win it. But what about the homies killing the rails but that can't do triple corks on the jumps? They have no chance, which sucks cause the steez of some of rail combos these days...

Well said my friend - Mr Davis’ first switch method in the pipe saved snowboarding & that steez rippled thru time till Marcus, who basically steezed this comp into existence, finally created a legitimate reason for social media to be a thing.
Without Danny, this could have been the Wendy’s SnowSki Floor & Beam Routine instead, and the 6 seconds of bliss at 4:06 and 12 seconds o’ buttery-bliss at 4:56 would never have savaged the multiverse & made me wanna ride le Bird & grab some Chips’ to Cab some cats to flat-ya’ heard?

I like the trick they did when they like would stop mid air and then like teleport to the bottom of the landing

I already missed Kleveland badly in Big Air and Slopestyle but this was even worse cause it’s like his event! Damn I can’t wait to see him back on his board and competing at all three events next year. And probably getting medals in all.
I kinda liked it, it felt like x games made a tribute just for him

I thought this was going to be X games footage of some big air jump where a snowboarder named Wendy came up short and knuckled a big jump, crashing.

A lot of the new events Xgames have come up with over the last few years have been pretty boring, but THIS was fantastic. Leaving it open ended to allow for creativity makes it so fun to watch. Almost reminds me of the beginning years of snowmobile best trick when everything was fresh. I would love to see a ski counterpart to this event, like a Butter/Knuckle Huck or something.
this is so much more enjoyable then an actual comp because their just having fun so there is no stress so their doing way better
Love this style of competition. Since xgames is losing TV spots it's a great opportunity to add more "best trick" competitions to jumps, knuckles, rails, etc.
This was so cool! It was a very laid back approach to competition riding. Keeping it fun and light and just all about having a good time 👌🏻 Way to go boys
This is the best and most satisfying of all the other events. They go soaring off the knuckle.

this is probably the coolest event I've seen at X games. when it's all about looking awesome and having fun in the most extreme way possible that's what it should be about!

First I've heard of an event like this in x games. I love it. There's much more style going on instead of rules and trying to get the perfect score. Which takes snowboarding back to it's roots.
This is the best snowboarding I’ve seen in X games in probably 15 years. Style is back.

Slopestyle but none of the jumps have kickers, just knuckles
You know it's a laid back competition when the winner has a backpack on and he's texting at the start of the run

This is killer! Great event and will just continue to rock as riders feed off creativity of new riders.
what I love about this event is that it reminds me of just cruising the mountain and finding the smallest dumbest thing to just throw an easy 360 off of as smooth and/or easy as possible.
This is what xgames needs. I’ve always thought this event should exist.

So surprised someone didn’t have the idea to dive forward hovering above the knuckle and penguin sliding after seeing Judd just do the laid down one

This is way better than big air or even slopestyle. This is what ull see kids doing on the mountain with their friends. True snowboarding.

Noob Soup as a snowboarder, I have to say that seems fair. Also, I’m by no means a sjw, but chicks should be allowed to join. Since it’s a jam format it would be cool to see the girls bring it too. I especially think the ski girls could hold their own with the dudes.
