- I recently stumbled upon a Mario Maker level that aims to teach you how to fold a paper airplane. As someone that doesn't know how, I figured we should try this level out...

if you could clearly see what the level was trying to convey on how to do it, i'd like to see that as a pole. While i was able to comprehend some of the instructions, it got unclear real quick on what it was trying to convey.

I understand the paper airplane one. First start with clouds. Then get some stone blocks and line them up at the half way point, and border it with red blocks. Then bring black the clouds but add two layers of black semisolid platforms in the middle. Then make half of an X with stone blocks and put that at the end, but on the inside of that make a half of a red H and fill the holes with brick blocks. and then my internet connection got cut off so I couldn't see the rest. Too bad too, because I really wanted to explain the entire level :(

The level is super clear! As long as you realize the back end line is the back of the paper the whole time its telling you how to fold it. He's folding the tiop when he's should be folding the whole thing in half cuz he's forgetting its the whole paper.

9:57 this is some crazy altitude. I didn't realize you can get a full flight jump with Mario after jumping off of Yoshi's full flight jump.
That cape level was really good
With the paper airplane level if you already know how to fold that paper airplane then you can somewhat understand the instructions. But I can see it being confusing to someone who doesn't already know how to fold that paper airplane. The directions definitely take some deciphering in order to understand.

The step you failed on the paper airplane level was actually very clear
It wasn't just you, Dave - the paper airplane instructions were quite crude and unclear. It reminded me of a Simpsons episode, when Marge was trying to solve a Rubik's Cube while Homer, Bart, and Lisa all shouted instructions trying to help. After Marge frustratingly shouts "One at a time!" Bart proceeds to say: "Turn the middle part top-wise. Top-wise!"
25:50 - "I understand economy, I get all that." For some reason that made me think of one of Chris Pratt's countless hilarious moments in Parks & Rec: "We like to dabble. I recently invested in some shirts I got at a garage sale. Left those at Wendy's on the way home, so... (chuckles while shaking his head, then tries to look wise as he lifts his drink and gazes at it) The economy."
Oh, and in the past I've said that Donkeymint is one of my favorite level creators. After watching yet another masterpiece... yeah, he's my number 1 favorite level creator, period. The levels just blow me away.
Cape Slam ‘93 is an ode to the song “Slam” by Onyx, where in the chorus they say “let the boys be boys” 💫 That’s how you know you’re a 90’s kid.
I kind of love how one of DGR_Chat's favorite things now is making Craig Golfman be mean to Dave.

You were supposed to fold the tip of the airplane all the way down to the end of the bottom of the paper. I think the directions were correct.. you’re just.. you did your best 😂

The diagrams were built to scale (11×8.5 paper to 11x8 blocks), so what in the world made you think it wanted you to fold just the tippy tip of the triangle part instead of folding the whole thing over hamburger style, this is why you get stuck on puzzle levels

I can tell this is your first time ever folding paper, let alone an airplane. I have the Origami Master Eye (I made that up, it’s not actually called that). I can tell if it’s someone’s first time folding paper.

The paper airplane was clear as day, that was very embarrassing from Dave no joke
3:11 This does not make any sense!
The instructions are:
1. Fold lengthwise
2. Unfold
3. On one side of the paper, fold the corners to the middle crease
4. Fold the pointed end back along the edge to make a smaller rectangle
5. Repeat step 3 with the folded corners
6. Crease
7. Fold in half lengthwise
8. Fold the wigs in half and out at a 90°angle
9. Now you have an airplane.
