- Nike has redesigned the complete Rival lineup of spikes for 2023. This video will go over the Nike Zoom Rival S for 100m to 400m entry to intermediate sprinters. The Rival line goes all the way down to size 1.0 making it the perfect choice for youth athletes.

I bought a pair of the prior Zoom Rival S spikes for practice as I was tired of wearing out my more expensive spikes. Over time, I really grew to like how comfortable they were. After hitting some pretty fast practice times in them, I decided to race in them. At 39-years old, I hit a 55m PB during this past indoor season and just opened my outdoor season with an 11.01 in the 100m. While the modern technology may have some minor benefit, the Rival S is a more-than-sufficient spike in my book. With that said, I just ordered a pair of MaxFlys out of curiosity. But it's going to be hard to beat the comfort that comes with the Rival.
I currently have the nike s9 zoom rival sprinter. They are awesome! Now I need new ones (after 2 years). I wanted to buy s9 again but they don't sell them!😮
@@cactus12257 S9 is the specific model I have, as well. I really hope this redesigned Rival Sprint model is similar. The shape of the upper does look a little different.
As for those MaxFlys I just bought -- not comfortable enough to race in them yet. My next meet is this weekend, and the $180 spikes will be at home!

Hey , i bought the shoes but when i did twist the pins in the shoe they get damaged and turn grey in some places in the down of the pin where we put the twisting object

Yes they are for 100-400

Rival Multi would be more suited for the 1500m, same spike plate but with some added heel cushioning.
I dont about that hill , it will still be great for the 100m ?
Rival S, "S" = Sprint, they are made for 100m to 400m.
what would be a good cheaper choice for 800m?
The Rival Line would be the cheapest line of spikes from a major brand, the Rival Multi would be a good 800m option

Yes you can run the 400m in the Rival S, that probably the limit, if you were running up to the 800m the Rival Multi would be the choice
I wear a 39(euro) in puma spikes. What i should get on nike? (The man in store told me that pumas are different)
