It’s all in English but Boris without subtitles, please translate
Seamanship and team spirit - I love it. That’s sailing…
To see, once again, how unique and gifted each team member is. The esprit de corps is felt throughout, and there is a certain graciousness the other teams, with all due respect, do not have. Exceptional people, with a deep passion for sailing - watching this is a priviledge.
@@dancampbell8149 In general he talked about being in a state of constant tension, but not missing to be on board. At Geomar they talked about the science pack and the data collected with it(co2 saturation), how valuable this collection is as they sail to the remotest places. They took a walk in Kiel where there will be the fly-by on the way to Denmark, talking about where the fly - by buoy will be located and if there will be a party (yes). Finally they chatted about the time when Boris lived in Kiel.

Team Malizia is so important for the sport of sailing in general it is hard to find the right terms. Every member of the team shows this spirit so hard to find! Good luck to all of you!
"You know, I would love to say that I've won a leg of the Ocean Race as a skipper" One day you'll be able to say just that, Will. No doubt. 👏👏👏
Seeyou in Kiel!
Wieder eine großartige Folge.
Thank you for watching!
Dickes Danke!
The team is a lot of fun! It's great to be able to share this journey with you!
I'm going to be so depressed when this race is over. Antoine - you've gotten REALLY good!
Again a beautiful movie with a lot of emotions. I really love to see the Team doing the job in Newport and the crew with Fly Captain.. My dream Team... Team Malizia
Thank you very much Sylvie!
@ Will: you are tired. Obviously. However: hold on! Go for gold! You are a great, fantastic skipper. @ Rosie: keep smiling. Your smile is EPIC. @fly captain: Thanks so much for taking us flying with you. Curious to know the new guy for the next leg. For sure you are the best team, the most funny one, the one with the perfect mindset. I really have fallen in love with the Malizians. And thanks for the insight of the tech team. Without the on shore team the off shore performance would be impossilbe. Thanks, thanks, thanks for all your insights. Are you still hiring? ;-)
Thanks so much for the amazing message!
This was a great video! And finally Will himself disclosed the mysterious gap, which opened Monday night. I cross my fingers for the next leg and the overall victory. You guys can do it. Go Malizians Go!
Thank you for your support Gustavo!
And they made most of it back. If the leg was 200 miles longer they would have nosed ahead. Next leg!

I was wondering why this team had my heart when my hometown is next to Newport. Now I realized it’s because of Antoine. He captured the spirit and emotions and always kept it fresh while posting consistently. I never would cheer for a team like I do if he hadn’t shared such incredible and visual stories. Working on edits in those conditions are crazy but the videos always made you feel like you were right there onboard or on a drone yourself. Good luck to the team and thank you Antoine. Stay safe everyone.
Thank you for your appreciation.
Carsten: Superb job, just love how you weave the segments together. Each crew member is willing to put their feelings out there, awesome. Impossible to truly know what life feels like under extreme conditions, but we get a glimpse, thanks to the fabulous media work. Many thanks to each and every Malizia Team member, who gives their all to this unique adventure. ❤❤❤
It's great to be able to share this behind the scenes story to you all. Thanks for watching
I cheer for Team Malizia, i want the Malizians to win this. I love the vibe we get from the boat, I love Antoine's work, BUT.... This is a race between 5 boats. And seeing Holcim dismast was ... heartbreaking, the race leader out of this leg and I am crossing my fingers that they'll be back for leg 5. And when Guyot dismasted and you hear the voice... shivers down my spine, tears in my eyes. That team had such a run of bad luck, first the hull issues for leg 4, now dismasted, missing leg6 as well. I hope they'll be back for leg 7.
Go Malizia!
Greetings from Namibia 🇿🇦😎👍
Thanks for watching!!
Guten Abend, good evening aus/from Lüneburg, Germany🙂
I really enjoy your racing style. Push push push but always (as much as possible) with smiles and excellent team spirit. I also must compliment Antoine on his excellent reporting. All the OBRs are excellent professionals but Antoine is in a class by himself. His sharing of even his own drone activities shows he really understands how to report on the boat and all the crew. Well done.
❤
What a hard fought leg and epic duel! Thanks for sharing a bit of how difficult life on board is. Rosie: “How are you?” Antoine: “Life’s slamming!” Great leadership by Will, and such skill and spirit shown by Nico, Chris, Rosie, and Antoine.
Great film, great team! You can win this guys and girls, good luck.
Guten Abend vom Izola Yachthafen
Again, great episode ! I feel like being a friend of yours !
Hahah yes Damien
What I learnt, btw I knew for decades in sailing: Aiolos is not always fair to the competitors! 3.5 or 5 miles away to the other and Malizia got no wind and 11th hour speeds away. Will and Nico did a great job but were finding themselfs in a "Pot Noir". The Team did their very best and took 4 points. The boat is in best shape, big B will be back and so lets go for another round! Send it, Rosie and a huge THANKS to Carsten, very well done! 👍
Dear Rosie, also we spectators were on fire, pressing the thumbs until they got numb … Now wishing you complete success on the subsequent legs, and hoping for the extraordinary videos by Antoine.
Greetings from Berlin
Antoine’s work was superb!
"My dear drone - fly like an Albatros" - I assume it should not landing like an Albatros 🤣
I am repeating myself… but this is again an epic masterpiece… emotional… soulful… beautiful… touching… thank you ❤️
Thank you, Thomas. We appreciate you repeating yourself. 😊
Wonderful summary of leg 4 of this amazing race. You’ve all done so much to succeed. Keep up the good work both onshore and at sea. Thank you all for contributing to the coverage of this amazing team.
It is great to see the energy, coordination, and team work of the shore crew and the people "behind the boat". It adds a lot, and allows us to take a peak behind the curtain, which is a rare treat. As always - an incredible job by every one!
Can't help but smile watching your videos.... you guys are an inspiration to all.... n the next leg we will behind you all the way....Send it!
Excited for the next leg! Thanks for watching this episode, stay tuned for the next one
I watched all the videos and listened to the podcast, so I asked myself if it would be interesting to attend this. I learned that the episode is more than just the clips, although the clips always made my day. Thank you for putting everything together. .........Well done! It's really nice to feel and see the vibe you are transporting and the joy of sailing. On the sports side, it's great to see how the hard work paid off.
The 30 minutes feel like 10. The composition of the content, the great score, this all equals the quality of sailing on Malizia. A+++
Thanks for following and your feedback!
I just love this team, literally everyone of you guys! Never could imagine being on this level of immersion from being in front of my monitior... I so wish you all the best for the upcoming Legs!!! The fact that this small community of "insane" people are friends outside of the competition is just heart warming ;-)
Hi MattO, thanks for being a Malizian.
Whew... That was close...
I was going into Team Malizia update withdrawal!
Another fantastic video. Malizians are wonderful ambassadors for sailing!
Yay! ❤
Einfach schoen dabei sein zu koennen ! 🎉 enjoy every day.
See you in Aarhus, Go MALIZIA go 🚀
Gern geschehen, Nina.
Well sailed, Team Malizia! If it hadn't been for that one dead-zone spot of bad luck, you would've beaten 11th Hour! So, they could celebrate coming into their home port...but the next stretch to Denmark can be YOURS!!!!! 👍🤟🏻
You are such an inspiration! Thank you for all the energy and vibes.
Again! Chapeau and utmost respect to the media guys @teamMalizia! Great style, vibe and rhythm thruout the whole content, keep sending it on this level! Super fun to watch your stuff, cheers!
Hi Frame Fisher, thank you so much for your comment.
What a nice story telling ... i love watching you!
Team Malizia is by far the best team and crew in the race, we believe in you and you will win the race. If there is a prize for team spirit Malizia should get also if there is a prize for the best OBR Antoine should get. Awesome work team 👍👌
What a wonderful team, boat and shore, led by Captain Boris. Even when not on the boat his influence is always present. The camaraderie and great humour has been amazing to see thanks to the team’s Fly Captain. Will, Nico, Rosie Chris and Antoine sailed brilliantly, keeping 11th Hour totally honest. Bring on the next leg. Your loyal fans await with eager anticipation. Go Malizians!! 🫶
Thank you, Colin. We really appreciate to have you on board.
TOP🤙
Thanks!!
🤩🤩🤩I cross my fingers for the next leg and the overall victory. Superb job!!!!!!!!!! And you made the best videos from all the IMOCA races at all the time !!! It is great to see teamwork on the shore and people "behind the boat". It is a rare treat. As always - an incredible job! Thanks to the fabulous media work you are a winner- already in our hearts!
Thanks so much Robin!!!
@@teammalizia 💗💗💗
I ❤ Malizia. Especially ❤❤ Rosie !
Thank you, Peter!
Thanks for this great video! I enjoyed most the honest and open insights on the emotions of the crew and the team!
I really dig this team! I was so pumped to see the sailing crew and the shore team in Newport on arrival! I can't hardly wait for the In-port Race and departure this weekend.
To be shore, that gentleman in Home Depot is rather clueless about the Imperial versus Metric. This kind of chat makes me cringe just a little bit. Americans have seriously embraced the metric system, whether we realize it or not. How many milligrams of Tylenol to take? How many liters of soda to buy? What's the displacement of your engine? 2.0 liters? Perhaps in the construction trade there is still a stronghold on the Imperial system but we clearly aren't "sticking with SAE", as he states.
Good explanation. In Germany there are some leftovers if the imperial system as well.
Hi Michael, thank you so much for your comment. Say hi when you are at the boats again here in Newport. About Home Depot: Our tech team had a great time there. Everybody was so friendly and helpful. And we loved the little chit chat about the Imperial System. 😂
@@teammalizia, I'll be sure to say hello. I'll be cheering Malizia from the shoreline as well.
❤
Much love to you too
Excellent composition again, Carsten, well done! This time I liked especially the score, this was on another level..And my favorite scene is the discussion happening in the hardware store about imperial units: "I am sorry for you guys! 🤣
Again so nice... I like seeing the shore team and sailors reaction. And Antoine is a great OBR!
Thank you, Ineke.
Tolles Video, ganz toller Spirit!
Thank you for coming at the start of leg 5! See you in Aarhus
ending is so funny with the american anchor!!
So good, feeling emotional about the finish and was wonderful to see you in Newport!
Thanks for coming by in Newport, hope to see you for race start on Sunday!
That’s what sailing is all about! Thank you for sharing and: keep on flying!!!
Amazing! The whole time. We will go to the Netherlands to see you before the last leg starts. Thanks a lot! Go ahead and win this race!
Nice😁🇿🇦♥️♥️♥️♥️💝
Exciting, informative, funny, spreading good vibes, lovely personalities with the ability to communicate, taking care of the difficult climate Situation ... The thing I already knew but got confirmed once more was that you can get much easier through difficult situations, giving your very best in a stressful time, if the teamspirit is ok. Wishing you a good recovery, a safe and successful next leg and - hopefully seeing the team in Kiel...
Thank you, guys. Another brilliant video, re-energising us followers. Antoine's words speak for others: "There is no limits. Now I know that I can do anything in my life." Yes, yes - I also learnt "anything practical is achievable in bite-sized chunks" cycling corner to corner round Britain. You lead, inspire and enrol with openness and inclusivity.
What you are doing is Way Beyond. You are like super-humans. It's good to know they exist.
Hi yes I watched you all go through the highs and lows it was epic to say the least thank you all, I love you Guys xx :)🌹❤
Thank you so much, James.
Thank you for this great and lovely impressions🙂
Looking to see you flying by in Kiel
I'll be sailing too. But you'll be definitively too fast to see me waiving at you.
You all make a great job.
Stay safe. ⛵
I just love this team!! They make me smile, laugh and cry, everyone is just amazing!
Absolutely fantastic episode, congrats to all who put it together. I know this is so merger by comparison but this video inspired me to hop onto my paddleboard in less than ideal conditions today. Thanks for the inspiration!
Glad we inspired you to go out on the water, Scott. Have fun.
So good , just all, everybody's and everything is just so solid true and incredible ocean professionals pushing state of the art racing, competition around the world, reflection a global team and combined message, thank you
Thank you for your comment, Marcus.
Awesome effort and video and interested who is stepping up to fill Nicos role it going to be a very important one in next leg
great job, stay safe
Great team, great video. I can't wait to be live in Aarhus!
Really enjoying these!!!
Thank you!
A great video, an even greater team but let’s not forget the other teams that make this race and sadly the mast issues for two of the competing teams.
To finish they are all winners and they all finished as they all made a landfall with the crews all safe.
Enjoy the rest with family and friends and we look forward to following the next leg of this arduous journey around the world.
👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🙏🙏👍👍
Fantastic production! Congratulations to all involved! You have brought all the drama and excitement that sailors feel onboard to our homes around the world!! Now go push it again!
Thank you for your nice comment, John.
Awesome you're my favorite team🤓
Thank you, Richard.
Absolutely fantastic video about this awesome leg! Congratulations Malizians!
Next leg will be ours! /)/)/) Go Malizia /)
Hi Cristian, thank you for your comment. It was great meeting you in Brazil. Happy wings and see you in Genova. (this is Carsten writing)
Greetings fromm cape town best place in the world. Good luck
As long as you have electricity to write this 😂
Thank you KP R, greeting from Newport to Cape Town.
Thank you for sharing this fantastic story of the whole project, I could see the strength of the team that exists behind the crew.
I am very happy to have received you here in Brazil and to have followed this and other stages of the competition with you.
Strength team Malizia!!!!
What a wonderful team, let me know if you need another crew member. I think i’m a bit too old though 😪
Thanks so much Leslie
I decided your all Sky Pilot's, Just look at the footage. At the ice line you proved your design, dew remember that Kid's. Lil'dresden issa smiling these days. When Boris hit the Horn i recognized him, when you're all millionaire's send ash'ent'm a ducky😊
Malizia, please teach 11 hour that a day is 24 hours. And that this is the speed difference of the two ships.
Was? 😅
Die Malizia soll einfach 13 Knoten schneller sein.
OK, but it's not the sailing capitol of the United States. - signed, Annapolis, Maryland 😊
Greeting from the one sailing capital in the US to the other one in Annapolis. It's good to have a couple of sailing capitals, right? 🙃
@@teammalizia It's so good to have two that we race between them every other year! Only 475 miles though - your crew could do it without a nap. Annapolis-Newport starts June 2d - too bad you don't have time to stay around a week for the party to welcome them in!
Great Video guys,.....All the best for the next leg,....but be carefull.....the North Atlantic can be a real dangerous bitch.......as a second remark......Go and Get them!!.....Greetz from NL
