I agree, most of Central Asia is Turkistan. Certainly, Uyghuristan is a part of Turkistan, though I think Kazahstan and Mongolia belong to a more Eastern culture and language group than the rest of Central Asia. Then again, Kazakhs would not be what they are today if the Mongols hadn't killed most of the original Turkic/Iranic people living there. So, in essence, Mongolia is the only Central Asian country that isn't of Turkic origin.

Still a guitar sounds much richer than a dombra. What can one say? The western instruments are indeed better by far.
