The definitive documentary on legendary metal icon Ronnie James Dio comes to movie theatres around the world for a two-day-only film event. Ronnie James Dio's story transcends the standard rock documentary. Beautifully highlighting both his powerful voice and his gentle heart, “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” delves deep into the singer’s incredible rise from ’50s doo-wop crooner to his early rock days in Elf and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, to replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, and finally cementing his rockstar status with his own band, DIO. The first documentary to be authorized by the artist’s estate, the film incorporates never-before-seen footage and personal photos from Dio’s archives as well as offering intimate scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, among them Wendy Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk and Jack Black, as they bring viewers inside the life of one of the most beloved figures in rock.
In addition to the feature-length film, this special event will also include a hand-picked selection of outtakes from the cutting room floor, creating an experience that is exclusive only to fans in attendance.

Saw his interview and was so impressed with his comments that his songs were about Jesus Christ it blew me away, now when I watch the live videos I can see him in his songs telling us to choose Heaven or Hell and even mentioning the morning star God I hope you have him in your arms Piece love you all!

Brilliant story. Legendary cover. The evil of this cover was quite a thrill when I a kid. My uncle was a fundamentalist Christian. He would likely have had a fit if he’d seen it! 🙂

I actually think the cover perfectly illustrates when Jesus says “If anyone should harm one of these little ones, it would be better that a millstone be tied around his neck and he be tossed into the sea.”
Most priests are good men trying to help people, but everyone knows there were evil ones who abused kids. This album cover gives me hope that God has the final say and there is ultimate justice.

There is nothing mysterious about Gene Hunter. He was at one time the bassist in Ratt, or maybe there were still called Mickey Ratt at the time. He also painted the french words on Warren Demartini's Charvel. Ask Stephen Pearcy, Chris Hagar, Warren Demartini, etc. someone could of given these guys Gene's contact info.
Whatever this thing is, if it's real it had better do honor to Ronny's memory.
His wife is beyond it and many others. They will not tarnish a legend

Also im pretty sure vivian had a hand in writing a lot of the dio songs he plays in last in line (along with vinny and dont forget claude & jimmy at one point too)
