this doesn't take into account google smart lock , which u need to log in with the google account that was originally on the phone before u reset it

Sadly, this didn't work with my A51. Even took it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad couldn't do it either. It kept asking for my Gmail account and even after I confirm my Google Account and received a verification code, it just cycled back around and asked me to verify my Google Account all over again. This happened probably 30 times before we gave up. Have to buy a new phone now 😞

For all those who are on OneUI3.0 and Android 11 - you'll need an additional step - when your phone is turned off - you need to connect it with a data cable to a computer and then start the same process.
If you're already locked out of your phone and you can't figure a way to completely shutdown phone - ensure its connected to a "charger" when pressing Volume down + power button. Exactly the point when the phone is turned off, charging will interrupt the auto reboot process when you keep pressing those 2 keys. Then removing the charger will give you a completely turned off phone.
