That statement is Gnosticism. Paul and Peter constantly attacking that mindset that was infiltrated in the 1st century church. So it is not uncommon that Miles would find that teaching in the church as they spread the gospel in the second century.

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthian 15:14 , The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. In james 4:14 it reads.... "For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” Yeshua himself said that you must be born again. John 3: 5 Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Gnostics believe that one must possess secret knowledge to save one's soul. Scott, check out David Barton. His family is one of the largest owners of original American documents other than places like museums, or the Smithsonian institute, or whatever. He used to be a politician. He goes around doing presentations of actual American history which is fabulous! Holding back on the shepherds that feed and guide you is a magnificent way to assure that you'll soon lose everything you have. Shalom David, you say Jones study are right in line with your own studies, would you be willing to share what you are studying? Books? Letters? Prayer books? Etc..? I have also tried to study the subject of Torah obedience (among "gentiles") but mostly what i found is books and letters which are anti Torah and those are very hard to interpret if it is written against the jews (which also have the oral Torah) or if it is written against the Subbotniks (1729-1796) or some of the other (sects plural) which followed the Jewish "traditions" or if it's written against "christian Zionist " which also have been a problem for the "mainstream" christians or if it's written against "regular" "christians" which have come to believe in the Torah. I find it very hard to find sources but i only read English and Norwegian. Can you recommend something?

You guys, not only did they change Sabbath to Sunday, they changed the whole calendar. They did away with the Hebrew Lunar/Solar calendar and put the Hebrew Sabbath on the Roman solar calendar. And the Father's Sabbath cannot be put on a solar calendar.

It was unclear to me who was supposed to being martyred in 50 a.d. The Messianics in Y'rushalayim were still meeting at the Temple, right up until Yaacov was martyred (3 years before the Temple burned). Maybe it was an Italian 'church' thing. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following..."* (Mark 16:15-20). I would like to draw your attention to these words: "the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following". that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus. For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles. As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8). *“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12). *"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8). Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities? In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world. Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12). But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did? The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus. As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22). God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again. The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). "Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1). The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

What is that set of laws that was added after the transgression/sin of the "Golden Calf"? It can't be the 10 commandments "the law", or "the law" circumcision. Both were in place before the golden calf sin. How could there be sin/transgression if there was no law in place at the time? How could the golden calf be a transgression of God's 10 commandments if they weren't in place and "added" after the golden calf? It was the dietary law that was added because of the sins/transgressions caused by the golden calf. Lev. ch.11, was part of the punishment of Ex. 32;35 & 34;7. Before the transgression caused punishment, the food law was; (WMB) Genesis 3:3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. 4 But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat. Context is important. Some will disagree and deny that Gal.3:17 has anything to do with the dietary law. Was eating a topic in the previous chapter? Yes. Gal.2:11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12 For before some people came from Jacob, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jewish believers joined him in his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. 14 But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do? My thanks to Dr. Eran Elhaik of Johns Hopkins University and to his associates. You have performed a valuable service with your DNA research, both to Christianity and to world understanding. Elhaik’s research confirms earlier DNA studies, especially the work of Dr. Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University, who likewise found, in 2001, that the “Jews” came from the Khazars rather than the Israelites. Dr. Oppenheim even found that some of the Palestinians have the chromosomes proving they are “Cohen,” related to the ancient Israelites who worked in the Synagogue and Temple. Therefore, we must-absolutely must-in light of the DNA evidence, ask ourselves: Where, and who are the seed of Abraham? We know that Netanyahu and the people who now inhabit Israel have no claim to the land. They are interlopers, false pretenders. But there is a true and legitimate Chosen People of God. In fact, the scriptures had it right all along. The answer is found in Galatians 3:29. Read it for yourself: “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.” So, if you belong to Jesus our Lord, you are “Abraham’s seed,” regardless of your physical race. You are overcomers, and Revelation 21:7 promises, “He that overcometh shall inherit all things.” This is the great secret that every true Christian knows. God is not a racist. The Great Commission extends to every race and ethnicity. We who love Jesus are His Chosen People, and we have the promise first given to Abraham way back in Genesis. Yes, we are spiritual creatures housed in a physical body. The natural body gives the spiritual being Authority to operate in the natural world. The soul of man comes from God. That statement is Gnosticism. Paul and Peter constantly attacking that mindset that was infiltrated in the 1st century church. So it is not uncommon that Miles would find that teaching in the church as they spread the gospel in the second century.

Scott, check out David Barton. His family is one of the largest owners of original American documents other than places like museums, or the Smithsonian institute, or whatever. He used to be a politician. He goes around doing presentations of actual American history which is fabulous! Holding back on the shepherds that feed and guide you is a magnificent way to assure that you'll soon lose everything you have. It WILL be taken from you, especially if you KNOW that you are not doing your part and/or making excuses. After being laid off 2 times in 3 years and living out of my car for intermittent periods of time, I keep a ledger in Excel these days. And if that means I have to go without beyond basic food and shelter, it is what it is.

Shalom David, you say Jones study are right in line with your own studies, would you be willing to share what you are studying? Books? Letters? Prayer books? Etc..?
I have also tried to study the subject of Torah obedience (among "gentiles") but mostly what i found is books and letters which are anti Torah and those are very hard to interpret if it is written against the jews (which also have the oral Torah) or if it is written against the Subbotniks (1729-1796) or some of the other (sects plural) which followed the Jewish "traditions" or if it's written against "christian Zionist " which also have been a problem for the "mainstream" christians or if it's written against "regular" "christians" which have come to believe in the Torah.
I find it very hard to find sources but i only read English and Norwegian.
Can you recommend something?

You guys, not only did they change Sabbath to Sunday, they changed the whole calendar. They did away with the Hebrew Lunar/Solar calendar and put the Hebrew Sabbath on the Roman solar calendar. And the Father's Sabbath cannot be put on a solar calendar.

He's speaking of Yaacov the brother of Yeshua, commonly called James the Less. Josephus calls him James the Just. He's talking about the James (the Less) who wrote the Epistle of James. It was unclear to me who was supposed to being martyred in 50 a.d. The Messianics in Y'rushalayim were still meeting at the Temple, right up until Yaacov was martyred (3 years before the Temple burned). Maybe it was an Italian 'church' thing. Or, did they turn into a 'church' for martyrs closer to 70 a.d.?

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.

This was the Church of Christ in the first century, but for 2000 years we no longer see such a Church of Christ, there are no Apostles, no prophets, no one has miraculous powers and gifts of healing. But we see gatherings of people headed only by teachers speaking in the name of Christ, but not having the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said: *"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.*
*So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following..."* (Mark 16:15-20).
I would like to draw your attention to these words: "the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following".
that is, miracles reinforce the word of God and they are important for the preaching of the teachings of Jesus.
For 2000 years, including our time, we have not seen any believers who have accompanied or are accompanying these signs. But in the books of the New Testament we read that in the first century, believers performed many miracles.
As written: *“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”* (Acts 6:8).
*“Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them”* (Acts 15:12).
*"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city"* (Acts 8:5-8).
Where are Stephanes, Barnabas, Pauls in our time? Where is Philip, who brings great joy to the cities?
In which church do the blind gain sight? Where are the lame and bedridden jumping for the joy of being healed? Where are demons cast out? Where are the dead raised? Where are the Prophets? Where do they lay hands on the sick and get rid of sickness? Such miracles are not performed in any church, anywhere in the world.
Jesus said: *“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”* (John 14:12).
But where are these believers now doing the works of Jesus and even more than Jesus himself did?
The Church of Christ was destroyed in the first century and for 2000 years false churches appear that claim to be the Church of Christ but do not have the testimony of God, that is, miracles. It was by miracles that God testified about the Church of Christ, just as he testified about Jesus.
As written: *“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”* (Acts 2:22).
God testified about Jesus, and then about the Church of Christ by miracles. But the Church of Christ was destroyed in the same way as Christ was killed in due time, and therefore the signs and wonders that accompanied the Church ceased, and now She has been buried for 2000 years, but will rise in the last days as Jesus rose again.
The prophecy of the death and resurrection of the Church is present in the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
"Revelation" also prophesies about the emergence of the Church: *“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”* (Revelation 12:1).
The emergence of the Church will just be a great sign of the imminent Coming of Christ.

Who is the author of death?
The Catholic Church killed thousands of early Christians who had scriptures in their own language, killed anyone who translated the scriptures into the language that the common people spoke. Burned many to death for translating scripture. Ever heard of the Fox's Book of Martyrs

To follow Yeshua (YAHUSHA), it will require to deny ourselves (which includes leaving denominations or church Traditions that are found to be pagan in Origin and against Torah), take up their Tent, and follow Him. By not keeping in context which "law", one might assume the "law" of 10 commandments, they are done away with.

What is that set of laws that was added after the transgression/sin of the "Golden Calf"? It can't be the 10 commandments "the law", or "the law" circumcision. Both were in place before the golden calf sin.
How could there be sin/transgression if there was no law in place at the time? How could the golden calf be a transgression of God's 10 commandments if they weren't in place and "added" after the golden calf?
It was the dietary law that was added because of the sins/transgressions caused by the golden calf. Lev. ch.11, was part of the punishment of Ex. 32;35 & 34;7. Before the transgression caused punishment, the food law was;

Context is important. Some will disagree and deny that Gal.3:17 has anything to do with the dietary law. Was eating a topic in the previous chapter? Yes.

Who should possess the land of Israel? Christian evangelicals say it should be the descendants of Abraham. They point to the Old Testament and claim that God gave this land forever to the descendants of Abraham and that God demands they and they alone own the land.
To the Christian evangelical, this means the Jews. Yes, it is the Jews who own this land, and it is their land forever.
Itil, capital of Khazaria

The “Jews” Are Not Jews But Are Khazarians
Dr. Eran Elhaik, geneticist researcher at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, found that today’s “Jews” originated from Khazaria and not Israel. They are not the seed of Abraham.
The newest DNA science finding is from Dr. Eran Elhaik (“a Jew”) and associates at the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In research accepted December 5, 2012 and published by the Oxford University Press on behalf of the Society of Molecular Biology and Evolution, it was found that the “Khazarian Hypothesis” is scientifically correct.
What exactly is the “Khazarian Hypothesis?” Simply stated, it holds that the Jewry genome is a mosaic of ancestries which rise primarily out of the Khazars.
Jews are Khazars, not Israelites.
The “Jews” of America, Europe, and Israel are descendants not of Father Abraham but of King Bulan and the people of ancient Khazaria. Khazaria was an amalgam of Turkic clans who once lived in the Caucasus (Southern Russia) in the early centuries CE. These Turkic peoples were pagans who converted to Judaism in the eighth century. As converts, they called themselves “Jews,” but none of their blood comes from Israel.
Geneticists report that less than 2% of “Jews” living in Israel are actually Israelites.
Later, the “Jews” (Khazars) emigrated, settling in Russia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and elsewhere in Europe. As “Jews,” the Khazars then left the European nations in 1948 and settled the fledgling, new nation of Israel.
The people of Israel are not the seed, nor the ancestors, of Abraham. They call themselves “Jews,” but in fact, DNA science shows them to be Khazars. They say they are “Jew,” but they are not.
“There are no blood or family connections among the Jews,” said Dr. Elhaik in an interview with Haaretz, Israel’s daily newspaper. “The various groups of Jews in the world today do not share a common genetic origin. Their genome is largely Khazar.”
The Khazarians, never in Israel, converted to Talmudic Judaism in the 8th Century.
God Did Not Give the Land to the Khazarians
Thus, when Prime Minister Netanyahu says, “God gave this land to our Israelite forefathers,” he is absolutely wrong. There are no Israelite forefathers of today’s “Jews.” When today’s “Jews” say they should possess the land because they are Israelites and are the seed of Abraham, they are mistaken.
The “Jews” are in Israel for one reason and one reason only: Because the United States, in 1948, recognized the nation of “Israel” and has since funded and protected it. God’s Word has nothing to do with it.
God’s Word, the Holy Bible, prophesied that in the last days imposters would erroneously and falsely claim to be “Jews.” These imposters would, the Bible told us, persecute their enemies and especially the Christians. But God would have his revenge:
“Behold, I will make them of the Synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; Behold I will make them to come and worship at thy feet and know that I have loved thee.” (Revelation 3:9)
Do the “Jews” (Khazars) not do exactly as our God prophesied? Do they not persecute the Palestinians and defile the land, claiming they are its original inhabitants? This, even though their proven ancestors, the Khazars, never set foot in the Middle East and are not the seed of Abraham?

Elhaik’s research confirms earlier DNA studies, especially the work of Dr. Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University, who likewise found, in 2001, that the “Jews” came from the Khazars rather than the Israelites. Dr. Oppenheim even found that some of the Palestinians have the chromosomes proving they are “Cohen,” related to the ancient Israelites who worked in the Synagogue and Temple.
Where, and Who, Are the Seed of Abraham?
I ask my evangelical Christian friends: What will you do now? Will you heed what God said, in Revelation 2 and 3, about “them which say they are Jews and are not?” Will you accept modern DNA science as legitimate and valuable in proving the truth of God’s Word?
Or will you, dear Christian friend, walk right on by, dismissing what both God and science have informed you?
God said that the seed of Abraham would inherit the land. Therefore, we must-absolutely must-in light of the DNA evidence, ask ourselves: Where, and who are the seed of Abraham?
We know that Netanyahu and the people who now inhabit Israel have no claim to the land. They are interlopers, false pretenders. But there is a true and legitimate Chosen People of God. In fact, the scriptures had it right all along. The answer is found in Galatians 3:29. Read it for yourself:
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.”
So, if you belong to Jesus our Lord, you are “Abraham’s seed,” regardless of your physical race. You are overcomers, and Revelation 21:7 promises, “He that overcometh shall inherit all things.” This is the great secret that every true Christian knows.
God is not a racist. The Great Commission extends to every race and ethnicity. We who love Jesus are His Chosen People, and we have the promise first given to Abraham way back in Genesis.
Know this, and you will forever be greatly blessed. And that, dear friends is the promise given Abraham and his seed.
