    Dinked around Wind River Southern portion for the first time ever.
    So reminiscent of the mighty Sierras, just an awesome landscape.

      @@SeekingLost You got that right(and you haven't even tried the fishing)! A good reference for off trail routes is Nancy Pallister's Beyond Trails in The Wind River Mountains.

    Kick ass fun!!! You both flow over the terrain like water. Excellent videography! Thanks for all the hard work and your spirit of adventure. I can’t wait to get back on the trail ❤️

    The scenery is incredible! You both are very experienced and talented hikers. The average person just can't do this! You also have to have fearless confidence in your abilities, backed up by respect and restraint for the environment.

    We did the same hike a few years ago from Ross to Upper Ross before heading to Bomber and Golden Lakes. The route around Upper Ross to the inlet is brutal. Its been fun to relive it watching the two of you! I think we took the exact same path. Great video as usual!

      That's cool you did the same route, and can relate. Some fun route finding around Ross Lakes, and some outstanding scenery!

    ""thought you liked trees." - I think that stretch of upper ross and mile long lake is where I changed my thoughts on them. lol

      Oh, they were not bad here, compared to the route between Faler Lake and Clear Lake, then downstream from Clear Lake a few miles. You'll see. That shit was nuts!

      @@SeekingLost Good to know. I had a friend go through there and did call it his worst day of the trip. He did say it was better than he though going in, but he found a good amount of game trails and visibility wasn't bad since the growth was young when he went through there. That guy always kills me on our trips though, so it will be interesting to see from your videos. lol

    Ive watched alot of hiking videos and gotta say this and your ODT hike are my favorites. To me this is so remote that not many if any will be out there. I dont mind people per say but on trails like the AT or PCT there is numerous places the average person can just walk out and many places are just trashed from them.

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  Рік тому

      Thanks, I really appreciate that! The ODT wasn't necessarily my favorite long hike, but it was my favorite video series to date. Outside of a few places in the Winds, solitude is usually pretty easy to find. It's easily my favorite hiking destination, anywhere

    Fantastic hike and area. Well done!! Inspiring! Parts of this looked dangerous especially climbing up that dead tree/log when she was hanging onto that tree. Glad you both made it out okay. Looks like this range didn't get crazy high amounts of snow or was this a previous year? When was this filmed exactly? Maybe 2021 because you said 2018 was three years ago? Was this July? Cheers!

    • @SeekingLost
      @SeekingLost  Рік тому +1

      This was 2021. I'm a little backed up on content :) I think 2021 was an average to low snow year. These routes in the winds, They are often challenging but always seems like there's a way through, sometimes near the limits of what we want to do

    Katie is such a good sport.
    Did you do any fishing? As you know, those waterfalls feeding the lake are easy fishing.

      Nope, no fishing gear on this trip. I need to do a dedicated fishing trip in the wind, someday!

    • @SeekingLost

      Hard to say. But it is nice hiking with someone, I do less shots where I walk by the camera, because I can simply film my hiking partner!
