It has changed a lot over the past decade. I would say it is the best mall in Northern California, probably all of California. Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it 😀
@@ExplorationToGo The Great Mall in Milpitas is really nice too. I’m from Miami, but I visited last month. I enjoyed both VF and Great Mall. I hope to be back in the Bay Area soon 😃
Thank you for this! I'm a video game developer, and I've been looking for references to design the mall level for my horror game. I live in the Midwest and am not able to visit the mall in person, so this is perfect reference material and just what I was looking for!
You're very welcome. And thank you for watching, glad you find my video useful even as a reference. Please subscibe to my channel as I have over 600 videos covering places like this around the world and counting 😀

This used to be a very busy mall. Santana Row literally took all of their business away. I was just there the other day and the damn thing was dead. I loved Valley Fair but I think it's gonna close soon due to Santana Row. What a waste of money for this mall having another major outdoor mall take it away. I miss working there, but I seriously think Santana Row is going to put them out of business soon. I still think this is the best mall in California, but how are they going to compete with something like Santana Row right across the street? Great video though. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment. Interesting that you say that. Personally, I don't think Valley Fair will lose business because it is the center of Silicon Valley with a large population and area coverage. The next decent mall is Hillsdale, and that is 30 miles away.
@jinbits lol, very true. To be honest, I try and preder to go to these places when it is the least busiest, filming purposes. It is hard to film when there is so many people around.
Nice walkthrough I use to work and would shop here years ago I moved out of California as it’s become way to expensive to live there anymore a lot happier in another state I am living in now and I am surprised or not surprised that some people were wearing masks still lol some people seem to not let go of there fears also shocking that the store Macys is still there hanging in as a business wanted to add when I use to work at this mall in 2015 it was teavana one of the worst jobs ever terrible experience the boss at the time was so rude not polite when greeting someone to come in the boss at the time didn't like that glad I was laid off at the time that job wasn't for me.
Thank you for the Valley Fair video! I've been to this mall hundreds of times from 1989 to 2014. It's so different now.

Different like in charging for parking after two hours.
It was amazing
Thank you 😀

@@ExplorationToGo That's very impressive. I will!
I loved coming here just to stroll around before the pandemic hit. It had a very Vegas-like vibe.
Yeah true. The Eataly does remind me of the Eataly in Vegas though. Thanks for the comment 🙂
I was an employee at banana republic in 1998-2000. San Jose is my hometown where I was born and raised. I love SJ.
Nice!! Thanks for the comment, appreciate it!
Miss San Jose like crazy. 😢 my heart was left there when I moved.

Can you do Westfield UTC please?
@@Lifts_QWERTY absolutely! San Diego is on our schedule, so stay tuned! 😀
@@ExplorationToGo Thanks, love your channel. Love all the tours around America, particularly SAN Diego! My channel is just recording elevators
I miss SJ. A mall for millionaires.
@aaronrobertson8392 lol, yeah, it is the best mall in the Bay Area in my opinion.
Looks marvelous but is the ghost 👻 Mall.😢
Yeah, there were less people than usual during that day of filming. Usually it gets pretty busy in that mall, especially during the holidays.

nah man tbh you probably just went on a wack day because valleyfair is always packed around the weekends-especially with mall rat teens like me LMAO

Valley Fair makes a lot of money. They are not closing down.
@jackheris687 Yes they are. In 2026.

@@ExplorationToGo definitely did change over the years
It’s not much fears. Some ppl like staying out of the public eye.
There are a lot of viruses floating around. I don't want someone's virus.
