I do like the downtown area, very clean and walkable, but it does seem empty at times except for the San Pedro Square area. Hopefully the city will expand the vibrance of San Pedro Square throughout downtown.
@@ExplorationToGo Vibrant areas: San Pedro, Post street, SoFA and city hall area. 1st street corridor is jam packed on weekend nights. As far as the rest of downtown: until people get off their pajamas and head to work, it will feel dead; however, you notice, downtown has the whole package: office, hotel and residential towers with lots of public buildings. It's not like they need to build or add much to make it feel vibrant. The economy and people needing to head back to work would do wonders for downtown.

Nice walkthrough yikes San Jose has become a ghost city I remember few years ago it use to be bustling with people at the time I am glad I moved out of that city as it became to expensive for me moved to another state a lot happier that I did I am shocked there is no homeless people hanging out I remember there use to be loaded with them along the streets.
Lol, I believe it is because the video was taken after the pandemic essentially ended. I will take another video of this area again very soon, stay tuned.
Great and world class downtown core. The skyline is very nice and pretty. There's a lot to do downtown.

Please explain why are all shops, restaurants etc closed? Is it too early or too late?
The video was taken during a weekday, late afternoon.
@@ExplorationToGo I would think the businesses would want to stay open during the late afternoon’s
because the city and state are both dying

It's a ghost town
Lol, yeah, not much people that day. Everybody seem to flock towards San Pedro Square Market. Maybe it gets more crowded during the weekends.

Yes, people say it gets busier during the weekends. Most of the vibrance are at San Pedro Square Market and Santana Row. Thanks for the comment 😀
@@ExplorationToGo true that’s where most people would be 🤠
bet now you cant see the sidewalks anymore due to all the homeless tents
Ohh, that's unfortunate. Yeah it seems that all the big cities in California are becoming tent haven, very sad 😔
Place is deserted.
