Well don't you think it's hypocritcal for Tectone to currently rank WuWa an 8.2/10 game? Trash Genshin if you want, but don't downplay the disaster that was WuWa's launch.
He's also made several dubious statements like Genshin having worse music than WuWa, ranking parts 5/6 of WuWa's story an 8/10, and was complaining about the looks of characters in Genshin's Ufotable animation.

Pom-Pom is mathematically a better character than Paimon, and it's not even an opinion situation. The reason is Pom-Pom says whatever, and then stays on the train and doesn't bother you. Paimon follows you everywhere, and reverberates everything said around you like a tuning fork jammed into a brain tumor.
I can’t stand Paimon as a character, nor do I trust her. Bravely Default got me suspicious of what she is. That being said, If the Traveler was an actual character and spoke for themselves, Id be less annoyed probably.

True. Mainly is the translator for the Traveler character though. I liked her voice towards the beginning I hope it gets back to that voice but yeah. Though I do like the moments where we get to tease her like she's our younger sibling

Even Asmon quite liked WuWa (despite Gacha not being his thing) because the combat is just that GODDAMN Amazing.
Yeah I LOVE the combat and the designs a lot. It's like a 9/10+ for me and I'm super addicted because of that, the exploration is great too. The story was like a 6/10 for me personally very forgettable which made me surprised because I heard that they remade the whole plotline, makes me wonder how it was beforehand.
@@DianaSinny from what I heard the gist of the old plot was: everyone were sus of you, some would even be hostile. So rover had to gain everyone's trust slowly to get to the point that they are on right now.

I read the Main Quest, was pretty bad. But the dialogues in the end game dungeons and the small quests? I just skipped that thing, was incredible. Its a hell of a option

Man I vividly remember being one of the people who had the 5 minute crash bug in Genshin. Every 5 minutes, and if you are lucky 10, the game would close out. It took them a patch and some change to fix that, and it wasn’t even fully fixed mind you. With WuWa, I had one issue where it would black screen on me, then the next day fixed. That is do darn refreshing I tell you. I still can't believe I put myself through 40+ days of consistent crashing to play genshin.

back before Granblue Relink released, I was worried that combat might not be as exciting as well because it didn't have elemental reactions like Genshin, Elemental reaction was such a big thing in fantasy combat for me since it's not something that I see often utilized to such an extent as it did in Genshin, so it made a big impact for me and i imagine many players as well, but it turned out I was wrong, the combat in relink is fking fun and in-depth! it didn't need elemental reactions to surpass Genshin combat in my opinion. so i imagine the people bashing WuWa combat over Genshin are just people who have never experienced Wuwa's combat and still have a very strong affection for Elemental reactions, thinking you need that for a game's combat to be good.

Every game will have bugs. You cannot test a software in every possible combination of hardware, drivers other existing programs, operating systems etc. As long as they are not game "breaking" they will get fixed especially for live service games where updates come regularly. I haven't any problems with Wuwa aside from 1-2 second lags every 4-5 hour but had crashes in genshin where I had to change monitor refresh rate to fix it for some reason.

Kaveh deleting domains in co-op map, HuTao being able to break the game and do negative dmg that insta killed everything, jumping up to Celestia when stuck in a corner, black screen and unloaded assets, etc. WW its way more bugger than Genshin, but Genshin had way more serious bug than Yae targetting system. In general Genshin its ok but some times, abominations appears
people literally do not remember the time that accounts were being stolen by UID in genshin impact. People used to get scared to go another players world cuz they used to be able to steal your account just with this xD. Genshin content creators was hiding their uid to keep their account safe.
It took 1-2 months to fix this for them. Just search it on youtube and see how many player (even the biggest content creators) struggled with this issue. People who are acting like genshin is flawless are ridiculous.
I remember that crap and it made me never do co-op aside from with my irl friend when she needed help. Never heard of anything like that before or since in any game.

Why can't my fucking character speak ? He clearly has a voice ! But Paimon is there telling everything FOR YOU and explaining everything for you. It adds a lot of useless lines. I found myself taking a long time to finish quests because i was so bored. World building and characters are great but what the fuck in this pacing ? The stiffness too of their animation too, reused all the time.
From an objective perspective, I am not keen on Tectone, however, WW vs GI, his points are valid. I started playing GI to game with my kid, and I am out of content in GI while there isn't much end game and all the said issues Tectone has mentioned has left me with nothing to do...WW has issues but holy smokes...the love I feel as a player in just a few days...
Sunk Cost fallacy sucks because when you spend all your money on a gacha that barely respects your time as a player and then get to watch as it is absolutely blown out of the water by a game the devs actually care about you get pretty angry
played WuWa rn and forgot to log in genshin after WuWa's release, heres why WuWa really proved "genshin could never!" theory :
-the story isnt immediately go full ham like genshin, but the story become more interesting and dark especially after chapt3
-the musics arent as good as genshin yet it still fits the environment
-truly feels like "skill issue" if you lose, 4 or 5 stars are viable as long as you know how to use the character
-devs already giving us more rewards than genshin gave to us worth of 4 years after release, kuro listened to our inputs after CBT
-NPCs feels alive they running around patrolling, wounded, eating etc, even mobs are fighting each other makes the world feel fresh
-characters has more animation and expression in game dialogue rathen than 3 movements only and flat expression
-SKIP DIALOGUE BUTTON!
-better artifact system, literally can farm mobs until you find the piece you want without the resin, resin only used for weapon/artifact/character level up materials
-bosses has grab animations etc, the battle goes so hard its like playing hack and slash like DMC or MGR instead of repetitive fights genshin always have. it has combos, more buttons, slow mo evasion, and PARRY, and then theres genshin with generic bennett, xingqiu, kazuha and the new DPS *yawn
-better traversal, even mob's skills lets you ride a ghost rider bike but not in a goofy way
-the biomes has variety on each region, unlike ToF
-"domains" has variety of events in it instead of ooga booga smash mobs, its so good and refreshing
you can truly feel the love for the game by kuro, sorry genshit team, i'll gladly stuck in WuWa for months until columbina/capitano released, the game still has its issues like stuttering, rendering problem, connection issue (rarely), loading take too much time, but im still willing to play and support the devs

i know that genshin did mess up at the start because i had a whole week were the game was black but my character and some of the ground surrounding me and my characters around launch. these people just straight haters ive seen post on even tiktok about people litterly saying they hate wuwa because they love genshin its crazy that people are like that.
That gives a hopeful thing for wuwa. I noticed the game now has slightly less stutters than when I played yesterday .
I mentioned my Genshin launch issues in another creators comment section and I ended up getting brigaded by people who weren't having it. Some people are just nuts lol.

My Wuwa experience is about a 4/10. The low score is mainly because of spontaneous lags that cause combat to be less fun sometimes than playing candy crush.
I play on mobile, and ive been playing everyday since launch Union29 now. I thought the lags would lessen after playing and exploring more to cache the shaders, hot fixes etc.. while i do feel a difference compare to launch day, its still really bad.
Now here's the other big issues that still persist. I tried Hologram, was it the flying bird anix or something, the camera kept lagging and worse the tracking is bad, also many times during some of its move set the camera would spontaneous lock up in one position, and you know in the Hologram fights, if you cant see the enemy you are practically dead, and not being able to manually maneuver the camera + lagging kills the enjoyment of the combat for me.
There are other bugs, like EN having bad audio volume quality even in cutscenes, voices are high, sfx are low, low textured quality, randomly teleporting to mountain tops after quick swap while fighting some bosses, enemy respawning during combat etc... all these are things I can live with until they are fixed.
But for a punishing game like Wuwa, that's focused on combat, the camera, lock on feature, spontaneous lags outside low system requirements etc really do take away from the combat experience for me. That's why I can't in my better judgement give the game more than a 5/10 if being generous just because of "it has potential". When the potential is a reality then I'll give it a better scoring respectively.
Hats off to you, I can't play any game like this on mobile to any high level. I run both WW and Genshin smoothly, but there's no way I can achieve the same level of expertise as on PC or controller.

This release was clearly rushed, an action combat game with micro-stutters and freezes is unacceptable even on lowest settings was still painful

Playing it on a computer from 2014 with a 750TI and I7-4790k on lowest settings. Only issue I’m getting is stuttering but beyond that? The looks better than Genshin imo.

WuWa gave so much compensation because its under fire on CN, NOT because they "listened". This is a card they need to do in order to survive long enough to polish their game.
If they listened, they knew the overall reception for CBT 2 was mixed and needed more polishing/baking before it's out. I was surprised it came out recently tbh, I expected it to release alongside Natlan 5.0, we all know how salty it gets with the anniversary and it would've been a fun chaotic event to see that unfold.

They were in a deadline for the Chinese license that would cost too much if renewed. If they stayed with CBT1 story and didn't change 90% writing, animation, voicelines then I believe they would've have the time to optimize and avoid their bad launch.

I think that's all I got left to say since I don't work with Kuro and don't know much information about what decisions they make behind closed curtains.
On genshin launch I literally could not open the game for days. On my pc or phone. Had to watch my friend screenshare over discord to even know what the game is like. My experience was so much worse than wuwa but I guess people all forgot that first week.

I’ve been apart of a lot of toxic gaming communities but let me tell you Genshin players are some of the most hateful toxic players players I have ever seen. (Wuwa is my first gacha game since lost ark, I mostly play fps and mobas and hearthstone.)

Look I’ll be honest Wuwa fans really aren’t that much better. I’ve seen multiple voice actors have to publicly dismiss exclusivity rumors because so many fans were conspiracy brained and harassed them.
Also every time somebody criticizes Wuwa, a counter criticism is to bring up Genshin even if the criticism didn’t mention Genshin in the first place.
If you criticize Wuwa’s story starting off badly, people respond with “but Genshin’s story is also bad”. It’s not relevant and only deflects criticism. Or they call you a hoyo shill.

@@dddmain44 At this point I think the awareness that Wuthering Waves' story is kind of mediocre is already prevalent in everyone's minds, but do realize that the community IS indeed partly made of people who moved on from Genshin, are varying degrees of unruly and entitled, and also vitriolic for no good reason to boot. They don't represent the remaining audience for both games however, and I take assurance in that. The overlap is there and frankly it's hard to do anything about it. They'll always pop up one way or another
I'm personally resting easy knowing I have more outlet for similar games in the genre within this current year (This and Azur Promilia), and I do think people should view that as a positive thing. There's more flavor to try out and experience as time goes on. We've just been living in such a day where people's attention spans are so focused on the present that time isn't even remotely a thing anymore for every single facet of life
(And to be honest the comparisons are also inevitable, though I'm noticing more and more that the ones who do compare are the ones who only play these specific subset of games and nothing else, at least, for the most part. Where's their perspective on first person shooters? Third person shooters? Platformer games? Literally any games you're required to purchase with available competitors/alternatives in the market?)
I LOVE Wuthering Waves, and I've had one of the worst experiences with PC performance. It was AWFUL, but after the recent hotfix yesterday, it's gotten SO much better. So yes, PC performance was bad, but the game's exploration and combat are SO FUN. The movement is SO much better than Genshin, I actually enjoy exploration because of it. You're also given an actual incentive to kill mobs which is pretty cool. As for combat, it reminds me of HI3 combat but with an added parry mechanic and it's the best thing I ever saw from a gacha game so far.
I disliked the story but haven't gotten to Act 5&6 so I won't comment on that much quite yet, but I don't like the "unknown powerful hero with a mysterious background wakes up with amnesia" troupe, I've seen it too many times in gacha games, HOWEVER ignoring that the story so far is pretty decent in Act 3&4 and I can't wait for 5&6.
It's worth mentioning I was not planning on playing this game and felt discouraged from the mediocre VA, but I looked at the combat and was excited so that's why I ended up downloading it - I'm usually a story player, but I've been lacking "fun" gameplay (Genshin sucks and I'm not a big fan of turn based combat), but it's just a genuinely good game. Hopefully they polish up their other mistakes.
@@horizon146 Are you playing in English? Understandable if you are, I'm not shaming you at all- but I highly recommend playing in Chinese or Japanese. There's a wider range of emotion and inflection. Can't recommend Korean because I haven't heard any yet. All that aside, glad you're enjoying the gameplay! o7
@@Shayera01 I've already considered this option but I'm simply not a fan of non-English dubs, it's also a lot easier for me because of my ADHD, I don't have to focus on the text nearly as much while missing everything else
I don't get these people. Skip what content you like, if you've read most of the main story and understand it, then yes, you can say that the main story is bad or good depending on your opinion, but that's all it is, an opinion. People need to stop trying to make their opinion fact and pushing what they want on people to get them to believe it. I hate this herd mentality of 'If loads of people think this I ALSO have to think this and you will think this too. If you don't, then I'll bully you until you do think it and insult you for it.' It's not like he's saying you HAVE to like the story, but theres a lot of reasons people don't like genshin's story and you don't have to agree with it, but refusing to acknowledge it at all just makes you ignorant and childish. And I think at this rate, a good majority of the Genshin Community are that, because they won't try to understand, they just go straight to insulting people.

Lmao when Genshin first came out, I preregistered and played since Launch, and it had an average rating of 3.5 bc of all the bugs/optimization issues and kept crashing on players. It faced the eXact same issues as WW is now. Also I remember I had to take a break from Genshin after like a month or two bc the content dried up SO FAST, WuWa doesn't seem like it'll have that problem content wise.
And ppl now are saying WW straight up copied Genshin, but no one remembers when ppl were saying Genshin copied Zelda (the gliding, climbing, colorful world, even Aether's design). But no one really cared bc Zelda's such a loved game and at Genshin's release it was really the only game of its kind. They're only being critical about WW now bc Genshin's been out for 4yrs and there are other gacha games around. And mainly they're salty about WW because it's genuinely a good game and for some reason they can't just be happy that it'll be a fun experience for ppl...
People also don't realize that since it's inception, there has almost never been a live-service game that has had absolutely 0 issues on Launch Day.
My pc is like half of what Tectone's is. I have had one single crash, rare 3-4 second hangs during loading screens after playing for 6+ hours straight, and small amounts of lag in the city. Out of the many hours I've played (I'm rank 31), there's far less bugs in WuWa than most AAA games, and WAY less than genshin. I might not crash in genshin, but I ran into bugs DAILY in genshin, and many were game-breaking. And on another note, genshin's combat is all calculated server side, while WuWa is client side. That means that MANY things do NOT work in genshin AT ALL if you have high ping. Echoes of an Offering artifact set does not work at high ping at all. An ENTIRE ARTIFACT SET is completely non-functional. If you have an internet hiccup during combat in genshin, you can't do damage, you can't switch characters, all of your bursts and skills with durations still run out, and then you have to hope like crazy that you're not dead when your internet comes back. It's just a lie. Raiden's burst never was able to proc Beidou's burst, yet it works with Xingqiu's, for no reason. They say it was intentional, but wouldn't tell us why, and it isn't even a strong combination. Arlecchino can't fight Dvalin because she can't pick up her mark off of him. Her banner is over and no fix. I can go on FOREVER on these bugs. Genshin is a fucking busted frankenstein of a game and they fix almost nothing.

what Wuwa has that genshin lost sight of a long time ago are, meaning full mechanics. Both games have grinding for sure but it is how the game contextualises and incentivises the player to take on this grind. I love the genshin characters but other than that, the game does feel very monotone of lately, Ive been playing since ver 1.0 . The lore has it's ups and downs but people forget that genshin has only got this grand in the cool dept after being in the market for 1+ year. Look at the early characters and their burst animations they dont stand against the characters released today. The quests other than the archon quests have gotten progressively longer and without purpose. Like they had no business putting a 100 aranara to complete a single quest line. Then there is the secrets of Alahmar ..... that quest gave me ptsd and i still have not completed it. Its a big ass quest and yet they didnt voice it.
Coming back to meaningful mechanics, Wuwa's combat is a breath of fresh air and it keeps you engaged, it's not brainless tapping. The characters feel more alive and so does the world around you. I wasn't sure regarding the echo system but it seems alot better than grinding artefacts. It incentivises the exploration whilst making the grinding aspect slightly invisible. Who knows if this will change and feel the norm once the game has been out for a while but so far what I can say is, character go cool slow mo if i do dodge. Sexy red head man go pew pew in air.
Totally agree. Genshin has become a chore since they put so much fluff starting in Sumeru. I did like Nahida’s archon quest but the fluff after that just made me not care for Furina’s archon quest, even though it was done well.
I don't bash Genshin, never got on the GCN train, but I completely agree about the whole "having meaning" bit. It's actually what prompted me to uninstall the game. I hadn't played since Wanderer release because I was playing other games, logged back in for Neuvilette debut banner. Then I thought, "I don't need to grind for more artifacts because Abyss isn't worth it and there's no other content that needs good builds. I don't need to get through slow exploration to progress through the story because I can just watch cutscenes and lore videos, and read recaps." If I'mma be pressing buttons in the endgame, I'd rather it be because there's actually something to strive for, whether it's for hard content or to experiment with new ways to play.
I feel like exploration in Wuwa won't be too bad even in the long run because I have a reason to explore that's not just getting caskets and chests, and the movement itself is pretty fast and fluid. That has me hyped beyond reason, ngl.
That's... not what the Aranara quest is? Finding Aranara is a bonus objective that you do to unlock some chests. You don't need to do it to complete any quests.

Without getting too much into game design aspect of things. The only time tactics like these are used is when you want to stall the player. If we look at it for its core mechanic, it's basically a collectable mechanic. How many does genshin have those per region already? From the top of my head, We have the oculi, sigils, shrines and regional trees, seele.
With the aranra bonus aspect, it makes it seem even more like a stall tactic because the rewards are no way worth the hassle (just talking about the chest room not the whole quest). Considering that the player has to manually find them there is no map indication, which further instills the stall, making the play experience monotone and a chore.

I played genshin from the global launch, played about 2 years and I was at 59 level , I left the game because of un rewarding thing that genshin have and the story and quest that I can't skip . I am telling this I just played weathering wave, after 4 day and 20h of playing this game is batter than most aspects that genshin have bad . Story skip function, weapon gacha , combat , every this is legit and very rewarding.
If I play 10h genshin at start I will abel to do atleast 20 to 30 summon max but in weathering wave I invest 10h and i am able to do 40 summon + 20 ( thay give free ) summon = free jingyan . This is legit. In genshin I get my first limited charecter after 1month + of playing.
I think this game deserve better and all the genshin players who playing genshin from the global launch, just play this game about 2,3 hour and you guys will say this game is care about there player and they are very rewarding for f2p player . Better then genshin 1000% for my prospective.

Story: 4/10 - Agree with many viewers. However, I skipped act 6 due to how poor the previous acts were so I didn't get to experience it as much as you did. I will go back and watch a video on it, but I'm afraid many casuals will also skip this act due to how poor the previous acts played out.
Combat: 9/10 - 100% it plays and feels better than genshin, however, the camera issues is currently keeping this from being a perfect score for me atm. You haven't experienced it yet as you've mentioned in the video so I understand how it didn't impact your score.
World: 7/10 - This really depends on people's subjective taste, but the world in WuWa leaves a lot to be desired. Just like the music, there's not really anywhere in the world that leaves a lasting memory on me atm.
Music: 6/10 - You've touched on this in the video and I wholeheartedly agree. Until there's music that makes me POG or has me humming to it even after getting off the game, it really isn't impressive.
Voice Acting: 8/10 - I play JP so I haven't experience any ENG voice acting. JP VA is great in my opinion.
Character Design: 7/10 - Again, really depends on people's subjective taste, but, genshin characters blow WuWa out of the water atm in my opinion. The only characters that really have me drooling are Chamellya (the bad girl that we pounce on in the story), Yinlin, and Jinyan. Not really a scar enjoyer, sorry!
Movement: 10/10 - incredible!
PC Performance: 5/10 - Unfortunately, I am one of the people who are experiencing the stutering issues even though my computer can run many other games on high settings. This is currently the biggest issue that's preventing me from enjoying WuWa to the max!
Exploration: 10/10 - I think movement and exploration can go together, again, incredible!
Puzzles: 7/10 - nothing too crazy here, puzzles are enjoyable for sure but there are some overlapping puzzles that I've seen in genshin and HSR!

I love Lingyang but god I hate the direction they went with his voice. Though it is definitely better than in CBT. I had to switch to JP in his story quest and it was soooooo much better and playing him now feels less annoying. I love him even more
the ping issue still affects single player gameplay since everything comes out in delay, so you can be spamming attacks on an enemy but if you have 300 ping you're only gonna see the effects after a few seconds

@asafpm8196 There's a difference between "stable and constant ping" and "ping spike." I belong to asia, but i play on europe server with CONSTANT 300 ping and experience 0 lag issues. Lag only occurs when ping SPIKES all of a sudden (as happened in your case, it seems). And ping spikes are generally a network issue on the player end.

I feel like you should state that "Genshin's story is terrible" is your opinion only, you sound like is a fact, even more when you talk about non dub world quests. There is literaly people animating and dubing "Golden Slumber", a world quest from Sumeru, because is super good, there is other examples. You didnt like Sumeru's main story because you were already tired of the game (and thats fine), but dont turn a forced experience into "genshin's story is terrible"

I haven’t played Genshin since the ogre inazuma guy released, but imo, what Genshin does really well is story telling. I was impressed by how they could get you invested in a character in a short amount of time. Like Shenhe and Opera girl whose name I can’t remember was really well done.
Currently I’m playing WW, and the story does get better towards the end but I wouldn’t call it good yet. For example, Taoqi’s monologue is bad, it’s so long winded where you’re supposed to be in a high tension TD outbreak situation.
Yangyang’s “I’ll stay behind” scene also falls flat. The story hasn’t given me any reason to really care about her, am I supposed to be worried about her? Or did they just want to keep the end fight to 2 characters? There’s alot of instances of bad story telling. I heard that the story was reworked last minute. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Either way I’ll still be playing WW for awhile to see where it goes.

I think it's wild to have the mentality of "you either hate it or you're a shill". I play both wuwa and genshin and i enjoy both. What i like about genshin is the character designs and the story, although there's so much i dislike about genshin as well. I enjoy wuwa's echo system a lot, got my first phantom today and i was so happy about that haha. I also actually like the story quite a bunch, i think it's great. I also love the combat, what i dislike is the camera randomly locking itself during battle which messes up my parry. I also don't like that when you run up instead of climbing, the speed will often continue when you're at the top and that will cause you to fall down again if the platform is small. Other than that, honestly, i enjoy the game. Why must we hate or defend one of the games when we could enjoy both (for us that still plays genshin ofcourse, doesn't apply to those who quit). Honestly, wuwa deserves the praise it's getting, kuro did a good job.

Imma be completely honest here, wuwa is objectively better than genshin a lot of ways. However, at the late game, playing wuwa sucks. This is only really a problem after union 30. Resources are an absolute pain in the rear to get. Especially echo exp, normally that isn't all that different the genshin, the problem is that the rate of Resources in comparison tot he amount of wave plates are used is abysmal and locking the 80% rank 5 echos to union 40 is annoying as hell although not really important. Unless they increase the Resource rate or at least make things a little cheaper to get through waveplates, people are not gonna stay in the game. You may say that you don't need to build characters when skill is the most important factor, but most of the players in the game are casuals.

Mostly the setting and vibes and characters I think. Only a small minority cares about abyss and endgame, while social media talk nonstop about the lack of it. I really appreciate the game for its fantasy isekai setting and the worldbuilding with the gods and visions. That feels approachable and unique, while many other gachas failed to impress people. I like Wuwa combat, but the character design is so boring to me that I don't even feel like pulling anyone right now. Not really feeling at home, i might drop ist soonish since combat alone can't save it for me, and I don't care about exploring it either since story and worldbuilding are so meh.
On the other hand, I'm looking forward to Azur Promilia. Looks like a more polished, modern Genshin with fantasy theme, elves, flying, pets, harvest moon farming etc., legit gives me positive fun vibes.

I wanted to get your attention on livestream but i didn't manage so i'll write a comment here. While recongnizing mistakes and apologizing is always good, WuWa is in a bigger problem than people are saying, the game got BOMBARDED by CN reviews and right now it has a lower score than Genshin on the playstore and barely higher than ToF (0,1 difference), the issues were VERY BAD these rewards aren't born from "generosity" they were basically forced to do so or the game would've been dead. The release was rushed because they wanted the game out before ZZZ at all costs most likely and now they are in trouble, and while the excuse of "Genshin had a lot of problems at launch as well" seems fair, the problem is that Wuwa doesn't have to compete with 1.0 Genshin, it has to compete with 4.7 Genshin which is a much more polished game. Is it unfair? Yeah, but it's the reality we live in

What i like from WuWa is that they have playable character that look like someone above 40's and with beard. While other gacha games usually only have playable character that look young or the oldest probably around early 30's.
Ex-genshin player that played daily till Ayato, lost interest then moved on. I prefer WUWA's combat compared to genshin's.
I enjoy the game so much, i bought the battlepass + monthly and am considering swiping for Jiyan's weapon. Compared to genshin's pulling system, WUWA's is better. Back in the days of whales failing 50/50 for weapon banner and swiping and swiping and swiping, we get a guaranteed banner, 3 free 5 stars starters, don't have a shitty QIQI.
As a new player it really doesn't get any better than this. You can argue WUWA learned from Genshin's mistakes but the weapon banner on Genshin was such a joke, everyone knew it and it took like a year or so (can't remember) before Genshin decided to change it and give u a guaranteed after you lose the 50/50. Also from what i have been reading, for end game, weapons are swappable for WUWA. I'm not asking people to swipe, but if you do decide to, at least you didn't end up with an Amos bow that nobody really wanted till Ganyu came to the picture. The weapons in the standard banner, complements the starter 5 stars at least and you get 1 for free. What more do you want?

Bugs exist in every game that never get fixed, the problem is performance and a lack of optimization,for me at least. The story so far is so so. Wuthering overall is a breath of fresh air, the exploration (running on the wall and other), the looting of chest's and other is automatically done and what is basicaly the artefacts can be found everywhere, but I would say it still needs a mount

This isn't a device/PC issue and everyone knows it. Game performance has basically been a roulette. MrPokke literally has an RTX 4080 with 64GB RAM and he crashed four times. So what's next, you tell him to upgrade to a 4090? 💀
Funny thing is I saw some CN player in Bilibili who's using a very high end laptop (i9 13th gen, RTX 4090 mobile) and experienced stuttering as well. 23:15 ping 100% maters in single player. It affect input lag, which in high intensity games like Genshin and Wuwa where you use jump/dash/switch cancels as well as precisely timed dodges/parries can make the difference between being able to do the thing and not doing it at all

Unfortunately you’re right. Genshin seems targeted at kids which is why their audience gets so butthurt when you criticize their game. When you watch the Genshin live streams the hosts speak like they’re in the Wiggles or Blue Clues. It’s clear their main audience is under 12
After finishing the story quest and doing a bit of exploration, i'm now level 27.
Here's what I find good :
- Gameplay is very fun, i'm bad at combos and dodging but I find it really cool when I still manage to do something, it' not as hardcore as people made it out to be, but there are some hard parts to the game, It Feels fair.
- The environment is looking very good, the world is pretty, and changes with the story/quest you're doing which is a +
- The design of the main character and how they play feels "complete" compared to Genshin's traveller, this is the only comparison I can have because HSR is too different to compare and I've not played any other game that I could realistically compare to it.
- Music is good, although maybe a little too repetitive I feel like.
Now for the bad:
- Optimization issues, two of my trusted friends are having trouble with the game, granted they are far from having high end PCs.
- The endurence to get any materials from boss battles or encounters is either too low or the endurence costs are too high, you can only do 4 bosses a day... that's way too low. I want to play more of your game Kuro, but I can't.
- The keybinds. Please let us change them. Using a European keyboard is PAIN, and not being able to map your own keybinds is so weird in 2024. I really wish they'd do something about it.
- The story was.... in my opinion bad. I get that Tectone liked the final Arc of the current story, but it was really written poorly, and not interesting to me. the setting was fantastic, that big moon basically screaming doom has come etc etc.... but my god the writing was .... fanfiction levels of bad. (again my opinion) I did like the bit with Scar a lot though,.
Get real problems
I haven't had lag or performance drops on PC, but I have had constant crashes. "Critical errors"s and "D3D" crashes. Thankfully these crashes usually don't lose any progress, but it is pretty frustrating to be in a story mission or cutscene and just have the game die. I was in the last boss of the final story chapter, and right at a dramatic moment the game just froze. Not the end of the world, but it is something I'd like to see fixed (and some more pulls plz). The game has been good enough so far that these crashes haven't stopped me from enjoying it. I think that speaks to how much fun it can be.

Terrible narration, disgusting voice acting, I'm not talking about optimization at all, an open world like in Genshin, fucking shit.
That there is a beautiful wrapper with shit inside, and you just collect this mint, that there are puzzles even similar to Genshin's, this is one of the reasons for the drop of the game.
The second is the music, the boss themes are great, the main menu theme is great, but the rest....I don't even know, nothing at all?
Whatever you say about Genshin and no matter how much I think Genshin is shit, but the music there is really great, saying that WW is a great soundtrack is just nonsense.
The combat system. I fucked this camera, but fighting bosses is the only interesting thing to do in this game. The idea with echo is also great, but one combat system, for me personally, will not be able to carry the above problems.
And yes, the fact that you can skip dialogues is great, of course, but when they tell you "Tectone, this story and quests suck" and you answer:
"You can skip it if you don't like it."
It's terrible, it doesn't solve the root of the problem.
And this is my first hours of playing, I don't care what happens next with the acts, etc.
If the game offers me complete shit from the first hours, what I described above, then fuck this game.
If the developers really solve these optimization problems in the next updates, with the plot and music, I'll take all my words back and shut the fuck up.
But now, at least let's put the event character in the selector, if this game is impossible to play, then fuck this game
