I have made this at least a dozen times. I’ve also made savoury and stuffed with spinach, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, capers, olives and mozzarella and I will never use another recipe 😋 Thanks Jewlish!!!
I made this recipe for Easter and it was a hit! The challah tasted wonderful! Every single one of my guests have requested me to make this for their birthdays and upcoming holidays. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful recipe !
Love this recipe!! I've made in and out of bowl, and it was great both times!! I did use avocado oil instead of olive oil and I used local organic honey. Would not change a thing!!!
Seeing you use eggs on a wood surface, I’d like to know the best way to clean/disinfect it afterwards. Also, to add raisins, is it best to do so during the cinnamon sugar step or to add and mix raisins into the dough? Looks yummy and easy! 🌷
Hi there. I'm so bummed. I've been making the challah in a bag you posted and my family loves it but now when I click on my saved video of it it won't let me view it. Where can I find the recipe? Oh and I made this challah last week (with canola oil since I didn't have olive oil on hand) and we looooved it!!
I love this recipe. I can't figure out how to bake it without burning the bottom. I do use parchment paper. Each time, i end up cutting off the bottom part that's burned. Just wondering how to avoid doing that.
Yesterday’s challah was amazing! I’m so suprised it worked out considering the yeast granules. I’m going to try making with less sugar though, maybe a poppyseed filling
Is there a substitute I can use instead of honey? If so how much is needed and do I need to add extra water or anything to make up for the fluid honey has?
What confuses me is that the yeast isn't proofed first, it's just thrown in the mix. Am I misunderstanding something? I thought I'd need to proof Active Dry Yeast.

Wow this looks so yummy!! I wish I could eat it through the screen! I’ve done regular challah recipe videos but you’ve inspired me to branch out!

I was just reading your comment. I also used Avocado oil because that’s all I had and the challah came out amazing!
I made this today and it was good! I added cranberries too. Thanks
Looks amazing! This may be my first bread recipe that I make from scratch. THANKS!

Just made this today as a tryout before Thanksgiving. Wow! So good. Absolutely beautiful dough. Thanks for this recipe.

It’s like I can still see the granules of yeast in the dough mixture :s

Amazing! For the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture can I substitute butter for the same amount you used for oil?
sure
We want more videos
Can you use sugar in place of honey?
🤩🤩🤩
Is this the same bread as cinnamon babka?
Is the water warm

That Jewish at the end 😃 I’m a non Jew, but I make this for Shabbat. 🤗❤🙏🏼🙌🏻

Is this bread flour or all-purpose flour?
Either will work
fuck that looks crazy good

You don't really need to proof yeast, it just helps make sure your yeast is alive and doing well, but it is not necessary.
Maybe they used instant yeast. I still think you get a better rise when you proof the yeast first.
So I take it you only have the one big bowl.
Take it from me, do this in a bowl 😔
It's not worth the Nona cred
@CMiller1334 Totally, I feel you. That lefty has much more experience than I do. It was a mess 😔
