Tina, I just so love your channel and I wish we lived closer, because I would give you the biggest hug! You are amazing. I pulled out my stamps because, you are right, we can do so much with them.
I like that you are adding other colours and not so matchy, matchy. It gives the piece a focal point and provides contrast. Not necessary on everything but it does draw the eye to that little red butterfly.
I wouldn't of thought of stamping on printed papers either. Brilliant. They came out really nice. Thanks In case you've never heard of it, I've seen Pam on the Paper Outpost take a spray bottle of water and squirt her dried stamp pads and it seemed to worked well.
Thank you for this idea! I had lots then inherited so many from my mother. I kept lots that I just couldn't part with and donated some. I will use them more now.
thanks for sharing this, Tina! I've been showing on my Stampin' Up! tutorials about stamping on pattern paper. I think a lot of people think they can only stamp on a solid background. I love the stamps you used. Creative Blessings!
Great idea! I LOVE this! Thanks for the inspiration. I rarely use my stamps. It's a shame to have so much money in them to just sit and not be used. Blessings and Hugs 🤗
I have my favorite stamps on my desk and a huge drawer of ones I always forget about! This is a fabulous idea with printed papers! I can't say I have had any problems with staz-on ruining my stamps, thank goodness!
I often mass make these, using blank label stamps -- a great way to get a variety of different coloured labels to embellish pages, etc, and to use up paper scraps. Thanks for sharing, Tina!
A great use of stamps, Tina. I started buying them about 20 years ago, and just sold about three quarters of them in my craft room sale. I kept the beauties that I know I will use for the style of art I currently do. Love your inspiration using them on the pattern papers. Thanks!
I like the layering on the little booklet cover ~ very pretty! My favorite stamp that I frequently use is a small bird on a branch. Now I want to experiment using this stamp on some patterned paper. Thank you for the idea.
I am really just starting out and I have purchased a few stamps and I do love them and am learning different ways to use them and ways to use them is so much fun.
Stamps are one of my favourite craft items, they are great value because they last for years and have to many ways to use them. Have fun with your stamps x
This is brilliant. I have several 'postmark' stamps and script stamps and one that stamps the 'Postcard' title on the back. I sorted through my (much too big) collection of 12 x 12 pads from The Works and selected those designs that are suitable, with fairly plain backs. I was able to create a great postcard design on the plainer back and I stamped a suitable decorative design on the front. I would never have thought of doing it before seeing your video. Thanks for a great idea!
Thanks for the great ideas! I don't stamp as much as I should. My favorites are postal, post cards, tickets, and birds! I am trying to use the flower stamps more and then water coloring. Most of my stamps come from box lot auction sites. I remove them all from the wooden blocks. I would be hard pressed to identi6the make! I also prefer the permanent inks.
i got your birdsong collection today, I love it and really like the colors, Be great for fall ! Seems like I get so many with pinks and blues so I like the burnt oranges for a change ! Thanks for the beautiful design.
Oh thank you so much, I hadn’t thought of using the Birdsong papers for fall, but you are so right, they the perfect colours for this time of year. Have fun x
if you clean your stamps with rubbing alcohol after each use you will always get a crisp image especially on your more detailed stamps. This is a great idea and will be trying this.thank you
Thank you for sharing this fun idea stamping on pattern paper. I'll have to give it a try. My stamps lost their sticking ability too, so I washed them in dish soap and wa la, they are sticky again...Hugs from Arizona

Just an FYI...when you get a new stamp take an eraser to it because they come with a film from the manufacturer. This is especially true for silicone but I’ve noticed a difference on ,y red rubber ones also.
Tina, when your clear stamp won't stick to the block you can wash both the block and stamp get off the oils which cause it not to stick. My favorite trick I learned from someone on UA-cam is to apply a bit of chapstick on the stamp and it will stick really well to the block.

I like to keep a cheap bottle of hand sanitizer at my desk for cleaning. I clean off the back of my stamps & my blocks to help them stick better. I do a lot of mixed media & get all sorts of things on y block & stamps lol And the ones that just wont stick anymore I use a little glue stick on the back & clean both the block & stamp backs with the sanitizer afterwards. So when I want a crisp image I’ll often stamp the stamp down & peel the paper off the stamp. Thankfully a lot of my stamping is for backgrounds, so it doesn’t matter if it’s not quite right lol

Hi Tina, may I suggest to you that you use the proper ink for your surface. According Tsukineko, who makes Stazon, it is intended for non-porous surfaces such as plastic and glass. You will not have as successful application on paper. For stamping detailed stamps onto paper you will have excellent results from Versafine, also a Tsukineko product. It is intended for detailed stamps, it is waterproof, archival and dries almost immediately. I hope this helps! Hugs! Deborah Cade
Thank you Deborah I had never known that. I love the Stazon inks and they tend to be my go to ink when stamping , but might have to try some of the Versafine inks, I’ve only ever used their clear ink pad for embossing x

Did you know you can buy re-inkers for your ink pads? It comes in little bottles (but you don't need the whole bottle to re-ink it). So you can use the same ink pad over and over.

As you can see I don’t clean my stamps, but there are some great ideas here in the comments x
