Introducing my ca 1899 Edison Home A Phonograph! “Up In A Coconut Tree” with gourd horn.

I finally got it! A early red banner what originally was a suitcase Edison Home from circa 1899 or so. This makes this a tie with my second oldest machine and my Oldest Edison machine. This machine has a sketchy history and may have been stolen early in its life due to a forged serial number and the case circa 1901-1902 was updated from a suitcase to a “new style” case. I play an early Billy Murray tune on this machine.

Oldradios after watching the other one I thought, hang on, Same Banner, but this had a gourd funnel/speaker. Loved it. 😊

Serial numbers were often used to report stolen machines in that time. The case change is moreso fascinating.
