Let me hear your suggestions for the viewer event this weekend and hit me up if you got any great topic ideas for upcoming guides! And as always thank you so much for watching everyone! You are seriously the best internet people around!❤
I'd love to get better especialy in terrible situations but maybe this comes down to mapknowledge? If you have some advices for me which aren't worth a video, just massage me on discord (Pera) or we have a quick chat. Thank you
Not sure if you’ve already done this and if so what is the video called, but a compilation of all the funny bugs and glitches you’ve encountered in vermintide. Or alternatively, you review games where you wipe solo or with a team, and explain the critical errors that were made, what should’ve been done etc. Hope this helps!
Sienna Mace deserves some love. Not enough people using it, despite it being absolutely deadly. I always hear everyone say how flail is so much better, I personally don't find it so whatsoever, but then no one seems to know how to use it right. Also as a side note Pyro sporting mace and with her crazy maximum attack speed build is a better slayer than the actual damned slayer, change my mind!
Great video as usual. I don't have the mod that shows the attacks and modifiers so being able to see them in your vids is always handy, not to mention all this in-depth exploration of individual weapons are my favorite.
RE: Brett Sword and Shield As long as you can get to the sword sweep, it's H/L to do 2 shield bashes after it. The combo I like is P/L/L/H/L, for 3 shield bashes and a linesman sweep. This combo either gives enough time for the stamina to regen or drains stam slow enough that I can do it for a long time.
O.M.G. I've used Rapier N Pistol for Salt for so long and never knew you can, "BLOCK AND USE SPECIAL AT THE SAME TIME!" All these time I thought it's just there for shitz and giggles, when you're out of ammo, or when you're giving Ranald's Finger to the special wailing on a player and 'maybe' get them off. I've been trying to get WHC with Rapier to the next lvl in legend/cata for awhile, and it's pretty hard to get the greens for special/elites without going full sniper WHC. Hopefully this knowledge will help some. Thanks ThePartyKnife. LOL Commenting Salt weap for a Krub video.
How bout an indepth guide for Shade backstabbing. Because testing in the tower brings up some odd results where Sword and Dagger hit once (one big crit pings up) where the 1h Axe pings 3 (3 crit numbers up at once) and it's confusing me.
Damage numbers have a cap and therefore if you deal 1000 damage in 1 hit it is divided by number units of 255 so 255 255 255 235 all at once next to each other would show up from that single hit.
second more on topic comment😅 (still need to sleep) : as a console player, despite being somewhat new to this game i’ve found a few things that make using the controller better: a) use the motion controls! i know a lot of people cringe when they hear that, but hear me out. turn on the motion controls, but turn down the sensitivity. a lot. then use them primarily for aiming for head shots with melee. for ranged, use them for quick reactions to enemies like assassins, and then use the R stick for just general movements. also, having the motion controls on allows you to click L3 to center the camera... why you can’t do this normally, i don’t know. 🤷♂️ b) turn down the vibration. at least on PS4/5, the vibrations can be so strong that the make aiming difficult on some weapons, specifically Kerillian’s staff and Sienna’s bolt staff. this is even WORSE if you have motion controls on, as with the two aforementioned weapons the default strong vibrations will actually thrown your aim off center. turning it down to even just medium solves the problem. c) use control scheme alternative 1. this flips your main attack and block from being on the triggers to the bumpers. this reeeeeeally makes the constant combos a hell of a lot less tiring on your hands. using a controller with back buttons, or getting an attachment can help too as far as button access goes as you wont need to take your hands off the stick to dodge then either.
informative vid as always, but i have to get this off my chest concerning video game “halberds”: Video games have been confusing halberds and pole axes for ages and it makes me crazy! especially since more often than not they never have actual halberds in games AT ALL. this is true for Kruber’s “halberd” as well; it’s not a halberd, it’s a pole axe. if you look up both weapons, you’ll find that actual halberds are much longer overall, with about a for and half long spike (about half a meter) on the end, and the “axe” part is generally angled towards the user, and often has a concave crescent shape, inferring that it was meant more for draw cuts on the legs of infantry and cavalry’s horses more than chopping. halberds were also much longer than pole axes, generally being longer than the user. pole axes were what dudes in armor would use for man to man combat, and were about as tall as the user, like what Kruber has. anyhow, sorry for the off topic rant, just a video game pet peeve😅. p.s., “pole axe” is usually one word, like “poleaxe” but i figured i’d separate the two so folks would not get confused on how to pronounce it if they’ve never seen the word before. but yeah, video games are weird. another good example of this is how Kruber is the only character in game to actually be able to use his weapon and shield at the same time, with his spear and shield. (i wonder why Kerillian can’t do the same? did it just not occur to fat shark at the time?🤔). obviously game mechanics are at play here, so realistic fighting needs to stand aside for balance (this is a fantasy game too) but..... ah crud, ranting again. i need to go to sleep, get too rambley when i’m tired 😅 again, great informative vid as always, you can all ignore me.
@@ThePartyKnife true, it s more of a two handed bearded axe looking ...thing. don’t even get me started in the hammer and shield’s lack of armor damage - that’s what war hammers were for! at least the billhook is a fairly accurate representation 🤷♂️😅
Dude, you do know that there were different types of halberds? Some are for slashing-those are the early ones, while the later ones are more stab-oriented. Also, where did you find a halberd with HALF A METER LONG SPIKE? Are you confusing the shaft reinforcements with the spike?
Britonian sword is by far my favorite weapon in the game. Not sure if it was off topic for you to mention the movement bonus you can get from using the heavy attacks for movement bonus. (as long as you time swings correctly) I need to give the light cancel a deeper look, but it feels like light light cancel is better even looking at the math since doing a block cancel in under .09 secs doesn't seem sustainable without a macro especially after you factor in the time is even more reduced for attack speed from bonuses and swift slaying if you use it. The combo with with the push attack to heavy to light was new for me, so thanks.
The Halberd was definitely the most satisfying weapon for me to fully understand and I honestly feel so unstoppable (or comfortable I guess) when I use it haha. Also, you should totally do that controller playthrough😁 I forgot I had my controller plugged in one time I loaded up verm and just decided to swing a few weapons in the keep with the controller…….. it was terrible lol I felt like octodad trying to play this game I have hundreds of hours in lolol. Great content btw my dude
I’ve seen a lot of videos with Halberd, but how do you block cancel so fast? For me it almost has to finish the block animation before I can swing again
It feels very counterintuitive at first but the best way I can describe it is that you need to block when you are attacking and attack when you are about to block! :)
just got the game and your videos have been super helpful - one thing to note, can you move quicker by spamming an attack with the bretonnian shield/sword? I saw another video of yours where you seem to spam it between moving. Also how much attack speed is needed to see the fluid animation you are displaying? At level 23 , it feels clunky canceling.
Question about the H2 of the halberd (the sweep, so H1 in armory) It has got the Heavy Linesman modifier. But since it hasn't got the armor cleave property (like the greatsword heavy) and the difference between linesman and heavy linesman is only for armored minions, is there even a sense in it having heavy linesman instead of linesman?? Also, I think this heavy should actually possess the armor slicing. Hope this will one day be implemented. Great video on some of my absolutely favourite weapons!!
I have an amazing suggestion for the viewer event: Viewers get to pick your build via some kind of troll. Wait, I meant poll. Really, I meant a viewer poll, not viewer troll. Because, your viewers are so kind, no way would they troll you if they got to pick your loadout.
Idk i didnt like halberd on merc kruber cuz he cant cleave well with his passive. I went with greatsword. You ulti on the wave of mobs and cleave, youre basically unkillable with the temp health
30:38 Oi! Controller players can block cancel. In fact, I think it's easier since they're on opposite shoulder buttons and thus use different hands, rather than the same hand. At the very least, finger rolling is trivially easy on controller. It's all banter though lol.
IMO halberd works best on footknight, on merc exe seems to do almost everything the same, but better Btw halberd heavy + light combo can oneshot headshot plagues/berserks also, which is really nice with that range
I wasn't really referencing the hero though! :) This was primarily about the weapons themselves and their mechanics which you can use on whichever class you want to play them with!
For some reason I just don't vibe with the xsword at all, after using it for some time when playing grail knight. But I find the bretonnian sword funny and I want to try the halberd. I don't have the spear though
Ah yes a poleaxe, worse version of Bretonian GS, realy good. I would invlude Push>Heavy>Special>Special for anti armor shield + spear, its realy fast and kills SV safely while bloking. Bretonian GS L2 can be better than L1 because its horizontal and can hit multiple heads.

The funny thing about halberd is that in the past it was the only weapon that had a negative dodge distance
Way to make the hardest to use weapon in game, more harder lol
6:30 This "hidden property" is referred to as "Armor Sliding" by the community if you want a shorthand for it (after explaining it of course).
Just in time, wanted to start a halberd build with kruber. Thank you.
