    Thanks for this review! For us REAL 4c girlies I guess this is good for stretching the hair rather than for achieving a wearable straight style. I’ll think for a bit longer before I purchase this. Tired of seeing reviews from girls with 4a/4b hair claiming to be 4c lol

      Yeah same I feel like I"ll have the same extreme revert problem as she had in the video lol. I have that even with a flat iron at home I just can't get it like the salons do 😂

    Yes, true 4C hair. I’m with you girl. I like the Tymo, It does straighten our hair, but does it stay straightened, no. Girl we be struggling and people just don’t understand.
    I literally have to twist the section after finishing straightening it. This does make a pretty style with flat twist.
    I will say, Make sure you don’t use a blower dryer heat protectant (it is water based) use the Chi flat iron heat protectant (which is oil based for the tymo. To blow dry use the blow dryer chi spray.

    Yes , us real 4C hair girlies understand. I be watching videos of girls using products that claim to be 4C and I be like girl bye! But Anyway, you are correct I tried so many products and tools and professionals and my hair simply will only stay straight 15 min max🤷🏾‍♀️I just gotta deal with it or relax it. However, I would use this before getting braids-I think it’s perfect for that.

      Thank you someone gets it. I hate people come under my videos, leaving comments and their hair is not even close to 4c. It’s hard out here for us lol. After my hair gets to a certain length honestly I just perm it rock my relaxer for 2 or 3 months then I start over again because I miss my puff 😫

    Thank you for demonstrating this because I have 4C and you can tell the difference of when someone has hair like us vs those who don't. Definitely going to pause on not getting this because of the density and beautiful thickness definitely want a product where the heat helps maintain it much more longer along with products of course. And be proud of yourself for telling the haters and trolls to pretty much fuck off and kick rocks 😂😂 because they have nothing better to do than to hate. Proud of you queen.

    This is how straight 4c hair looks like, it’s still gonna be puffy. When I understood that I stopped trying to do silk press( I’m not saying you can’t do silk press in 4c hair lol)

    • @madelineboateng
      @madelineboateng  6 місяців тому +9

      Exactly!!! It’s so upsetting becasue I feel like social media has turned 4A and 4B hair into 4c hair. You can achieve silk press on 4c hair, but it requires a lot.

      Yeah that’s not true at all. Professional stylists know how to get mine bone straight. The only issue is, it lasts for about 2 days before it’s puffy again lol

    • @madelineboateng
      @madelineboateng  6 місяців тому +3

      @unyellow7619 I doubt a professional hairstylist is using a tymo for a silk press Lolol. 4c hair is the most difficult hair but we gotta love it lol. Imagine paying for a silk press and it only lasted two days. 😫 we can’t win

      4c hair with a good stylist and straightening comb will last. Not many stylists have the skills to achieve this without burning or heat damaging your hair

    U r right. You can’t control peoples opinions but you can & should expect common decency sweetheart. Just because you’re an influencer doesn’t excuse crappy disrespectful behaviour or comments from people. It’s weird & baffling to me why anyone would even want to comment nasty things. Anyhoo, thanks for the honest review. My hair isn’t like yours but it’s still good to see how it performs on everybody.😘

    Thank you for this bc I refuse to buy this now 😂 my hair is usually really soft and easy to flat iron after a good blow dry but my ponytail spot in the middle of my head is super rough 😭 is there a 4F? Bc that’s my middle 😂

      @@DR.Sailior thanks I spend more time blow drying and flat ironing that spot . I just bought an electric hot comb and it’s helped me hit that spot way better

    Yessss I thought it was just me my daughter was getting upset that her hair 4c wasn’t how they advertised it I thought I was doing it wrong it’s like a hot comb just lightens it!! Her hair is very thick!! It’s good in my hair which is relaxed but not so good in hers such a shame!

  • @yogawithshavonne8237

    I think it has a lot to do with the health of your hair as well… I’ve watched a couple other 4c girls who’s hair is just as thick as yours but healthy and already had a trim and theirs came out great … not sure if that has anything to do with your results

    • @julytiff731
      @julytiff731 4 місяці тому +2

      That’s not true, because my hair healthy and it’ll go flat for maybe an hour and puff right back up. Now I don’t even wanna waste spending $65

    • @sharon-bp9pk

      It came out great, but how long did it last? Lol

    • @pmerancier
      @pmerancier 24 дні тому

      so cutting her ends will help it stay flat? This is false because my hair is healthy and i rarely apply heat to my hair and this is what happens to my 4c hair as well. it puffs back up when i havent completed the whole head and i wasted time even thinking ny hair would stay flat. i think it is useful if you just want it to be manageable after wash day

    We’re so unlucky with our hair type. So puffy and dumb. I hate it and wish I had nicer hair.

    I have 4c 4b hair and I used the same straightener and had the same results, it does straighten but you will have to go back and use the flat iron for a consistent straight look. I like the straightener and the blow dryer but still have use flat irons. Maybe a professional can do better with straightener. I feel like this was a good review for the average joe
