This was SO true to my life... I'm blown away. I work from my kitchen and at least twice a week I have to yell at the printer that IF YOU DON'T PRINT THE SHIPPING LABELS THEN I DON'T HAVE A JOB ANYMORE. So out comes the test page and the blatant refusal to do anymore work until I "align the test page".
I feel your pain arose. We need a support group!!

My printer (Canon) refused to operate last week .I got a message to take it to a repair shop but took it to the gun range instead .There we had a 12 gauge therapy session and I do feel a lot better now .Baseball or cricket bat sessions also work
That killed me!! 😂 My printer isn't just eating my papers, it's taking the desk down with it, shaking the screws looser and looser with every job. If the printer kills my desk, he just may find himself on death row, and you've given me several creative ideas on how to do the deed.
And....Don’t get me started on the price of ink cartridges. Then after driving around to find a place which stock the correct one you try wrestling in a new one only to be told you need to do a nozzle cleaning check and then it’s needs another decking cartridge.... may as well PDF the doc and email to a friend with a working printer.

I have had 4 printers who are so good the first time you use them then fuck all. Need more ink is the usual excuse when it hasn't printed anything since the first time :0) xx
I mean, it’s crazy that they continue to have the same problems. Most things advance. Not the home printer. As shit as the first one ever made!

Hilarious! I hardly use printers these days and I think the traumatic memories are pretty much buried ... but not so much I can't fully appreciate your disquisition.
I ended up moving nearer to kinkos and got plenty more sleep, less stress, and coffee before I picked up my bundle of bound documents

2 years into college I lost it with home printers. They never work, the ink is low as soon as replaced (the color one which we don’t even use, science: typically in apa with no colorful splurges). $80 for color ink to print bw text
