- With one BWR under my belt this year, San Marco, I was chomping at the bit to better my performance. I had a solid bit of training since round 1 and I was looking forward to testing out the feels. Unbound was still lingering in the legs of some of the racers, which was also working in my favor. Luck, on the other hand had other plans for me.
After a good start and making the front group, then getting dropped, I flatted. Then ready to rally, I flatted again.
Big thanks to the two people who helped me with hand pumps and extra tubes!
I ended up 16th still hungry for a better placing in the BWR overall.
These videos take a lot of time to make and sometimes the adventures are expensive. If you feel like donating to encourage/help me offset costs, THANKYOU! Your contribution is greatly appreciated and gives me the resources to provide y'all more content.

“It seemed like that literally just opened gate and let us go through there”. Ha. About right. Nice race
very cool...thanks Kerry
I know a guy who makes these cool saddle bags that easily hold 2 tubes and multiple co2s, a pump even.
Awww dude....I am sorry ! Still , 16th , after that is amazing ! Thanks for sharing and good luck in the
PNW.....Peace
16th is incredible considering the circumstances.
yellow line rule be damned! This. Is. Gravel!
Thanks for this recap. I am so glad to hear you thought it was a tough course because I felt like I barely survived it.. Amazing job to keep pushing through the bad luck.
3:12 🤦🏼♂️. Should’ve all been DQ right there
No aero bar on Dylan's bike, musta been backward hat Dylan.
haha
Hard luck Kerry, it is great to watch the races from your perspective at the pointy end. I am have to be content with mid pack madness.
Great, concise breakdown. Great video and equally great ride effort! So well done on both fronts.
Hey kerry great video. I enjoy watching your adventures and in particular your awesome attitude. I raced back in the day (70’s 7 80’s) and have great respect for your perseverance. Keep up the good work and those great stories😎
That sucks Kerry. Good luck on the upcoming races. I'm stoked to see the content you'll get from them! Keep it coming - really enjoying what you are doing with the channel.
tough luck this time Kerry. I hope you have a blast out west and win one to boot!
Nice recap
One of those days...nice work staying with it!
Well, now you’ve got the fitness built and bad juju out. Great luck to you on your future events! Thanks for taking us along.
Great recap!! Keep up the great videos and good luck going forward!!
Great mental training to stick with it despite mechanical issues. Great work Kerry, fun video to watch. It's good to check those spare tubes - especially with a tubeless gravel set up, I've found ones with holes worn in them.
nice relaxing commentary...love it Kerry!
Bummed for you on those two flats. Strong ride to claw back after all that bad luck. That singletrack descent on the course put a big smile on my face.
I’ll look forward to watching tomorrow! I’m in Hampton,Tn!
sick ripping with u! Bummer about the flats dude
“Ah…the sensations in the legs must be good.”
“Australian Guy”…was that Nathan Haas or Freddy Ovett?
Bummed for you that you had the two flats. Bummed for me that I ain’t a 290 watt NP over 7 hours. Maybe 17 minutes!
Sorry hear about your flats dude that really does suck! Just out of curiosity what power meter do you use?
@kerrywerner what is the max tire size you can fit in the Libre with 700C. I have seen you run some big tires but I only see 45's listed on kona site but nothing about max size. Thanks and great job here
School boy error! no tube and pump that's a shame!
Have your tire sponsor produce a bib mousse for these long distance gravel races
Are you coming up to Michigans BWR The He’ll of the Great Lakes
No unfortunately it conflicts with Unpaved.
@@KDubzDidWhat Darn, would've loved to see you race it as a follow up to last year's Ice Man
Just wondering if you’ve tried inner tube w Orange sealant inside , I’ve been doing this for road, but how will it fare if tried on gravel?
Are you still going to try to get involved in nascar driving? I know you mentioned possibly joining the Marlboro team.
ha, solid. I've now lived in NC long enough to assume that NASCAR is all CAPS!
Tuff luck😕
Thanks for the update video. I really enjoy your pre and post race videos. Do you plan on more fix a flat options, in future races, or just hope the same thing doesn't happen in future races. 👍👊✌🖖
