    A small English village on the North Sea coast with thousands of years of history has been crumbling into the sea due to decades of coastal erosion. Happisburgh, located in North Norfolk, has seen dozens of homes wash away to sea as the cliff face edges closer and closer to its remaining residents.

    It would only cost a fraction of what the government is spending on HS1 to protect the east coast and the architectural heritage therein and people's lives.

    It’s been falling into the sea for millions of years. I know, build your town 4 feet from the edge of a cliff, pure genius! No sympathy from me.
