Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest: The Avenue of the Giants of North Carolina

A beautiful and free park in North Carolina, it hosts several old growth trees, some estimated to be 400 years or older! According to Google, the yellow poplars are the largest trees in this park. Thanks for watching!

I know that famous poem about trees. Neat that this area is named after the poet. This looks like such a great area to hike with the old growth forest. So neat that some of those popular trees are 400 years old!

I enjoyed your North Carolina Forest Adventure! I liked the deep woods steps they created on the trail. Those were some incredible giant trees. You captured the sounds of your surroundings very well!

Thank you so much! The trail is remote as it gets, I think only local folks come in.
