Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through UA-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. While ago, I was visiting my sister and her family in Kent .We went up to London and on the train back , I found myself facing Bob Mortimer with his son . I nodded to him , he nodded back, then broke into a massive grin .We then began chuckling and by the time we reached Seven oaks ,my face n ribs were killing me . Not a word spoken .Just stood laughing at each other. Priceless .

Hi Connor, regarding camping the video you did about Cornwall and Devon that you did are two counties full of camping sites. Big holiday areas with resorts, hotels , camping and Airbnb.

When it is about Bob the probabilities are very, very high that it is a true story. It is just unbelievable how many weird things he has done but he is the type that says "yes" to everything.. From personal experience of having that same attitude.. my life has been quite weird and often i sound unbelievable.
Bob would be an absolute nightmare to play poker against! But an absolute pleasure to play with I would bet.. he’s such a ledge 😂
The thing with Lee and David is that they've been doing this for like a decade and a half or more, so there aren't a lot of stories left, but occasionally one of their stories will be true.
What you could do a video on is British holiday camps, very popular in the fifties for family holidays as they supplied all your entertainment and food , there must be a UA-cam video about Butlins holiday camps , they were the most popular at the time
I remember going to Pontins as a kid in the early 80's. They were more like POW camps with music by then 😂😂
@@neilpaine9063 We went to Butlins a couple of times in the early 80s (Ayr and Minehead) and personally I thought both camps were completely brilliant. So much fun stuff to do.
Connor that is your first mistake. Anyone who has watched this show knows NEVER EVER right off Lee Mack as telling lies. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Bob Mortimer is a legend. We have holiday sites all over the UK. Companies like Butlins, Hoe Seasons, Park Dean, and lots of little private camp sites. These are not like you would have in the states (I have seen Friday 13th). 😂🤣😂🤣

Can camp at many places. The common thing is through a company called Haven, who have canpsites all over the UK. You can go in various onsite accommodations or pitch a tent/ use a campervan etc . There's a similar company called Butlins, but they don't allow tents if I recall
To answer your question. The favourite camping destination. Tends to be the New Forest. That's incredibly popular. But there are great places to camp all over the UK.
I personally love camping in the West County.
Bob is truly a man of the world with many talents.
I’m sure there will be clips about BUTLIN’S campsites. I think they go back to the 1930’s. Very popular with families.
The sitcom HI DE HI is set in a holiday campsite during the 1950’s.

I love this channel. No bullshit lights and pictures from fans in the background. Stops and rewinds to hear a joke properly, showing he is totally invested. Clearly understands the nuances of British humour. Doesn't over-react, just honestly reacts. Doesn't edit out fuckups.

@@mathiasosiriswoodhal Sadly,I am showing my age because they used to be the Joint Number 2 Holiday Campsm with Pontins, both behind Butlins. I had a wonderful holiday there at Sinah Warren,Hayling Island , Hampshire in 1968 just the odd 55 years ago however " It was sold in 1983 and the name was changed to Irwin Park. A number of the old chalets and buildings still survive today although most of the chalets are now privately owned. The first ever Warners camp, occupying 36 acres and able to accommodate 850 guests. Opened in 1931 and was used throughout the war as HMS Northney.

Pick a national park and there will be somewhere great to pitch a tent (dedicated sites) Scotland generally is great, The Lakes, The Peak District, New Forest, Snowdonia NP, Kielder Forest etc etc. . . and No, you would not camp at places like Haven, Butlins, and Pontins lol - They are what Americans would call a trailer park (except with a communal hall with low rent entertainment) or think of a summer camp, just way way worse 😂

Pretty much every one of bobs stories have been true.
My rule: The more ridiculous Bob's story is, the more plausible it is he's telling the truth.
How I understand the rules, only what is on the card and direct answers to the questions have to be truthful. Any extra "info" can be embellished or blatant lies to entertain and confuse. But Mortimer's extra bits are usually so mundane (but funny) compered to the main claim, that you think it all has to be a lie when added together.
No, unlike Lee, Bob's Impossible stories are always true. Also, despite his 2nd son, 4th son story, Bob is actually a lawyer.
Just to be clear, everything bob said doesn't have to be true, he can lie as much as he wants to throw off the other team. So yeah sometimes he does purposely make things up to make them not believe him.
