    Jonathan Swift lived from November 30, 1667 till October 19, 1745. He was a satirist, author, essayist, poet, and Anglican cleric. He's known for A Tale of a Tub (1704), An Argument Against Abolishing Christianity (1712), Gulliver's Travels (1726), and A Modest Proposal (1729).
