😅❤seriously, this video helped me SO much. I was doing a swap with the exact same key fob. The only comments I have is that... you gotta be careful when taking the thing apart, the spring will unwind itself, and throw parts if you're not careful, and the battery goes in the other direction. The old fob has it + side down. New one, + side up. 😂thought I really broke it when it didn't start working.
I just switched mine yesterday. It was a pain in the ass. It was alot harder than I expected but I got it 👍. Btw your camaro is clean af bro.

I did this one too had to literally destroy the old fob it was a pain in the ass to get apart but love that new key now I need to find a locksmith in my area that will do the cutting!
Yup I destroyed my key and threw it away but ya I love mine also
@@jjcamps still have to find someone that can cut it for me but this fob works so much better.
THAT WAS ONE OF THE RECALLS OF THE KEY FOB ! PEOPLE WOULD HIT THERE KNEE ON THE KEY FOB AND SHUT DOWN THE CAR WHILE DRIVING! THATS WHY THE KEY IS SEPERATE FROM THE FOB!
True, but I've never even come close to hitting my keys while driving. I'm doing the conversion.
This probably was a recall because of short / old people sitting to close to the steering wheel. I've never hit my knee on the key fob in the 7 years I've had my car. Smh 😑

Why couldnt you have taken the key from original fob and place it in the new one and not worry about having to key a new key?
you can use your old non-flip key on your new flip, You don't need to go and have it cut.

They sale it if u have remote start or if u don’t just gotta choose what remote u got
Got the same key swapped all over, drilled the key and even used the original blade and never worked. , then after 1 day of trying to make it work the cover broke. Made in China
Ya it’s like 6$ and get what we pay for but rn mine is still doing okay
